Chapter 6
My head hurts. I didn't drink that much last night, just two cups or was it one? of that bitter unknown drink. Or maybe three. I can't recall. All I know is that I wasn't too drunk and alot happened yesterday. Too much actually.
I open my eyes and notice the familiar walls.
How many times am I going to find myself waking up in his bed? I face palm myself.
Scott must have brought me here, I just don't remember how I even got here in the first place. The last thing I remember is him placing me at the back of a car and everything faded away. That drink must have been a really strong one.
Quickly, I rush out of the room and stop at the living room. Everyone is there, except Maeve and Jim.
Roxy is on one couch, Tyler on the other one and Scott is on the floor. They're asleep so I turn to go back to Scott's bedroom.
Scott clears his throat and I look back and find him standing, looking at me. I don't know what to say.
"Come here," he says in a sleepy voice. I move across the room to where he is and he hugs me tightly. His chin lying on top of my head. I guess I need a hug so bad right now.
"Are you okay? Did she hurt you?" he slightly pushes me back, his hands moving from my shoulders to my face. He studies my eyes. I can't seem to find any words to say.
"Kyrah, please say something," he begs and a tear falls down my face. He wipes it off with his thumb and raises my chin so that I can no longer avoid his eye contact.
Why am I even crying in front of Scott. This is embarrassing.
"I'm really sorry Scott..." my voice breaks and a wave of silence passes and I continue,"... Yesterday I... I didn't mean to start a fight and I..."
"You didn't start the fight. Roxy told me everything as I was driving here. You slept or blacked out I guess,"
"How did you get there?" I ask him.
"I felt guilty letting you go there and I don't trust Blake at all, so I told Roxy to text me the address," he informs me.
"I don't know what got into me last night," I say as I wince.
"Sabrina pushed the wrong button," a small smile forms on his face and I giggle.
"WWE," we say in unison and my eyes bulge in surprise. He hugs me warmly.
Tyler wakes up. He looks drained and nauseous.
"Where am I?" he asks, rubbing his temples.
"You're at my place. Feel free to walk out anytime," Scott grins.
"Cool place. I have to get back to school though, how do I get there from here?"
"Oh, it's just a short walk, once you get to the parking lot downstairs, walk to your left and go straight, you'll be in school in a few minutes," I say and he nods.
Scott hands him a glass of water and painkillers. I decline when he gives me some since I don't like medicine.
Once Tyler is out, I sit on the couch and Scott sits next to me, his arm around my shoulder.
"I am glad I came in on time, Sabrina could have done the unthinkable," he says.
"Thanks. I owe you my life," I smile.
"I gave Roxy some clothes to change in since all of hers were wet, I could give you others too," he suggests and my eyes turn to Roxy, she's in a large sweatshirt and shorts. I pause to giggle then I look down at myself.
Crap! I am still in that short dress. I take a look at the dress on me and it looks okay. Thank God.
"Yeah, I wouldn't mind."
"Alright then. But I am sure the pants won't fit, if they didn't fit Roxy then they definitely won't fit you," he says.
"Roxy is a bit slender than I am. Just get me the clothes. I don't mind the size," I tell him.
He goes and comes back with matching sweatpants and a sweatshirt, black in colour. I try them on and they actually fit, not completely but one can tell the pants are a little loose on my waist. The sweatshirt is huge but I don't complain. I wouldn't even dare complain since I spent the entire night in a dress that clung on to my body like second skin.
"You better text Maeve to get you clothes," Scott suggests and I nod. Then Roxy groans on the couch.
"I think I left my keys in your room, Kyrah," Roxy mumbles, still not moving an inch on the couch. With her eyes closed.
"Tell Maeve to get me some clothes too," and she continues sleeping.
Immediately I text Maeve and give her directions on how to find us and in less than an hour she arrives with our clothes.
Scott opens the door for her and as she comes in, she stares at me and then looks at Roxy on the couch.
"What happened?" she screams.
"Shit happened," Roxy mumbles.
Roxy turns on the couch and sits upright. Yawning loudly while rubbing her eyes.
"I'll tell you everything. Just get me some painkillers please. I feel like my head just got hit by a wrecking ball or something," she groans.
I give her the painkillers that were meant to be mine and a glass of water. In two seconds she takes the pills, clears her throat and begins speaking.
"That demon Sabrina showed up at Blakes party last night..."
She goes on and on about how I smashed Sabrina's head on the ground and I look away from them, not believing what I am hearing right now. That wasn't me at all. Something took over me. Alcohol.
"Maeve, that cat fight was epiiiiic! You should have seen Kyrah beating the hell out of Sabrina. Damn! I will never, ever forget it," Roxy chuckles.
Maeve looks shocked. She has never heard of any case of brutality from me. I am always that sweet, nice and calm roommate.
"Whoa! You actually did that?" Maeve asks and I shrug.
"Okay. Seems like you guys had one crazy night. I got your clothes, toothbrushes and towels, I figured you'd want to take a shower here before you leave," she says, handing us our belongings.
"Thank you Maeve, you're a life saver," I grab my clothes and a towel and head to the shower.
In there, I stand in the middle of the bathroom as the warm water pours down on me. Last night's events flashing in my mind.
Roxy falling into the pool, me taking that stupid drink, Sabrina yelling at me, Tyler tripping and falling, Blake asking to take me back to my hostel and Scott appearing out of nowhere.
It doesn't make any sense at all. It happened so fast.
"Yoh! Are you going to sleep in there?" Roxy's voice brings me back to reality.
How long have I been standing here?
"Just a minute, I'm washing my hair," I yell back.
I hurry up and wash off all of last nights smell and memories. I watch as the water goes down the drain and I step out with a towel around my body and my hair tied into a wet bun.
I change into my clothes and grab another towel to try and dry my hair.
