Chapter 43
Kyrah's POV
Blake and I arrive at an elegant restaurant and we are welcomed warmly at the entrance. After we confirm our table, the receptionist shows us where it is and we thank her. I am in wedges and a knee-length pink floral dress with a brown clutch bag. I may be wearing a dress which has a bubbly color, but deep down I feel like crap today. I fake a smile when the waiter arrives at our table with the menu.
"Hello, this is our menu. I'll be back for your order in a few," he says in a deep French accent.
"Bring us two glasses of wine, please. When you get back," Blake says and the waiter nods firmly, turning on his heel to leave.
I start playing around with my nails absently until Blake brings me back from la-la land by touching my hands across the table.
"Has anyone wronged you? If it's me, just let me know. You look troubled, Kyrah," Blake says as he eyes me keenly.
"No, babe. It's not you, I am a little off mood today," I respond, pursing my lips and facing across the large room which has a couple of people seated on different tables. All the tables are neatly covered with white cloths and have shiny cutlery on them.
"I can always make you feel better, you know," Blake tells me and the grin that forms on his face makes me blush and my eyes narrow.
"Let me taste you before I taste anything else. You know you want me to-"
"Shh! Babe," I whisper, covering his mouth with my hand across the table "We're in public," I giggle.
"Follow me," he orders and I oblige.
"What about the wine?" I question and he waves his hand in the air aimlessly.
"That can wait." He stands up and grabs me by the arm and leads me to the reception.
"A room for two please," Blake says, looking at me with eyes that seem to say, 'Get ready to scream my name, woman!'
"Will you be staying the night or for how long exactly?" she asks and still Blake doesn't break our eye contact and replies to her.
"Just for a couple of hours, with my queen." And he smirks at me.
"Oh, okay," she says and hands me the keys, "Room number 37. Enjoy."
***
He slams the door behind me and presses me against the wall. His lips on mine and his hands exploring my entire body, teasing me and I moan.
I just love him so much. I was empty until he came into my life, opening me up, placing his secret inside of me. Making me his. I love him so much, damn it!
Tasting me softly, grazing his tongue along my lips. Pressing against me firmly, his fingers seal my fate, just like a letter waiting to be mailed, his touch takes me to Heaven and back.
"Babe!" I moan but he ignores me and his hands rush to undress me. He then carries me to the bed and gently places me on top of it. I too feel the urge to take his clothes off and so I don't waste my time. In a few seconds we're both in our birthday suits. His skin feels hot against mine and this turns on the fucking fire in me.
When we're just about to move to the next level of high pleasure, my phone rings. However, Blake doesn't stop, he goes ahead and has his way in. Faster and harder until I close my eyes shut and grab his neck. If there's a person in the next room, they're probably wondering if someone's dying in here because all I am doing is screaming and panting as Blake flips me over to switch positions.
My phone keeps ringing continuously, inside my clutch bag and I choose to ignore. Whoever it is can wait.
Moments later, we're both lying on the bed, breathless. Blake gets up and goes to grab my bag. He then hands it to me.
"Your phone was ringing," he says. He lays next to me and closes his eyes while I fish out my phone. My heart sinks to the bottom of my stomach when I see Roxy's name and then Scott's. There are so many missed calls and unread text messages. Before I can figure out what to do, my mom's call startles me and I cover myself with the sheets as if she's watching me.
"Mom?" I say once I press the phone to my ear.
"Honey, where are you? I've been worried sick about you. Roxy has also been trying to reach you but you didn't pick up. Something is wrong." She sounds worried and instantly my throat goes dry followed by my heart beating extremely fast.
"Mom, I'm really sorry, I've been busy. What happened?" I ask as I sit upright against the headboard.
"Roxy has informed me that she's headed to see her mother. Things are bad. Really bad, honey. Where are you right now?" she asks.
"Don't worry, I'm on my way. I'll meet you there," I reply and hang up immediately. Suddenly my hands begin to tremble and I feel as if all the blood in me has just been drawn out of my body. My lower lip is trembling too. Then Maeve's words from earlier today ring in my head very loudly.
"When it hits you, it's gonna hit hard. Harder than a wrecking ball!"
A wave of tears hits me at that moment and I start sobbing. How could I be so selfish? I should have answered when they called. I should have called Roxy back the other day. I should have never left her alone. Here I am, next to a multi millionaire's son, enjoying every second yet my best friend is at the edge of the cliff, hanging on with a finger, if she let's go, then that will be the end of everything. Once that first tear breaks free, the rest follow in an unbroken stream. Like water running from a faucet.
"Hey, hey what's wrong? Why are you crying?" Blake cups my face and kisses me on the forehead. I can't tell him the truth. That he's the one who has me blinded to the point of forgetting other people exist. That he's the reason why my friends barely look me in the eye lately.
"I need you to drive me to the State Women's Prison, right now!" I say.
He is baffled by my words and shakes his head.
"Wait what? What happened?"
Without responding, I hastily get up from the bed and grab my clothes which are scattered from one corner of the room to the other. He follows suit, without asking anything else as he pulls his boxers and trousers on. In seconds we dash out of the restaurant and on our way to the prison, my palms turn sweaty and I can feel a huge lump in my throat. This is it. This is the reason why I've been feeling crappy since I woke up today. I don't even want to imagine what's going on at the prison.
"Speed up!" I yell at Blake and like a child, he obeys and does as I have told him.
