Chapter 30
I walk out fast and hasten my steps to catch up with him. That's when he locks his car with a press of a button on his car keys.
"Hey, I uhm... Won't ride with you back home, I guess I'll continue staying at my hostel now. You might as well go back to your apartment, if you wish," I say and he doesn't even look at me or blink at all when he speaks.
"Cool," he says.
I hate one word replies.
Before I can find anything else to say, Blake comes from another hallway and spots us.
"Baby. I missed you," he hugs me warmly and kisses my forehead and my body goes tingly. Scott walks away without a word. One large stride after the other. Is he livid?
What's with him today?
"I missed you too and, I decided I'll come to your party," I tell Blake and he grins widely.
"Awesome, baby." He holds my hand and I grin like an idiot when I spot Sabrina glaring at us sharply. I know she can't dare start a fight after what happened last time.
In class, I sit next to Maeve. I can sense the squad is uncomfy since Blake is seated next to me on my left. He usually sits at the front.
Thirty minutes later, Sabrina walks in and the professor huffs.
"Miss Johnson, last week you came in late for my class and here you are again, walking in like you own the entire campus. A little respect will go a long way," the professor says.
Sabrina rolls her eyes and adjusts her boobs. She then smirks at him and continues chewing her gum and takes a seat. Blowing a large bubble that pops loudly, distracting the entire room of students.
"Carry on, sir," she tells him and he shakes his head.
That was so rude of her.
The entire lecture Sabrina is seated facing Blake and I and it really bugs me.
She looks away when Blake notices her glaring at us.
Phew!

Friday.
The day when I get to attend yet another party hosted by my boyfriend, Blake. I didn't tell Scott about it, Roxy said she's going to the hospital, and I don't know why.
The entire squad happens to be busy and apart from Scott of course, who knows nothing about this party. After getting myself ready, I step outside my hostel and pull out my phone to dial for an uber and someone calls my name.
"Greetings Kyrah, master Blake sent me to get you." A middle aged man in a black suit is standing outside my hostel and behind him is a black car. My eyes narrow at him. One of it's windows rolls down and I notice Carla.
I will never stop asking myself this: how many cars does Blake own?
The chauffeur opens the door for me and I sit at the back with Carla. In a few seconds, we are on the road.
"Hey Carla," I say, "How have you been?"
"I have been good, Kyrah. Mr. Dawson awaits, people have already started arriving. He is throwing this party for you dear. And how have you been?" she questions, a small smile forming on her face.
Wait... He's throwing an entire party for me? ME?! I must say, I am beyond honored.
"Er, fine... Just fine," I reply.
She pulls a bottle of champagne from a tiny grey, ice bucket and holds it up.
"Champagne?"
"No, thank you. I'm not drinking tonight," I respectfully decline her offer.
She frowns and nods, putting the bottle back.
In a few minutes we arrive at Blake's house and the chauffeur opens my door and drives off once Carla steps out too.
"Enjoy the party," she says, smiling and walking away into the house.
The front door is open but there's no one in and I wonder if there really is anybody around. I head to the backyard and open the door to walk out and-
"Surprise!!" So many people shout at once, Blake being one of them. I giggle and run into his arms.
He is in some black swim shorts and black shades on his head, his hair is well pushed back. I didn't bother to dress for the occasion since I still don't want to expose my chest to cold.
I look around and just like last time when I was here, there's the three B's. Booze, Babes and Boys.
People are already in the swimming pool and others are busy either smoking or drinking away.
No music is playing yet. Were they really waiting for me?
Blake then holds my hand and leads me to the end of the yard where the drinks are, on a table.
He raises his red party cup in the air. It's contents, I am unaware of.
"She's finally here guys, a toast to my new girlfriend," he shouts.
And the crowd goes wild, cheering my name.
Kyrah! Kyrah! Kyrah!
I stand there amazed. Holding on to Blakes hand, with a huge grin, trying to say thank you but no one can here me since they're all shouting my name.
"The party has now officially began," Blake announces.
The crowd cheers again.
"Let the music take control of your souls, my fellow party animals!" he yells and points straight ahead of the pool where large curtains pull away revealing a band.
I am in full shock!
"This is how we do it!" The lead singer in black shorts, fish net leggings and a black bra starts singing and the men in the crowd join in with:
"This is how we do it! This is how we do it!" and the drummer, guitarist and the rest of the band continue jamming on to this old school song sang by Montell Jordan.
