Chapter 180

I step out of the car and stand right next to the open door.
"What are you two doing with Kyrah's car, huh? Did you steal it? Where is Kyrah? Where is she?!" he barks. He looks all pale and furious right now.
"What do you mean? It's our car," I state.
"It's not your car! I know that number plate offhead. Now tell me why the hell you have Kyrah's car!" he moves too close to Tim and my brother grits his teeth and his fists ball at his sides.
"What's your problem buddy? She sold it to us, and there's nothing you can do about it, dipshit. Now move your damn car out of the fucking way assho–" before he finishes his words, Blake's fist rams into his eye. Blake pushes Tim to the ground and they begin fighting.
I hate fights. I've never been in one but for my brother, I'll do anything.
In two long strides I get to Blake and roughly push him off my brother and punch his face with all the strength in me and he passes out in nanoseconds.
Shit!
"Get up, Tim." I help my brother up, and I help him into our car. His nose is bleeding and a dark circle is forming on his left eye. I rush past a passed out Blake and get into his car, he'd left the engine still running, and I drive it out of the way then head back and drive away with my brother. Leaving Blake lying at the parking lot like a lifeless lizard as people began crowding around him.
"You knocked him out," Tim says as I hand him some tissues for his bloody nose.
"He better not mess with me or my brother again."
"What if he reports us to the police?" Tim asks.
"Don't worry, he won't do anything like that. Plus, he's the one who started it anyway. Let's go save Kyrah's life," I say.

At the hospital, we find almost everyone we know anxiously waiting for us to arrive and Kye's sister, takes Tim to donate his blood.
Roxy looks devastated. Heck! Everybody is!
I sit right next to Roxy and hug her.
"What exactly happened?" I ask.
"We all have no idea. They just keep feeding us stories that don't make sense," Roxy snaps.
"Kyrah was with Scott the whole of yesterday and when she was brought in by an ambulance, she was alone. Not with Scott. Scott had told me he'd be hanging out with her, I don't think he left her and went somewhere. Yesterday was solely meant to be Kyrah's special day. I don't get it," Vic brushes his hands over his face and pinches the bridge of his nose.
"Let's just hope they'll find him. Have you tried calling him?" I ask.
"His phone is off," Maeve says, her voice shaky from crying.
Minutes later, Wren runs in. Panic clearly written all over her face.
"Oh my–" she runs into Vic's arms, "What happened? How is she doing?"
Everyone else is tired of explaining it over and over again, because saying it over and over makes it even more painful, so I choose to explain to Wren everything that I was told.
After Tim has donated his blood, Lilly informs us that the transfusion is already taking place.
"Guys, I'm going to pick up Mr. and Mrs. Bailey at the airport. Please let me know if anything comes up," says Mr. Trent as he leaves. My heart is beating at a very high speed and I can't seem to control my heavy breathing. I'm just... in shock. Kyrah was fine the other day but look at what happened now. I'm still finding it hard to digest. I hope she'll be okay as soon as she wakes up. If, she wakes up.
I swallow dryly at the thought.
A wave of sadness washes over me as I look at everyone around me. They're all sad. Wren is shedding tears against Vic's chest, Johnny is holding a very fragile Maeve into his arms, Tim is embracing Roxy, trying to comfort her, no one's even noticed his black eye.
There's only one person who's not here.
I dial Tyler's number thrice but he doesn't pick up.
"Guys, Tyler's not picking up," I say as I stand from my seat. Where could he be right now? What's he doing? I honestly hate it whenever there's something urgent, but when I call someone, they don't answer my calls. I blow air out of my mouth as I rub the back of my neck.
"He's probably passed out on his couch after a long night out, you know how he is. We've called him countless times already. Just leave him a message," Roxy says and sighs heavily. I do as she's told me and walk to them and hug them all.
At this moment, we have to stick together and be strong for Kyrah. Meanwhile, we have to wait for her surgery to be done.
A different nurse walks to us and asks us to fill in Kyrah's details. Roxy quietly follows her. I've never seen her this shattered before. In fact, I've never seen her cry before until today.
I just hope Kyrah will be okay, and that nothing worse happened to Scott.
"This is a nightmare," I say more to myself than to no one in particular.
