Chapter 600 Thrilling Moment

Stellan saw everything happening, but she was in so much pain that she couldn't get out of bed.

Seeing the video of Alaric in danger had already given her a severe shock, and now, with Cormac about to be assassinated right in front of her, her fear only intensified.

The more scared she was, the worse her reaction became, creating a vicious cycle. She was in so much pain that she was trembling all over and couldn't move.

"Is anyone in there? Open the door!"

Just then, there was a knock at the door. Cormac had already instructed the nurse to check the surveillance and call all the security guards, so they must have arrived by now.

The knock on the door distracted the attacker for a moment. In that brief window, Cormac pushed him away with all his strength and ran towards the door, shouting, "Help... ah!"

The door was not only locked but also blocked by a cabinet. For the people outside to get in, Cormac had to move the cabinet first.

But as soon as he ran out of the partition and started to speak, the attacker kicked him to the ground, stomped on his chest, and covered his mouth with a medical disinfectant cloth, preventing him from making any sound.

"I'm performing a C-section on Director Storm. Who dares to interrupt? If anything happens to Director Storm, can you take responsibility?"

The attacker shouted at the security guards outside, pretending to be authoritative. Cormac struggled to make a sound but couldn't.

If it were Alaric and Tommy, both skilled in martial arts, they might have handled the situation easily. But Cormac wasn't like them. He was just an ordinary man, facing a professional assassin.

Hearing the attacker's words, the security guards outside exchanged confused looks. The indicator light on the door indeed showed that a surgery was in progress, and everything inside seemed normal. Then...

As the sound of their footsteps faded away, Cormac felt utterly hopeless. Those idiots didn't believe him!

If he couldn't hold on, he would die here, and Stellan would too.

Cormac fought desperately, pushing the attacker away and grabbing a scalpel from the shelf. He had no choice but to rely on himself now. If he didn't want to die, he had to fight.

As the two men wrestled, Stellan was in unbearable pain. With the security guards gone, everyone would assume a normal surgery was taking place.

The space outside the delivery room was large and completely isolated. Once the security guards left, no one else would come.

"Galatea! Galatea!" Cormac shouted while struggling with the attacker. "I can't hold him off... You... you have to try to deliver the baby yourself! I'll keep him busy!"

Stellan was a doctor, not an obstetrician, but she knew more than the average person. She had been with Rowena during her delivery earlier today.

She knew the entire process of childbirth. Babies don't wait, and there was no telling when the actual doctor would arrive.

With her medical knowledge, she could attempt to deliver her baby. Even if she couldn't, there was no other option now.

Hearing that Stellan might deliver her baby, the assassin naturally wouldn't agree. He gripped his knife and moved towards her, but Cormac grabbed him from behind.

The assassin couldn't break free and threw himself backward, slamming Cormac's back onto the ground.

Cormac didn't let go, quickly flipping over and trying to stab the assassin with the scalpel. But it was futile; the scalpel was kicked away. Fortunately, the assassin's knife was also knocked out during the struggle.

Now both men were unarmed, resorting to punching each other!

Meanwhile, Neil had called the police as Joe instructed. As soon as the call ended, Joe took the phone.

He received a video message and smiled with satisfaction.

"Just ten minutes ago, my men reported back."

Joe played the video for Alaric. "Mr. Knight, see this? My men have your wife on the delivery bed, and everyone else is down. Your wife and child's lives are in my hands..."

Before Joe could finish, Alaric kicked his wrist, making him drop the phone.

Joe had said that only this phone could be used here. His men had control over Stellan, but they needed his command to act. Without the phone, he couldn't give orders, buying Stellan some time.

Seeing Alaric's move, the man holding a gun to his head tried to pull the trigger, but Alaric was faster.

He grabbed the man's gun hand and smashed his elbow into the man's arm, breaking it. The gun fell from his grip.

Alaric took the gun, flipped the man over his shoulder, and used his body to knock down two other armed men.

Alaric's movements were swift and seamless, leaving no time for anyone to react.

He fired at Joe, but Joe dodged quickly.

"There's gunfire inside!" Vernon, waiting outside, heard the shots and ordered, "Move in, follow me!"

Vernon led the police inside, and a fierce battle ensued, with gunfire and bullets flying everywhere.

Screams and blood filled the air.

"Alaric, we've got this. Go, save your wife!"

All signals were cut off, and they couldn't send messages out. Only Alaric could call for help once he got down the mountain.

"Got it!"

Alaric was desperate to reach Stellan. Under Neil's cover, he was about to leave.

Suddenly, a bullet was fired at him. Alaric dodged quickly, but it grazed his arm, splattering blood on his face.

"Alaric!"

Neil didn't have time to check on him. Joe was already in front of them, looking like a bloodthirsty beast.

"Alaric, I told you, if I die, you, your wife, and your child will all die with me!"

Alaric wanted to leave to save Stellan, but as long as Joe was alive, he couldn't go anywhere!
