Chapter 556: Having Me Is Enough
After working a night shift, Tommy came home to find Gillian still asleep. He prepared breakfast first, then went into the bedroom and bent down to kiss the still-dreaming Gillian.
"Gillian, it's time to get up. Breakfast is ready."
Gillian heard Tommy's voice and felt his good morning kiss. She smiled with her eyes still closed and said, “A princess needs at least a hundred good morning kisses to wake up.”
"By the time I give you a hundred kisses, breakfast will be cold." Tommy replied.
Gillian slowly opened her eyes, then wrapped her arms around his neck, playfully saying, "Then you owe me. Pay me back tonight."
"Alright." Tommy agreed, letting her arms stay around his neck as he used his strength to pull her up.
After helping her up, Tommy helped her get dressed. Gillian, still not fully awake, leaned lazily against him.
"Tommy, how can you be so considerate?" After he finished dressing her, Gillian praised him, "With your love, how could I love anyone else?"
Tommy pinched her cheek affectionately and smiled, "Having me is enough."
"Yes, having you is having everything." Gillian spoke this with great satisfaction.
After breakfast, Gillian quickly said to Tommy, “Tommy, you worked so hard last night. Go rest, I'll go hire a housekeeper.”
"It's fine, I'm not tired." Tommy replied, "You're so innocent and inexperienced, I don't want you to get scammed. I'll go with you."
"I may be inexperienced, but I'm not stupid. How could I get scammed hiring a housekeeper?" Gillian uttered as she pulled Tommy back to the bedroom.
"Don't worry about it. Just go to sleep, and by the time you wake up, the maid will be here. Today, let the maid cook, and we'll see if her cooking is good. If not, we'll find another one."
"Okay." Tommy agreed, handing her his bank card, "Gillian, this is my bank card. Take it. It doesn't have much money, but it should be enough."
"Why are you giving me your bank card?" Gillian said, "You work so hard, keep the money for yourself. If I need money, I'll ask my dad. After all, I'm his only daughter, his money will be mine eventually."
"That's not right." Tommy explained, "You're grown up now, don't make Mr. Emberlyn worry. I'm your boyfriend, it's my job to take care of you. I don't have many expenses, so just take it."
Gillian, who was currently unemployed and preparing to pursue a PhD, had no income and relied on Tommy.
Taking Tommy's bank card, Gillian was deeply moved, "Alright, I'll keep it for now."
"I know you've lived a comfortable life and have high expenses. Don't worry, I'll work hard and make sure your quality of life doesn't drop."
Hearing this, Gillian was completely willing to live a modest life with Tommy. She quickly spoke, "Tommy, how can you be so considerate and good?"
Gillian hugged him again and added, "I know you work hard for money. Don't worry, before I start earning, I'll spend wisely."
"No need." Tommy replied firmly, "As long as I'm here, don't worry, I won't let you suffer."
"Of course, I trust you completely. Now, go to sleep, I'm heading out."
"Okay, be safe and call me if you need anything."
"Alright." Gillian answered, giving him another kiss on the lips. She only left after seeing him lie down.
After leaving the house, Gillian looked at his bank card again and couldn't help but kiss it. To her, it wasn't just an ordinary bank card; it was a symbol of their love.
Gillian was in a great mood as she walked out, but soon felt lost because she wasn't familiar with Arizona and didn't know where to hire a housekeeper. After thinking for a while, she called Stellan.
In Arizona, she didn't know many people, just the Knight family. If she needed help, Stellan was the only one she could turn to.
Stellan was quite surprised to see Gillian's call.
"Stellan, how are you feeling? Can you go out?" Gillian asked.
"Of course, what's wrong?"
"I need you to come with me to hire a housekeeper. I'm not familiar with Arizona and don't know where to hire."
"Sure, where are you? I'll come find you."
"Stellan, you're the best. I'll send you my location right away."
Hearing that Stellan had agreed, Alaric was quite helpless.
"You're always so kind, agreeing to everything people ask. How are you going to go out with her now?" Alaric asked.
"My morning sickness has eased a lot. Staying home is boring, it's good to go out for a walk."
"Alright, let Mia go with you, and I'll send a driver and bodyguards. This time, don't let the bodyguards leave your side, understand?"
Although the mysterious "Tiger" hadn't appeared yet, it was still a special time. But that shouldn't affect their normal life. Stellan needed to go out, and it was good for both her and the baby.
So Alaric arranged a driver, Mia, and several bodyguards for Stellan.
"Stellan, you really make an impression when you go out. Look at these bodyguards, they're all so strong." When Gillian saw Stellan, she was a bit intimidated by the entourage.
"No choice, Alaric is very cautious. But it's good to be careful."
"Yes, I heard you were kidnapped before? So it's good to be careful, especially since you're with me. If anything happens to you, Alaric will kill me. With bodyguards, it's their responsibility, not mine." Gillian quickly shifted the responsibility.
"Yes, it's not your responsibility." Stellan wasn't surprised that Gillian needed a maid, given that Gillian had been taken care of by maids since childhood. She asked, "You need housekeepers? How many?"
"One is enough. It's not like the Knight Mansion, our house isn't that big. Just need someone to cook and clean." Gillian answered.
"That's easy. We have many housekeepers who have worked for us for years and are very professional. You can take your pick." Stelllan spoke to Gillian.
"No way, no matter how good your maids are, I won't take any." Gillian refused firmly.
"Why?" Stellan asked, puzzled.
