Chapter 541: Why did you come all of a sudden?
Another round of lovemaking, another moment of satisfaction.
Gillian was completely exhausted, lazily lying in his arms. Tommy naturally held her, his hand gently stroking her hair.
"Tommy," Gillian suddenly looked at him and voiced, "How about we go get married tomorrow?"
"Married? Tomorrow?" Tommy was taken aback. Gillian's idea was really surprising—getting married so soon?
"Yeah, we've already made love. What's so surprising about getting married? Or do you not want to take responsibility?"
"Absolutely not!" Tommy hastily made a vow, "I will definitely take responsibility for you!"
"Isn't that settled then? Taking responsibility means getting married, right? Is there any other way to take responsibility?"
"I know, but..." Tommy was also hesitant, "We haven't even told Mr. Emberlyn about our relationship. If we get married without telling him, won't Mr. Emberlyn be furious? No way. I've thought about it these days. Since we're in a relationship, we should honestly tell Mr. Emberlyn. Tomorrow, I'll call Mr. Emberlyn, or after Hestia's case is closed, we can meet him in person."

"Okay." Tommy quickly reminded her, "If Mr. Emberlyn disagrees or gets angry, don't be rebellious. Explain it to him properly."
"I know, he's my dad. I understand him. Don't worry." After saying that, Gillian smiled happily, then pinched his cheeks, "You're so excellent. My dad won't disagree. Once he agrees, we'll go get married."
"Okay."
Hearing Gillian say this, Tommy also felt a bit more hopeful.
"When we become a legal couple, I'll have children for you," Gillian spoke. "Let's have three, okay? Although the chances of having triplets are low, we can try. If it doesn't work, we'll have three separately."
"Having three times is too much suffering. One child is enough." Tommy replied.
"I know you care about me, but it's okay. Having children for my love willingly won't hurt that much. I just want to have three kids for you, like Caspian, Harry, and Elisa. How wonderful."
"That's something for the future. Let's get past Mr. Emberlyn first."
When Tommy said this, it was clear he was worried and lacked confidence.
"What? Are you afraid my dad won't accept you?"
Since Gillian asked this, Tommy decided to be honest: "Yes, in terms of status, we're really far apart. You're the daughter of a general, but I..."
"You're an all-around super genius!" Gillian interrupted, "You're the future Chief of Police. How could you not be good enough for me? Tommy, I won't let you put yourself down. Gillian was truly his fan. Every time she talked about him, it was with full admiration.
Tommy smiled helplessly again, then kissed her lips and cooed, "Alright, it's late. Let's sleep. Goodnight."
"Goodnight, Tommy." Gillian gave him a deep kiss on the lips before closing her eyes.
As long as she was in Tommy's arms, Gillian felt so secure and slept soundly every night. Tonight was no different.
Gillian usually slept until she woke up naturally, and by the time she woke up, Tommy had already made breakfast. She felt so happy to have his breakfast as soon as she got up.
But today was different. They were woken up by a knock on the door. Hearing the urgent knocking, Gillian, who was sleeping soundly in Tommy's arms, slowly opened her eyes in annoyance.
"Tommy, is someone knocking on the door?" Gillian asked in a completely sleepy voice.
"Yes." Tommy quickly checked the time. It was only 4:30 AM. Who could be knocking at this hour?
"You sleep. I'll go check." With that, Tommy got dressed and got out of bed.
He looked outside. It was still dark, and the knocking was particularly urgent, which was unusual. He cautiously tucked his gun into his waistband and quickly went to open the door.
"Mr. Emberlyn!"
When he saw Thomas standing at the door, Tommy was completely stunned.
Why was Thomas here now?
Thomas didn't even acknowledge him and walked straight into the room. Tommy hurriedly followed.
Thomas went directly to the bedroom. Hearing the heavy footsteps, Gillian, who was about to fall asleep again, was disturbed. "Who is it so early in the morning? Can't people..."
"Gillian!" Tommy quickly reminded her.
When she opened her eyes and saw Thomas standing by the bed, Gillian was instantly scared stiff.
"Dad? What are you doing here?" Gillian was now fully awake and hurriedly covered herself with the blanket.
Wasn't the scene in front of him obvious enough? Thomas felt his blood pressure spike in anger. Tommy and Gillian had already made love!
"Get dressed and come out!" Thomas ordered angrily, then turned and stormed out of the bedroom.
Tommy and Gillian were both terrified. They quickly got dressed and went to the living room, where Thomas was sitting on the couch, his eyes filled with murderous intent.
It really felt like being caught committing a crime. Why did Thomas suddenly show up?
"Dad, why did you suddenly appear without saying anything? You scared me to death, so early in the morning..." Gillian complained, but she was very guilty.
"Gillian, you've really grown up. Are you trying to drive me crazy? How many days have you been in Arizona? And you're already like this!"
Thomas was really furious now. His imposing manner was like a leader reprimanding his subordinates.
Although Thomas spoiled her, she was still afraid when he got angry and scolded people.
"Tommy." Thomas turned his gaze to Tommy, his tone even colder, "Last time, Alaric told me that Gillian couldn't get used to The Knight Mansion and rented your place, saying you were tutoring her. I was relieved. Although I haven't interacted with you much, I could tell you were a mature and steady young man. But what happened? Is this the way you take care of her?"
