Chapter 105

Luther

I can’t believe Ryan had to put his mom in a cell. And the things that woman said. What a power hungry bitch. I have never been so grateful for the mom I have. Lexi stayed close to Ryan and Kent after what we heard. She kept her caalming glow around then as much as possible. I know Lexi was hurting with them. She could feel their pain. I could feel some of Ryan’s but I know he was trying to keep it to himself.


When it was time to head back for Lexi to go to school Ryan stayed at his pack to handle some things there. I decided to escort Lexi to school on Monday. I could tell she was having a hard time being away from Ryan so I stuck close. We were walking through the courtyard when Lexi suddenly stops. Tyler, Melissa, Dean and I go on alert. Lexi sniffs around and turns her head towards the English building. But I follow her and see she isn’t looking at the building but past it. Lexi motions her head for us to follow her as she heads toward it.

Lexi doesn’t go in but to the side of the building. She gets about half way down she stops still looking at the back of ther building towards the woods. “ I explain later.” Lexi whispers so low I almost missed it. Then I catch the smell. The only way to describe it is moldy. We all nod and Lexi do whatever she is going to do. “ I know you are out there. I can smell you. I know you work for Valerose. I also know you won’t attack me. I want you to give Valerose a message for me. Tell him there doesn’t have to be a war. We could come to a peaceful arrangement. But if it a war he wants tell Valerose we will be ready. And I won’t stop until he is destroyed and everyone he has enslaved is free.” Lexi said to the trees.

We hear nothing but silence for a minute and for second I think might be wrong. Just a second. “ You are big talk for someone so small.” we hear a voice say. We all turn to the voice. Everyone but Lexi in defense mode. I watch Lexi’s hands glow bright red and orange like they were on fire. Lexi drew her arms back and pushed them forward send a streak through the trees. Suddenly we hear a scream then nothing. I hear some shuffling but that is it.

“ Now that I have made myself clear make sure Valerose gets the message. He obviously knows where to find me.” Lexi said. “ I’ll make sure he gets it.” a different voice says. With that Lexi motions for us to leave. When we get to the front of the building Lexi says “ Let’s go to the cafe. I explain.” So we all follow her. I know we are wondering what is going on with Lexi. I also know she won’t tell us anything until she is ready. We get to the cafe and I have Lexi take a seat with Dean while the rest of us go grab coffees for all of us.

After five minutes because the place was packed I had coffee for Lexi and me. Melissa was carrying Dean’s coffee for me. Once we were all sitting I ask “ Baby, what was that?” Lexi takes a sip of her french vanilla cappuccino she loves so much and leans back in her chair. “ Honestly, I’m not sure. Arya went on full alert when we caught that scent again. Then I snapped. Everything that has been going on lately came to a boiling point. So I followed the scent.” Lexi explained. “ When we got to the building I wasn’t sure what I was going to do. I just knew I was pissed. Arya too, off Valerose’s goons around the school all the time. I wasn’t scared. I knew they weren’t going to do anything or they would have by now.” Lexi said.

I could feel her frustration no that I blame her. Ever since Lexi was told who she is she has worked her ass off to train mentally, physically and her powers. And for what? To be stalked by vampire goons. At least until a war breaks out. Not counting trying to help deal with two packs and all the bullshit that comes with it. Everyone has their breaking point and Lexi just found hers. “ I said my peace. Now it is up to them. Hell, I didn’t even kill the vampire I hit. He is just stunned. I’m sorry for dragging you guys along but I feel like I did the right thing. I’m tired of wondering when Valerous is going to strike next. And I wanted him to know we aren’t afraid of him. He holds no power over us and we will win if he wants a war.”

“ You don’t need to be sorry, baby. I just your judgement.” I said as I wrapped my arm around her shoulder. “ We have your back.” Dean said. Lexi looks at all of us. “ I know and I thank you.” she said. Lexi takes another sip of her coffee. I can tell she is deep in thought. “ I have an idea. Well, Arya and I do. We have been sitting around waiting for Valerose to make his move. I know everyone has been on edge because of it. The not knowing.” she said. We all nod because she is right. “ What if we quit waiting? What if we take the fight to him?” Lexi asked.

“ What do you mean? We don’t even know where he is.” Dean said. Lexi signs “ I know Dean. I haven’t thought it all through. I figure he will get my message and want to meet up with me. I want to try and talk to him and see if we can’t come to some sort of peaceful solution but I’m not holding my breath. He wants a war. So I think we might be able to lure him to where we want. Away from the packs.” she said. “ It isn’t a bad idea but it will defiantly need some more talking out,” I said.

“ Oh no. I’m not saying we go off half cocked. We talk with the other Alpha’s. We make a plan and back-up plan. We train harder than we ever have. We find a safe location away from humans. We make sure all the kids,elderly,pregnant and anyone who can’t fight to secure area that is heavily guarded.” Lexi said. “ We train anyone and everyone who is of age and wants to fight.” she continued. Dean looks deep in thought. So does Melissa.

“ I just want to be done with this. I want to be abloe to move on. For all of us. I want to spend time with my mates by building a strong pack. Enjoying our time together. Graduate school. Have pups maybe. I don’t want this evil shadow hanging over us all the time. I know all of have to feel the same way no matter how much we tried to hide it.” Lexi said. “ You are right Lexi. I’m scared to make plans too far in the future because of this.” Melissa said.

“ Lexi, do have the contact information for all the Alpha’s you met?” Tyler asks. “ I do.” she said. “ Talk it over with Ryan and Luther before you do anything but I think you are right. After you talk with them contact the Alpha’s and set up a conference call. Lay out your thoughts and see what they have to say. Then go from there.” Tyler said. The more I think about everything said the more I agree. We can’t move on and make plans for the future without ending this with Valerose.


I don't want to bring any future pups into this world where we have to worry if the crazy Vampire will try to hurt them. None of want to do that. We need to be at peace. And that can't happen with Valerose around. Lexi is right we need to end this one way or another. I will back Lexi on this when we talk to Ryan. " He will agree with you and Lexi on this." Diesel said. " I know Stone does." he continues. I still don't fully understand how our wolves can talk to each other without us noticing. I forgot to ask Lexi about it because of the shit with Ryan's mom. " We want our pups safe." Deisel said. I'm glad my wolf and me are on the same page. We usually are but there have been a few occasions where we have dis agreed. Luckily never on something important.

When I take over for my dad I want to do it without a war hanging over our heads. I want my parents to be able to enjoy their reitement. I want us to be able to have celebrations like Lexi's Luna ceremony without wondering if we are going to be attacked. Or if Valerose has found out where Lexi is other than school. That is the only place we have smelt vampires, so far. I want to have a wedding ceremony since she has lived in the human world for so long to show all the packs my devotion to her. I don't want Lexi to be worried about any more wolves like Vinny being created again.

We hope to release them into the wild soon but Lexi won't do that as long as Valerose is a threat. She will constantly worry about them. She has already putting a GPS tracking chip in them so she keep an eye on them.

Personally I don't think that is going to be an issue. Lexi has a deep bond with those wolves. When we relase those wolves I don't think they are going to go very far. And I believe they will come back from time to time just to visit Lexi. I know Arya wants to go for a run with them soon. She just wants to play with them. Arya squeals every time we go out to feed them. Yes, the wolf squeals. I think it is going to be a sight to watch. The vet has told us that when Arya comes out to play with them there is a possibility they will see Arya as a surrogate mother since they are still so young. And like shifter wild wolves are pack animals. But that is a worry for another day. Lexi has classes to finish before we can go home and talk to Ryan. It is time to take Valerose down.
