Chapter 530: I'm asking you, are you scared?
'Be her boyfriend?' When Tommy heard this, he even doubted if he was hallucinating. 'Did Gillian really just say that?'
Seeing Tommy standing there in a daze without responding for a few seconds, Gillian felt awkward and gave him a nudge, asking, "Are you even listening to me? I just confessed to you, and you didn't respond at all!"
Tommy shifted his body and then helped Gillian up first. "Let me help you up first."
Tommy helped Gillian up. He didn't answer directly earlier, and now he was changing the subject again. Did this mean he was rejecting her?
"This is the first time I've ever confessed to a guy. Let me tell you, there are plenty of men chasing after me. If I wanted, a bunch of them would be fighting to be my boyfriend. I'm giving you this chance, so don't take it for granted."
Gillian felt so embarrassed and awkward, but she had to maintain her dignity.
"I am really surprised." Tommy was indeed surprised, then he looked at her and asked, "You used to say that the days worrying about Mr. Emberlyn were tough. Now that Mr. Emberlyn has finally retired, are you going to worry about me? Someone from a wealthy family like yours should live a stable and comfortable life. You have every condition to find such a man."
"So you're really rejecting me?"
Tommy remained silent.
"You really are rejecting me!" Gillian was really frustrated. "Tommy, are you really rejecting me?"
She rarely took the initiative to confess, and she was being ruthlessly rejected?
"Do you trust Alaric?"
"What?" Gillian couldn't follow his train of thought. "I'm talking about us, why are you bringing him up?"
"Because of what happened before, he has always been prejudiced against me. He must have told you that I'm not a simple person and that you should stay away from me.
You just live in my house because I am grateful to Mr. Emberlyn and take care of you. That's one thing. If we become lovers, it becomes another matter.
You grew up with Alaric. Don't you trust his words? He wants you to stay away from me, but you not only didn't listen, you want me to be your boyfriend. Aren't you afraid, as he said, that I'm a bad person?"
Gillian looked straight into Tommy's eyes. She was indeed naive because Thomas had always protected her well since she was a child.
Also, because of Thomas's status, everyone treated her well. No one dared to bully her.
As Thomas said, he had planned her future path well. Everything had gone smoothly for her, and she had never experienced deceit or the dark side of human nature.
At this moment, she looked into Tommy's eyes and felt that his gaze was pure and clean.
"I do trust him, but after getting to know you, I fell in love with you. You know I have many flaws and am hard to get along with.
When I used to visit my dad in the army during holidays, the kitchen staff would cry because I was so picky about food that the chefs couldn't handle it.
But despite being so difficult, you managed to handle me easily. I love the food you cook; I think it's delicious. I love that you teach me fitness and tutor me in my studies.
In short, I admire you a lot. I think you're amazing and perfect. I have so many flaws and am so picky. If I think someone isn't good enough for me, I despise them.
So I want to find someone I admire. I used to admire Alaric, but I might have misunderstood. I only admired him, but with you, it's more than admiration. I can feel it."
After listening, Tommy remained silent. He had always thought Gillian would be hard to get along with and that it would be difficult for anyone to win her heart. He didn't expect her to fall for him so easily.
"I've said so much, so what's your attitude?"
"You're really not afraid?"
"If I like someone, I go for it. I'm not afraid. Besides, who can predict the future? Many people seem good before marriage but turn out to be abusive afterward. I'm spontaneous. If I get deceived, I'll accept it. And..."
At this point, Gillian raised an eyebrow and said in a threatening tone, "If you dare to deceive or hurt me, do you think my dad will let you off? Even though he's retired, he still has some power. With just one word from him, a whole battalion could come with guns. Do you think you could survive that? You shouldn't be asking if I'm afraid; I should be asking you, are you afraid?"
Hearing this, Tommy couldn't help but laugh. Her words just now really had the demeanor of a general's daughter.
"I'm not afraid." After laughing, Tommy answered firmly.
Gillian, excited, jumped onto him, and Tommy caught her in his arms.
"So you're agreeing?" Gillian asked, not waiting for his answer. She excitedly declared, "I don't care, you're agreeing. From now on, you're my boyfriend!"
Tommy smiled indulgently and helplessly.
"The most handsome man in the world is my boyfriend, awesome!"
Gillian was genuinely excited. After a while, she looked seriously at Tommy and voiced, "Tommy, you have to work hard and humiliate Alaric, just to prove he was wrong. Anyway, you've already made him suffer several times."
"I'm being wronged, I never made Alaric suffer. I don't have that ability."
"You do!" Gillian replied confidently. "I think you're much better than Alaric. You're better than any man in the world. Tommy, you're the best!"
Gillian was now Tommy's biggest fan. The more she looked at him, the more she liked him. The more she interacted with him, the more she admired him. She was completely captivated by him.
"We're already a couple, so let's sleep together tonight."
"So soon?"
"Of course, we're adults, Tommy. We've confirmed our relationship, so why not? What era are we in? Why so traditional?" Gillian spoke directly. "I don't care, I want to sleep with you."
"OK."
Hearing Tommy agree, Gillian became even more excited. It was their first time making love, and it was particularly passionate. Afterward, they felt really comfortable.
At this point, Tommy suddenly thought of a serious question: "You're dating me, but you haven't told Mr. Emberlyn. And we're moving so fast. Won't he be angry when he finds out?"
"He won't. He listens to me. If he disagrees, I'll cry and make a fuss. He can't do anything about it."
Thomas doted on Gillian the most. Whenever she cried, he couldn't do anything.
