Chapter 82
When we go out into the woods with flashlights, the only sounds we hear are of crickets, owls and other animals. Something moves in one of the bushes and Wren squeaks, when I move my flashlight to the bush, a wild rabbit shoots out of a hole and runs very fast, Red doesn't even bother chasing it.
"It's okay," I say. A few steps ahead, I step on something watery, when I use my flashlight to see what it is, I see blood. Lot's of blood! My heart sinks to my stomach.
"Guys! There's blood!" I tell the others and they turn back.
"Oh, God!" Roxy whispers.
"This looks like where it all happened," Kye says and tries to look around the dark area with the help of his flashlight.
"Look, this trail of blood leads back to the river. This must be Axel's blood, because he came back to the river," I say. "Roxy, do you still have Kyrah's jacket?"
"Yeah." She unwraps it from her waist and lets Red smell it again and then he begins his work, sniffing the ground, trying to lead us to where Kyrah is.
"Kyrah!" I yell.
"Kyrah, where are you?" Vic yells and the rest join in as we move through the woods, slowly into the thickest parts.
Please be okay, Kyrah. God, please let her be safe, she means alot to me and I just want to see her alive.
I say a silent prayer and this gives me the motivation and I walk even faster as I feel my muscles tense.
I have to find you.

Kyrah's POV
My head is spinning.
I touch my thigh where there's a stinging pain. When I open my eyes, I'm in a dimly lit wood house and I'm on a bed. When I try to move, I realize that my feet are tied up. I decide to sit up and that's when someone opens the door.
A short, plump, old lady walks in and heads to the corner of the house where there's a black pot and it's contents are boiling.
"Where am I? Who are you and Why am I here?" I ask all three questions at the same time. The old lady, in her dark cloak and torn boots turns and smiles, revealing a set of not-so-pleasant teeth. A disgusting dark brown color is on all of her teeth. I cringe at that.
"Oh! Yippie! You're awake!" she says and tries to jump but her age doesn't allow her to jump too high.
"Urgh! My back is killing me. Scoot over, I'm gonna sit right next to yah, sweet little melon," she says in a raspy old tone.
"Who are you? Why am I tied up to this bed? I mean you no harm, just let me go." I try to release myself, which is impossible and she smiles again, and brushes her dirty fingers along my face and I gag.
"Oh, I mean you no harm too. My son brought you here and left. I'll be going too but you'll have some company in a few minutes," she says.
"Sorry, what are you talking about?" I ask.
"Don't you like visitors? I love visitors, it gets quite lonely out here, we don't get visitors that often. Oh, before I forget, I've made some soup for yah. Hope you like it." She winks her wrinkled eyelid at me then she takes off the hood of her cloak and reveals hair as white as snow. Her hands are all wrinkled and how she walks from the bed to the pot makes me guess she's probably eighty years.
She walks back to me with a bowl and a spoon and hands them to me.
"Smell it," she says and I move closer and smell the soup.
"Yuck! What is this? Are you trying to kill me?" I gag, the soup smells like smelly feet mixed with dead frogs and onions.
"You don't like my special soup? Well I guess that's it. I thought I had found a good daughter-in-law but you are definitely one of those city girls who spend most of their time on Sapchat."
"Snapchat," I correct her.
"Oh, lookie now you're correcting my grammar? Disrespectful young lady. I am leaving. Your company will arrive in a few," she says and sluggishly walks to me and pushes me on the bed. I sit back up but she hugs me. I can't resist the warm hug but little did I know her next move. She covers my mouth and nose with a cloth. Her and her son must have applied something on the cloths they've used to drug me.
"Nightie, night," she says.
"What are you..." everything gets blurry just like earlier and then dark.

"She's awake." A familiar voice says. She giggles and I open my eyes. When I try to sit up, this time round, my hands are tied up to the bed. I struggle to set myself free but nothing is happening. I'm only hurting myself.
"Jeez! Stop fighting, you'll only make things worse for your hands." She moves next to the bed and I notice who it is.
"What the hell is this, Sabrina? How did you find me?" My heart sinks when she laughs an evil laugh.
Her voice is so annoying, urgh!
"You thought I was done with you? Not yet. I followed you, I even know where you spent the night, down at the log cabin," she says and smiles.
"Let me go!" I yell. "Help! Somebody help!!!"
"Oh, honey. Please, just stop, no one can hear you. I also brought a friend to see you," she says and steps aside and a woman steps forth.
"Mrs. Dawson?" I question, this is unbelievable.
"Wow! It's funny that the rat knows me," she says.
"Everyone knows you, you're famous!" Sabrina responds.
They both laugh. What is Blake's mom doing here?
Mrs. Dawson sighs.
"Aah! Things you can do with money are alot. You could murder someone and cover it all up. I don't like you, you... What's her name again?"
"Kyrah," Sabrina chirps from behind the bed.
"Ah! Yes, Kyrah. Sabrina tells me you've been nothing but trouble to her and my son," she says.
"What are you talking about? She's the one that's been mean to me all this time." I can feel the tears stinging my eyes. Why is my thigh hurting this much, urgh!
"Mean? Oh darling, are you about to cry? Do you need some tissue, huh?" Sabrina asks.
At this moment I want to cry and bite their heads off at the same fucking time.
"Let me go!" I yell at them and they both laugh hysterically.
