Chapter 172
As we walk further from the truck, a lady passes by and I spot her ogling at Scott's abs and without any warning I stop, grab Scott's hand and he halts, then I pull his shirt to the middle of his chest and begin to button it down. As I glare at the lady and she gives me a dramatic eye roll. When she's far gone, I look up at Scott and he's grinning at me.
"Seems like someone doesn't want any competition, huh?" he asks.
"Excuse me? She was staring at you way too much. That was inappropriate. Her eyes nearly fell off her face and I swear I saw her drooling for a second there," I say as I cross my hands in front of my chest and Scott let's out a warm laughter and I chuckle.
"Don't you want them to look at my chest?" he lifts an eyebrow. He's been all flirty lately. Sometimes I'm not even sure if he's joking or serious.
"No!" I say and change the topic. "Where'd you get that truck anyway?"
"It's my dad's. It barely leaves the garage though. I thought I'd take it for a ride," he says, raking his fingers through his hair. Damn!
I've always known there's a car inside Scott's garage, but it was always covered up, so I never knew what make it was.
I shrug and we head out to grab some ice-cream. I've become addicted to blueberry ice-cream these days.
"So... What's the occasion?" I ask after I'm done with my ice-cream. Scott smiles and shakes his head.
"You'll see," he says and his gunmetal blue eyes stare back at me. I look away very fast.
"You seem tense today? Is everything okay?" he says as we walk back to the beach. "Am I making you uncomfortable?" he stops and places his hands on my shoulders and I sigh heavily. I take off my shoes and leave them beside me.
"Nothing is wrong, okay? I'm just glad to be spending time with you." I continue walking and he follows suit. "Last one in the water is a rotten tomato!" I yell and dash off across the sandy soil.
"Hey! That's not fair!" Scott yells. I look back and he's already running towards the water without his shoes. My feet touch the water first and I stand there like the queen of the ocean.
"Rotten tomato, you're finally here," I tease and he rolls his eyes at me. "Don't you roll your eyes at me." I point at him.
"You sound like your mom," he chuckles and I snort.
"Wanna swim?" he asks and purses his lips.
"Cool, I'll just get into something comfortable for swimming," I say as I walk out of the water and head back to where our shoes are and begin taking off my flannel shirt. Luckily, underneath my outfit of the day, I'm wearing a black strapless one-piece swimsuit that I had got from my house before I actually came to the beach. For some reason I don't know, I felt like I should atleast wear a swimsuit underneath my clothes today. I told the uber guy to drive me to my house and I wore it quickly and left.

Scott's POV
I quietly watch as she takes off her clothes and I can feel an uneasy feeling in my stomach. She's beautiful today. Heck, she's always beautiful every day! She's in a black one-piece swimsuit that doesn't have straps. It's clinging on to her body like a second skin. Her beautiful thighs look so smooth to touch. The way the swimsuit is holding her bosom makes me want to kiss her, worship her even. Her dark, curly, silky hair is being blown around by the wind and it makes her look like a supermodel pausing for a fashion magazine.
God! She's beautiful. It's like God took the eight day to create her alone.
She looks happy and I am overly excited about that. Because she said that I make her happy. I grin despite myself.
"What?" she asks, raking her fingers through her hair and I fight the urge to grab her.
Take it slow, bro.
"Nothing," I say as I take off my shirt and throw it next to her pile of clothes. She walks past me and heads to the water and I stand there, observing how her hips sway from left to right. She looks HOT! Black makes her look hot. I hurry and rush to join her in the water.
She shyly looks down into the cool water.
"I forgot, I don't know how to swim. Oops!" she chuckles quietly.
"Count yourself lucky because, I'm right here." I grin at her. I flashback to when she buttoned my shirt and I chuckle. "You look amazing."
With her eyes glued to mine, I see color making it's way up her face. She's been blushing alot lately whenever I'm around her. Is that a sign or...
"Thanks," she says, licking her lips and I swallow dryly as I watch her do that. The sounds of the waves and seagulls make it all feel so amazing to be here.
We spend lots of hours at the beach having fun, talking about so many things. I just love listening to her talk. I can stay up all night just to listen to her. Her voice is quite seductive.
We stopped our swimming practice at around 1pm went for lunch and resumed at 3pm then stopped again at 5pm. We sat underneath the sun to dry up and watch as it sets. When it starts getting dark, I notice that she's shivering.
Now all dried up, we grab our clothes, put them on and I do something that I have been doubting so much. I walk ahead of her and stretch my hand out for her, I wait and wait. Just to feel her hand in mine and when I'm about to drop it, her hand holds mine and the feeling that washes over me is one of pure happiness. My heart skips a beat a little as we walk back to the truck.
"I have a little surprise for you," I say when I notice she's too quiet. She nods. "Close your eyes," I tell her and she does so, then I guide her to the back of the truck and open the tailgate, pull off the large sheet that's been covering my secret all day.
"Don't open your eyes yet," I say as I try to see if everything is in place. "Okay, now, open your eyes." When she does, she gasps. It's not that dark so she can see everything. She places a hand on her chest in awe.
"It's... Oh, it's so beautiful. Oh, Scott, all this time you had this at the back of the truck? Wow! I love it!" she grins.
"Anything for you," I say as I grab a blanket from the passenger seat and place it on her shoulders and she covers up. I stand behind her and rub her shoulders to make her warmer.
She takes a moment to look at what is in front of her and she says, "Now this, is what I call creativity."
Her words make me mentally yell a huge Yes!
