Chapter 560: Alaric Begins to Doubt Himself

Josep was firm, so Alaric and Stellan had no choice but to go along with it.

"Mr. Watkins, this is just a little something to say thanks. You saved our lives; we can never repay you enough." Stellan still tried to persuade him.

"To you, it was a life-saving act. To me, it's just my job," Josep firmly stated. "Let's not bring this up again. Offering a house right off the bat? That's too much. Don't worry about the house; Tommy will take care of it for me."

With that, they had no other options. Alaric finally giving in, "Alright then, since Josep doesn't agree, we won't insist. We can't help with the house, but if you need anything else while you're in Arizona, just let us know."

"Absolutely," Josep replied. "I'm not familiar with Arizona. If I end up staying here long-term, I'll definitely need your help."

"We'd love to." Alaric replied.

The three of them then went to the hospital. Although Stellan had often been at the construction site, seeing it fully completed was really mind-blowing.

"It's changed so much since the last time I saw it." Stellan voiced as she entered the hospital, clearly delighted. Being a fancy private hospital, the facilities were excellent, and the place felt like a luxury park.

The hospital's courtyards and hallways were really well-designed, with many areas looking like scenic spots.

"This is really nice," Josep commented, looking around with satisfaction. "Unlike other hospitals that feel so lifeless, this one is super luxurious. But I bet the medical costs are really high, right? It seems like it's just for rich people and serves a pretty limited group of patients."

"That's not the case," Stellan quickly explained. "The costs are the same as public hospitals, or even lower. It's essentially a welfare hospital.

The reason for all the fancy decor is to give patients the best treatment environment. Alaric has always suffered from illness, so he fully understands the feelings of patients and their families..."

"That's really great," Josep replied, smiling happily. "Now that he has the ability, he's finding ways to give back to society. That's wonderful."Now that he has the ability, he's finding ways to give back to society.

"Josep, you're the one to be admired," Alaric spoke. "Just now, the first thing you thought about was the cost for patients. It's truly admirable."

"Being a doctor is about treating and saving lives. If all the medical facilities and hospital environments are improved, but ordinary people can't afford treatment, wouldn't that be kind of pointless?"

"Yes." Alaric quickly responded.

Hearing Josep's words, Alaric felt genuine admiration, which also made him question his suspicions.

If Josep was really the person behind everything, why would he save Alaric in the first place? Wouldn't it be better to let him die?

But the feeling Josep gave him was similar to Tommy's—an extraordinary perfection that made him uneasy.

"Alaric?" Stellan called out to him, snapping him back to reality.

"Let's take Josep to see the consulting office."

"Alright." Alaric responded quickly and led the way.

Alaric and Stellan spent the day showing Josep around the hospital. After seeing everything, Josep was full of praise.

"This is really impressive. These medical devices are not only advanced in Country A but also internationally. Building such a hospital is remarkable," Josep congratulated Stellan. "Congratulations to you too, Stellan, you're about to become the director."

"Not really, it was Alaric's idea. I'm just reluctantly taking on the role." Stellan replied.

"With your medical skills, how can it be reluctant? Do your best, especially in training more medical talents."

"I hope I won't disappoint you, Josep."

"You definitely won't."

Just as Josep finished speaking, his phone rang. It was Tommy calling. After the call, Josep said, "We just talked about finding a house, and Tommy has already taken care of it. I've seen the hospital, so you guys go ahead with your work."

"Isn't it too soon to look at houses? It's already mealtime; let's eat first." Alaric suggested.

"No need. If you treat me, we'll have to go to a big hotel. No need for such trouble," Josep insisted. "Tommy will be here soon. I'll head out first."

Alaric and Stellan could only see Josep off. Sure enough, Tommy soon arrived with Gillian in the car.

"Uncle Josep," Tommy and Gillian greeted Josep as they got out of the car, then politely greeted Alaric and Stellan, "Mr. Knight, Mrs. Knight."

"Alaric, Stellan!" Gillian cheerfully waved at them.

"I wanted to keep Josep for a meal, but he refused." Stellan explained.

"After Uncle Josep sees the house, we'll take him to eat," Tommy replied. "Mr. Knight, Mrs. Knight, we'll be off now."

Alaric and Stellan watched Tommy's car leave, then turned to Stellan. "The hospital is built, and the medical staff are in place. We can officially open for business."

"The sooner, the better. I hardly have any pregnancy symptoms now, and everything is stable. I can't just sit around at home for the entire pregnancy."

"Yes, it's good for you to keep busy," Alaric agreed. "I'll handle the recruitment of medical staff. You pick a good day, and the hospital can officially start operating."

Hearing this, Stellan ctouched her slightly rounded belly. "Baby, did you hear that? Mommy is about to get busy with work, and you'll be busy with Mommy too."

Alaric smiled and pulled her close. "Let's go pick up Harry and Elisa and head home for dinner."

Tommy and Gillian, after leaving the hospital, took Josep to see a few houses Tommy was interested in.

After looking at the houses, Tommy asked, "Uncle Josep, do you like any of these houses?"

"Yes, Uncle Josep, which one do you like?" Gillian also asked eagerly.

Josep, having been a medical professor for many years, had never married or had children, so he should have plenty of money. Buying a house should be easy for him.

"The layouts are nice, but I don't like the locations," Josep replied, looking around. Suddenly, he thought of something and asked, "Tommy, isn't your neighborhood nearby? Are there any vacant houses in your neighborhood?"

"There actually are. The new duplexes haven't sold much," Tommy replied. "Uncle Josep, do you want to live in the same neighborhood as us?"

"I have that idea. Living close by, we can look out for each other."

"Great!" Gillian clapped her hands. "Uncle Josep is right. It's good to live close by. We're all newcomers to Arizona, so it's better to stay close."
