Chapter 155

Luther

Val took the time to introduce us to all the vampires present. He could have just introduced Lexi but I saw he made a point to include Ryan and me. I do believe the guy is trying. If he succeeds only time will tell. You don’t just stop being an asshole that was wantinng to rule over all shifters. He has got some work ahead of him. Ryan and I will be watching for him to screw up. I don’t think Lexi will let Valerose fail.

After we got done with the vampires Lexi led us over to the wolves. Lexi kept Valerose close by holding his hand. The other hand was firmly in my grasp. Ryan had his hand on her back. All of her mates were touching her just the way she liked it. Lexi was attempting to talk to all the wolves present when Tyler, Jesse, Melissa and Billy came to us. The girls were giggling so I knew they were up to know good. My gut is telling me in the fun way. They bow to Lexi and us. “ My kings. We insist on stealing the queen for a few minutes.” Melissa giggled. Billy already had Lexi’s hand the I was holding. Lexi turns to us. “My loves, it appears my guardians need me.” she giggles.

She doesn’t give us a chance to answer. I should say Melissa and Billy didn’t because they were alreay dragging Lexi away towards the dance floor. Tyler and Jesse are following. Jesse yells over his shoulder “ Don’t worry we will take good care of her.” Valerose growls and starts to follow. Ryan and I grab him top stop him. Valerose turns to us and growls. I want to knock the fucker out for that shit. “ Easy, Valerose. Let Lexi have her fun.” Ryan said. I hear music start to play by the D.J. I know what is fixing to happen.

“ Come with us. You can watch Lexi. Trust me when I say this. You are going to want to watch.” I say as we lead him close to the dance floor. That is where we see all of Lexi’s gaurdians line dancing with her. I know the moment Valerose locks eyes on Lexi. It is the same time Ryan and I do. “ No would be a good time to have a little chat with him, don’t you think?” Ryan linked me. “ Yes, but let him enjoy the show for a few mintues first.” I linked back. Ryan just chuckled. I see several people have joined Lexi including Patsy and several pups.

“ What are they doing?” Valerose asked. “ It is called line dancing. Lexi loves it.” I answered. “ To be honest Lexi loves dancing in general. This just happens to one of her favorites.” Ryan said. “ Is she always with so many men?” Valerose asks with a growl. A growl I’m guessing Lexi heard because she turned her head and winked at us before shaking her ass at us. I laughed at her. Ryan shook his head. Valerose growled but this one was different. More a growl of lust. Not that I blame him. Ryan and I have growled at her in the same way. Many times. I know we will continue to do so in the future. Something I look forward to. “ Remember what we said about trusting Lexi. Yes, she is ususally surrounded by males. Serveral men are her gaurdians. Her instructors, warriors other pack Alpha’s, fellow classmates. You will have to get used to it. Lexi is also very affectionate. She hugs everyone. You can growl but don’t try to stop it.” I told him.

“ Why shouldn’t I stop males from touching my mate? Our mate. Why aren’t you for that matter?” Valerose asked. Ryan turn from watching Lexi dance. Giving his full attention to Valerose. Me, I’m watching both. “ Do we like other males touching Lexi? Fuck no. But we don’t stop it for one reason. Lexi. By stopping her from hugging the males or even interacting with them we are forcing her to stop being who she is. A part of her anyway. You need to keep this in the back of your mind. She is our mate. Lexi knows that. She would never betray the bond. Once you are fully bonded you will trust her more because you will feel everything she feels.” Ryan said.

“ Valerose, we are giving you some leeway since you are new at this. We have been with Lexi for months. We have time to bond and get to know her. You are just starting out. You have a lot to learn about her.” I said. I noticed the song had ended and turned to a slow one. Ryan motions his head before he takes off to the dance floor before Lexi can move. Valerose and I watch as Ryan playfully bows to Lexi before holding out his hand to her asking her to dance. Lexi being well Lexi giggles aas she bows back. We hear her say “ Why kind sir, I would be honored.”

Ryan takes her hand and places his other on the small of her back pulling her close to him. Out of the corner of my eye I see Valerose smile watching them. Ryan links me “ Finish talking to him while I keep Lexi occupied.” “ Keep her smiling man.” I link back. I turn to the side so I can talk to Valerose and still watch Lexi and Ryan. Not that I have anything to worry about. With so many people around I have so no worries about Lexi’s safety. “ Valerose, I’m going to get the warning out of the way. Lexi has had enough pain in her life. She doesn’t need anymore. Ryan and I won’t allow it. If you so much as make her cry tears of saddness Ryan and I will end you. Nothing will stop us.” I told him.

Valerose still hasn’t taking his eyes off Lexi who is looking up at Ryan with so much pure love I’m sure everyone can feel it. Hell, a blind man can see it. Neither are paying attention to anyone else. They are in thier own world. I know because I have been on the recieving end of that look myself. Everything else fades away but Lexi. Valerose nods “ I understand. As her other mates I would expect nothing less.” I’m glad he understands. Now I can explain the rest of mine and Ryan’s plan. “ Ryan and I have had time to discuss this. It’s important for you to mark Lexi as soon as possible. Tonight would be best.” I say. That has Valerose’s attention. He turns to look at me. It dawns on me he may not know what marking is.

“ Do you know what that means?” I asked. I will explain it if he doesn’t. “ If my research is correct I have to bite her. More speciffically on the neck.” Valerose says. He has done research? I know I have a shocked look on my face. “ When I decided to accept Lexi as my mate I did as much research as I could. I wanted to know as much as I could. I figured what I didn’t know Lexi would help with.” Valerose continued. Good move. It shows he is trying to understand Lexi. To a lesser extent Ryan and me. “ Yes, you have to bite her neck. Close to were Ryan and I have already bitten her. We usually do it during sex.” I say. I can’t help but remember when Ryan and I marked Lexi.

I love how she responded to us. Still does. “ Isn’t that painfull for Lexi?” he asks. I’m happy to see his first reaction is concern for Lexi’s well being. “ Briefly. That’s why we do it during sex. Well, one of the reasons. The whole process is designed to bond mates in every way. Trust me other that feeling the bond cement into place Lexi won’t feel pain from the bite.” I tell him. That seems to relax him. “ Tonight, Ryan and I are letting you have time alone with Lexi. Use it wisely.” I say. “ Thank you for that. As well as trusting me with Lexi. I get the feeling there is more you wish to say.” Valerose says.

“ We aren’t trusting aren’t trusting you. We are trusting Lexi.” Ryan says. We turn to see him walking over to us. I look at the dance floor to see Lexi dancing with Aiden’s dad. The man still looks at Lexi like a daughter. Even from here you can see the pride in his eyes. “ You haven’t earned our trust yet.” Ryan continues. “ I can respect that. Just to make sure I understand. I get Lexi all to myself tonight. I don’t have to share her?” Valerose asks. I shake my head. “ You do have to share her just not tonight. Unless after your mating Lexi wants us. Then you have know choice in the matter.” I said.

“ Look, Valerose. We are going to have many things to work out in the future. Like how to work together. In and out of the bedroom.” Ryan says. Valerose looks at the two of us. “ Wait are you telling me Lexi has sex with both of you. At the same time?” Valerose asks. “ Yes.” Ryan and I answer at the same time. “ Pure Lexi?” he asks in disbelief. “ Like we said. There are many things you need to learn about Lexi. Including that she likes to have sex with her mates at the same time. Or just sleeping with her mates in the same bed. She likes to keep her mates close to her any time she can. We will discuss all of this in the morning. Help Lexi enjoy her night. Mate with her. We will see you both at breakfast.” I tell him.

Valerose looks back to the dance floor where Lexi is now dancing with Max, the future Alpha of the Mackinaw island pack. “ There is so much I don’t know about Lexi. What I do know has come from the prophecy, witches, and the few times I have talked to.” he says. “ Forget everything you know. It is all wrong.” Ryan says. “ Well, except the powers part.” I say. I take a risk and place my hand on his shoulder. “ Don’t worry about any of that now.” I say. I point to the dance floor where Lexi and Max just finished. “ Go to her. Dance with your mate. The rest will fall in to place.” I said. Valerose didn’t need to be told anymore. In a flash he was on the dance floor standing in front of Lexi.

She looks startled at first, then she smiles offering Valerose her hand. He grabs her pulling her to his chest. He places a hand on her waist and holding her other one. I watch Lexi look at him with the same love in her eyes she has for Ryan and I. It will take time and some work. For Lexi I think we can make this work.
