Chapter 98
She takes off her sunglasses and clears her throat.
"What? Going shopping with Sabrina? oh that's just–"
"Cut the bullcrap!" I snap and her mouth gets stuck in an 'O' position when she gasps.
"How dare you talk to me like that! I'm your mother–"
"Who has never been around to teach her son some manners." I clap thrice, mockingly. "Good job."
She stands up and sniffles.
"You don't get to talk to your mother like that in this house! Do hear me?" she yells at me, poking my chest.
"Hm!" I shake my head. "I know what you and Sabrina were up to that night. You tried to kill Kyrah," I say through gritted teeth while pointing a finger directly to her face.
"Bollocks! I have no idea what you are talking about." She's avoiding eye contact and her lower lip is trembling. She hurries and takes a sip of her champagne.
"She told me herself, today," I say and impatiently wait for her to respond. Which she does by laughing hysterically.
Wow! I never knew my own mother could be so ruthless.
"Oh, I thought that little rodent died in the fire. Such a cheap naïve little girl she is." She continues laughing. Out of breath, she supports herself by holding onto my shoulder while laughing, her flute still in one of her hands. "What sort of angels are looking after her? It's like she has nine lives like a cat!" she continues laughing and it pisses me off. My jaw tightens and my fists do the same at my sides.
"This is not funny! You could have killed her, for crying out loud! You're a monster!" I yell at her, my chest rising and falling rapidly.
"Spare me the drama, Blake. It was just a little fire–"
"An entire house was burning and you call that a little fire? Mom! What has gotten into you? Why are you allowing Sabrina to brainwash you like a teenager? She's not even your age–"
"I will not have to remind you what you did!" she snaps. "So shut your mouth and find something else to do. Because that little rodent won't do anything. She doesn't have the power and you know that."
"I do. I have the power," I counter and she chuckles and presents her arms straight in front of me, still holding her stupid drink.
"Call the police to cuff me up then." She smiles. She knows I can't do that and that she's won this argument.
"What's going on here?" I hear my dad ask from behind me. I haven't seen this man for months! I don't even know what to say to him.
He's holding a glass of vodka and his sleeves are folded just like mine. His shirt is cream in color with the first two buttons undone and his dress pants are navy blue, and a pair of black designer shoes.
"We were just having a conversation, honey," she says and moves to kiss him.
"How are you son? I haven't seen you in a while. How about some poker tonight at the Casino?" he asks.
"I'm fine and no, I'm not in the mood," I decline.
"Alright. I have a meeting which will require you to attend. Tomorrow at 8am–"
"Won't be in the mood either," I say cutting him off. I turn to stare at the swimming pool.
"Excuse his behavior, he's abit angry that we haven't been around... I better start making lunch for us," mom says and I snort.
"No thankyou, I prefer Carla's meals," I inform her and she's taken aback. Why is she even pretending to be shocked? She's never here so I hardly get to eat food she's prepared.
I turn on my heels and walk past both of them and head to the garage to get my car.

"How sweet of you for stopping by, I was thinking about you, you know," Sabrina chirps when she opens the door.
I drove all the way to their house after the heated argument with my mom and I found her watching TV. She doesn't seem like one to watch TV.
I walk past the doors and turn around two steps behind her. She closes the door and wears a sheepish smile. Slowly she moves towards me and cups my cheek.
"Don't touch me, you freak!" she releases my cheek immediately, astonished. "Why the hell did you and my mother try to kill Kyrah? Huh? Why? I told you to fucking stay away from her!"
"But she won't stay away from you," she counters and she forces a smile.
"The only person that should stay away from me and Kyrah, is you! You're such a psycho, do you know that? You're thick in the head and you're a pathetic bitch with low class attitude!" I snap.
My words leave her mouth agape.
"Stop acting like you're surprised. I'm not buying that. Whatever you did was way out of order and that's proof that you're crazy! Psycho!" I bark and she jumps at my last word. I'm so bitter that I swear I can feel invisible smoke leaving my ears.
"Jeez! Calm down, this anger of yours is not good for you at all. You should see a shrink," she says, with an attitude of a teenager that just got laid for the first time.
I shut my eyes tightly and pinch the brim of my nose.
"Are you fucking kidding me right now? So, I'm the one who should see a shrink, huh?"
"You need to," she says.
"Bloody hell! Sabrina, you're the one who's been following Kyrah around, trying to end her life. You're the one who should see a shrink, you imbecile!" I insult her.
She begins laughing instead.
Urgh! Her laughter is so annoying, it could break all the windows into tiny pieces.
"Come on, Blake. Relax... It's just you and me here, how about we just chill and watch TV, huh?" she throws her hands around my neck.
"I have had it with you." I groan and push her until her back hits the door with a loud thud. My hands are on her neck and I choke her. I want to choke the life out of her. She struggles to escape my mighty grip but fails.
She can't breathe and this makes me feel even better. When she finally stops struggling, I let her go.
"That's how she felt when she couldn't breathe, being choked by smoke," I tell her.
"I'll tell your mom–" she warns but that's just total rubbish. She then coughs.
"Bitch, please! Both of you won't do shit to me," I state the obvious.
"And I know you won't do shit to me either. So get out of my house! Right now," she says holding her neck.
"You're such an asshole!" I bark.
"So are you. Birds of a feather..." she chuckles with a crazy look in her eyes.
Oh my God! She's so annoying! How in the world does someone this annoying still exist? I should have just choked her to death.
I close my eyes ready to punch her in the face, but I can't. I'd ruin our parents friendship again and my dad would kill me if I did.
"Fucking bitch!" I hiss and push her out of my way, then forcefully open the door and slam it behind me.
Unbelievable!
