Chapter 124
"So adorable," Carla speaks, bringing us back to reality. "You both know I can't work with you being all lovey-dovey in my kitchen. I have to clean up." She shrugs while grinning at us.
"Alright, we're sorry, go ahead and finish up cleaning, we'll be in the living room," Blake says and places his palm at the small of my back and guides me to the living room. When we're well cuddled up on the large white couch, Blake's phone rings in his pocket. I lift myself from him as he reaches into his pocket and pulls the phone out. He checks the screen and frowns deeply.
"Who is it?" I ask and he sighs while holding the phone, which is still ringing in his hand.
"My mom," he replies and I flinch as if his words just cut through my skin.
"Oh," I say, trying so hard not to pick that phone and insult her. "Go ahead and talk to her. Get to hear what she has to say."
Blake only shakes his head and ascends from the couch. He answers the call and walks out of the living room. The muscles on his back look tense as he disappears out of the room.
I'm left here, fingers crossed, hoping that his mother isn't on her way home. Because if she is, I better think of what to do. Either stand up and face her or run away, like a coward before she arrives.
Her face flashes across my mind and I gag.
Blake walks back into the room ten minutes later and finds me texting Vic on my phone. He had earlier asked me where I was.
"What did she say?" I ask Blake and his lips form a straight line on his face.
"She wants us to talk, but somewhere private. In the next two hours. I'm sorry but, I just... I have to go and see her," he says apologetically.
"Oh, it's okay. I understand. Plus, I have to head home, there's some stuff I need to work on with Roxy and her brother, Vic." I choose to leave Scott's name out of this. Because any time I mention Scott, Blake reacts like a grenade. He explodes with fury!
"I'm really, really sorry this came up, babe. But I had a great time with you. Thank you for staying over," he says and takes my hands into his.
"Anything for you, Blake. You better start getting ready. I already took a shower when you were asleep, so I'll wait till you're done so I can leave."
"Okay," he says and rakes his fingers through his hair as he heads out of the room again.
I blow air out of my mouth, relief sweeping over me. Atleast I know his mother isn't coming here. Now, I should head back home and talk to Roxy and the rest about the event.
I'm so deeply rooted in my world of thought that I jump when my phone buzzes beside me. Picking it up, I check the notification bar and a text from dad is on it. I take time to read the extremely long text and at the end my eyes are wider than a tennis ball and a huge grin is plastered on my face. Dad just sent me the event's details, theme and everything else! I can't wait to tell the rest. Plus, I'll need to make some calls and see who else would want to join us.
Blake comes back downstairs, dressed casually, which is so rare of him. A white t-shirt, black jeans and a black leather jacket, paired with black Chuck Taylors. We walk outside after I bid Carla goodbye, then realizing that we won't be riding in the same car, I stop and turn to face him.
"I guess the media won't be coming around here soon," I joke and he chuckles.
"Yeah, thank God they aren't here, otherwise, I wouldn't have left the house," he says and pulls some classy sunglasses from his jacket's pocket and wears them. "But still, I don't want people identifying me too easily."
"Hey, everything is going to be okay. I hope your parents will come to some sort of an agreement and work things out... I'll miss you," I say.
"I'll miss you too. So much." He leans and kisses my lips. His warm lips taste so amazing! "Come visit soon, will you?"
Well Duh! Definitely, my parents aren't even in the country.
"I sure will. Take care of yourself," I say and walk towards my car and he walks to one of the black cars parked somewhere far from where my car is. I watch him drive away in the opposite direction and I insert my key into the ignition.

I arrive home just in time for lunch and the moment I open the door, Snow runs from where he's been waiting for me and into my open arms. He licks my face joyfully when I lift him up.
"Oh, crap! You've been all alone," I gasp. "I'm such a bad mommy, I'm sure you're hungry, let's get you something to eat," I say and close the door behind me. I walk straight to the kitchen, carrying Snow. As I look inside different drawers for his dog food.
"Hey, you female casanova?" A voice startles me.
I jump and unconsciously drop Snow, luckily he lands on his feet. Turning around, I release a heavy sigh.
"Roxy! You scared the crap out of me," I say, panting, with my palm on my chest. I can feel my heart beating so fast. "Don't ever do that again," I say and continue looking for Snow's food.
"What are you looking for?" she asks while leaning against a wall.
"Snow's dog food," I respond.
"Oh, he is already full. I fed him and... he wasn't alone, I sleep in this house, remember? Even though soon, I won't be. I see while the cats are away the little mouse decided to play," she says and winks at me. Now that her dad is around, I'm sure he'll get them a house.
"You're such an angel, thanks for feeding Snow. What have you guys been upto?"
"Huh? Changing the topic, I see. Well, we've been... doing nothing at all. Kye went back to the barracks. Now, how was your stay at the Dawson house? Because I know that's where you've been. I hope you used protection." She frowns.
"We did, we always do. Although when I arrived, I met my worst nightmare," I say rolling my eyes at the thought of Sabrina. "But my night was more than amazing." I bite my lower lip.
"Female casanova!" Roxy whispers.
"Stop that! I'm not a female casanova or whatever that is. I only have feelings for one man." I swat her arm and she laughs.
"Are you sure about that? Okay, so, what exactly happened when you got there?" she asks.
"The media, was all over the place but I found a way to get rid of them and Sabrina was there." I shrug.
"What the hell was Cruella De Vil doing there? That bitch!" Roxy sits on top of the kitchen island.
