Chapter 598 Not Only Those Tied Up Are Called Hostages

Who could the hostage in his hands be, and who was the person closest to him?

Harry and Elisa were at school, Stellan was in the hospital, and Caspian was in the military. None of them could be here.

"Can't figure it out, can you?" Joe sneered, seeing the confusion on Alaric's face. "You guys are so naive. Do you think the only hostages are the ones tied up next to me? Let me clue you in—anyone can be a hostage, even if they're not right here."

As Joe finished speaking, a swarm of armed men flooded into the empty hall, surrounding Alaric and aiming their guns at him.

"Man, I love this scene!" Joe exclaimed, pulling out his phone to record a video, which he then sent to someone.

"Guess who I just sent that video to?"

Who did he send it to?

"Joe, you bastard!" Alaric shouted, realizing Joe had sent the video to Stellan, intending to stress her into premature labor, and then...

Alaric quickly pulled out his phone to call Stellan, but there was no signal.

"Don't bother. I installed special jammers on this mountain, blocking all external signals. That means everyone here, including those dumb cops outside, has no signal. Only my phone works."

Realizing this, Alaric tried to move forward, but the surrounding men quickly closed in, pressing their guns to his head and coldly warning, "Don't move!"

"Alaric, I suggest you save your energy. Instead of struggling, why not listen to my plan?" Joe sat down leisurely. "Because Gillian was hospitalized, you and Stellan have been staying at the hospital. Hospitals are chaotic places where anyone can get in."

"I've known for a while who the doctor delivering your wife's baby is. You two are so in love; if she sees you surrounded by guns, how could she not be scared into premature labor?"

"And my men are masters of disguise. One of them has already taken the place of your wife's doctor. As soon as she goes into labor, he'll act."

"Do you think anyone will notice? Even if all your friends and family are there, they'll just watch as my man wheels your wife into the delivery room. Once inside..."

"Don't you feel a sense of regret for missing something? Haha, the Knight family, the Nash family, the Storm family, the Vale family—aren't they all supposed to be powerful? But does it matter?"

"Aren't they all just my pawns? For years, I've been playing you all like puppets!"

Alaric knew he had to stay calm, even though the thought of Stellan being in danger made him lose his composure.

"What do you want? You must have a goal for taking hostages. What do you want?"

"Finally, the main point. Of course, I have a goal." Joe stated his condition, "Have the police bring Tommy to the location I specify. Once my men take him, maybe your wife, child, and that idiot Josep won't have to die."

Alaric had suspected this, but hearing it still surprised him. This cold-blooded bastard had set up such an elaborate plan just to save Tommy.

"You stayed in Arizona City all this time just for Tommy?"

"Of course. Tommy is like a son to me; he's my only hope. If it weren't for him, do you think I'd waste my time facing you all?"

"But even if you let him go, he won't leave. If he wanted to, he wouldn't have turned himself in. He's not like you," Alaric said.

"Do as I say and stop talking nonsense!" Joe ordered his men, "Bring Neil in here."

Neil had been anxious since Alaric went in, as it had been too long.

When Neil heard he was being called in, Vernon immediately tried to stop him, "Mr. Jackson, this is a death trap. You can't go in. Alaric might already be..."

"Shut up! Stay here and be ready to attack if you hear anything inside!"

Neil knew he had to go in because Alaric was still inside. Once he entered, he couldn't help but clap at the sight.

"Wow, so many guns. It's like a movie," Neil remarked.

But his gun was quickly taken away, and Joe threw his phone at him, ordering, "Call your department and tell them to release Tommy!"

Neil knew exactly who Joe meant. He glanced at Alaric, but Joe snapped, "Don't look at him. His wife and kids' lives are in my hands. If you don't comply, they'll die. It's been a few minutes since I sent her the video; she should be in premature labor by now..."

Before receiving the video, Stellan and the others were in Rowena's room. Rowena had just given birth to a healthy seven-pound boy, and both mother and child were safe.

Cormac was overjoyed, staying by Rowena's side, "Rowena, you were amazing. You're incredible!"

Stellan and Gillian were by the baby, unable to resist playing with him.

"Such a tiny, adorable baby. Newborns are so small and cute!" Gillian exclaimed.

"Yes, the baby is adorable," Stellan agreed. "Cormac, Rowena, have you named him yet?"

"Not yet, we haven't had time to think about it," Cormac laughed. "No rush, we'll come up with a good name."

"Okay," Stellan smiled, but then felt a sharp pain in her stomach.

"What's wrong, Stellan? Are you okay?" Gillian asked, concerned.

"I'm fine."

"Galatea, you've been busy for a while. Go rest in your room," Rowena said weakly from the bed.

"Okay, you rest well. I'll head back." Stellan's stomach was bothering her, so she decided to lie down. As she left the room, her phone buzzed with a video and a message.

[Stellan, Alaric is about to die. Prepare to bury him and Josep together!]

Seeing the video and message, Stellan's hands shook, and her phone fell to the ground.

What was happening? Why was Alaric surrounded by so many guns in the video?

Cormac, closest to the door, rushed out when he heard the noise.

Seeing Stellan like this, Cormac was alarmed. "Galatea, what's wrong? Is your stomach hurting?"

"Cormac, Alaric is in danger! Where is he? Where is he now..."

Stellan couldn't finish her sentence due to the pain. Cormac picked up her phone and saw the video.

What?

Where was he? Cormac didn't know!

Stellan's pain was intensifying.

"Galatea, don't scare me. Are you... Are you going into labor early?" Cormac was panicking. "Don't worry about Alaric. Focus on yourself. Stay calm, stay calm!"

Cormac was also terrified by the video, but Stellan was now in premature labor.

"Gillian, please watch Rowena and the baby for a bit. Galatea's in pain; I need to get her to a doctor," Cormac instructed.

"Okay," Gillian responded quickly.

"Cormac, don't worry about me... go save Alaric... hurry and save Alaric," Stellan pleaded, scared.

"Don't worry, don't worry. I'll get you to a doctor and then figure something out!"

Cormac was sweating with anxiety. He quickly found a wheelchair for Stellan to sit in.

Pushing Stellan urgently, Cormac sought out the doctor she had arranged.

"Doctor, she's in a lot of pain. Is she going into labor early?"

"Alright," the doctor responded calmly. "Leave her to me."

The doctor took over Stellan's wheelchair. Despite the pain, Stellan told Cormac, "Cormac, don't worry about me. Go save him."

"Okay, I will," Cormac replied.

This was Stellan's hospital, and the doctors and nurses were her subordinates. They would take good care of her.

After handing Stellan over to the doctor, Cormac hurriedly ran off.
