Chapter 562: Do They Live in Adjacent Buildings?

In the next few days, Alaric and Stellan were both very busy, but they were also very efficient. Under Stellan's personal supervision, all the medical staff at VitalityCare Medical Center were already in place.

They had also chosen the date for the opening, but before the official ribbon-cutting ceremony, Alaric and Stellan found some time to visit Josep's home.

"You two are so busy, there's no need to come visit me," Josep felt a bit embarrassed that they made a special trip to see him.

"You've moved into a new home, it's natural to celebrate." Stellan explained.

"I'm not an outsider, there's no need for such formalities." Josep replied.

"It's not really a formality, just a visit." Alaric said, standing by the window and looking out.

Because when Gillian ran away from home, Alaric had been to Tommy's house, so he was somewhat familiar with this neighborhood.

"Josep, your building is very close to Tommy's house." Alaric commented.

"Yes, there's just a large green space between us. Without it, we'd be in buildings right next to each other.."

"That is indeed very close," Alaric uttered. "That's good, you two living close to each other can look out for one another."

"Yes, that was the idea when I chose this place," Josep replied. "Tommy has had a hard life, having parents is like not having them at all. As for me, my parents have passed away, and I have no wife or children, so it's good to have someone to look out for each other."

"Yes." Alaric responded again.

"I've already seen the news, the hospital's ribbon-cutting ceremony is on the 18th of this month."

"Yes," Stellan replied. "We especially want to invite you to give a speech at the ribbon-cutting."

"It's your hospital, why would I give a speech? I won't go." Josep quickly declined.

"You are highly respected in our medical field. If you could give a speech at the ribbon-cutting, it would truly honor our hospital. Josep, please, for my sake, will you go?" Stellan pleaded.

"Yes, Josep, this is Stellan's first venture, could you support us?" Alaric asked for his opinion.

"Alright, since you both insist, it would be inappropriate for me to refuse. I'll go!" Josep agreed.

"Thank you, Josep," Stellan replied gratefully. "Alright, Josep, you should rest now, we won't disturb you any longer."

"Now that you know where I live, feel free to come by anytime."

"Alright, we won't be formal with you."

Josep walked them to the elevator and watched them get in.

Now that Stellan's body was slightly heavier, Alaric was very careful holding her. After they walked out of the building, Alaric looked up at the building where Tommy lived.

"Tommy lives on the ninth floor of this building." Alaric said to Stellan.

"This one?" Stellan counted the floors and pointed to his window.

"Yes."

"Then it really is close to Josep's place. Josep's duplex is on the fifth floor, which is equivalent to the tenth floor. They might even be able to see each other's homes."

"Yes."

They could indeed see each other if they wanted to.

"Alaric, shall we go?" Seeing Alaric still looking at Tommy's house, Stellan asked.

"Alright." Alaric withdrew his gaze, then held Stellan's body and walked away.

At that moment, Tommy, standing by the floor-to-ceiling window, also withdrew his gaze from them.

"Tommy, what are you looking at?" Gillian also looked down but couldn't see Alaric and Stellan anymore.

"I came to hang clothes and happened to see Mr. Knight and Mrs. Knight," Tommy replied. "They must have come to visit Uncle Josep, but they've already left."

Gillian looked again but couldn't see anyone.

"They're so inconsiderate, coming all the way here and not stopping by our place, just walking past our building," Gillian commented.

"Mr. Knight and Mrs. Knight are busy, it's understandable."

"That's true. Tommy, did you see the news? Stellan's hospital is about to have its ribbon-cutting ceremony. Last time we picked up Uncle Josep, we only saw the outside of the hospital, didn't go in. I saw the aerial view of the hospital on the news, it's so beautiful. Shall we go join the fun on the ribbon-cutting day?"

"You go, I won't." Tommy knew Alaric wouldn't welcome him.

"Come on, it won't be fun if I go alone. You have the night shift that day, so you're free during the day. Come on, Tommy." Gillian pleaded.

"Alright, I'll go," Tommy smiled helplessly. "I really can't say no to you."

Soon it was the 18th, the day of the hospital's official ribbon-cutting ceremony.

When Stellan's Reassuring Clinic opened, it was a big event, let alone this top private hospital, which was dozens of times larger.

From the start of construction, it was labeled as the top private hospital in the country, so it attracted a lot of attention. Today, with the official opening, many media reporters and elites from various fields came to congratulate.

As Alaric's only good friend, Cormac naturally came to support, bringing Rowena and Aurora along. Cormac and Aurora were like Rowena's two bodyguards, protecting her like a treasure.

As the star of the day, Stellan was naturally the center of attention. After Josep's ribbon-cutting speech, Stellan stood in front of the media reporters, accepting their interviews.

Since Stellan was pregnant and there were many media and guests, Alaric was worried they might crowd her, so he stayed by her side to protect her.

"Cormac, Mrs. Rowena." Gillian saw Cormac and Rowena in the crowd and pulled Tommy over to them.

"Ms. Emberlyn, you came too?" Cormac asked.

"Yes, it's so lively, I came to take a look," Gillian replied, pulling Tommy over. "This is my boyfriend, Tommy Reaves, you know him."

"Yes," Cormac extended his hand to Tommy. "Long time no see."

Tommy also extended his hand for a shake. "Yes, Mr. Nash, it's been a long time."

"Since you left Nexus Innovations, we haven't seen much of each other," Cormac said. "You've really had a lot of different roles in a short time, from an intern at Nexus Innovations to Ambrose's assistant, and now a police officer."

"I'm ashamed to say." Tommy replied.

"Not at all, I mean it. Anyone who has been an undercover cop is not an ordinary person," Cormac uttered. "I heard you're already a deputy captain, congratulations."

"I was just lucky." Tommy answered.

"Not luck, it's skill," Gillian couldn't help but praise whenever she got the chance.

"You two really are a perfect match." Rowena complimented.

"Thank you, Mrs. Rowena," Gillian responded, looking at her belly. "How many months are you pregnant? Your belly looks quite big."

"Over six months."

"You'll be a mom in just over three months, I'm so envious."

"No need to be envious. If you two get married and then have a baby, it will happen soon." Rowena comforted her.

"When I get pregnant, I'll come to you for advice. I don't know anything."

"Of course, no problem."

After chatting with Cormac and Rowena for a bit, Gillian saw Josep coming over, so she and Tommy walked away.
