Luther
“ We were talking to our professor. I saw Lexi shake her head a few times. It looked like she was having trouble focusing. I asked her if she was fine and she slowly said she was fine. Then she was swaying on her feet for a second before she started to fall.” Jesse said. Doc just nods as he hooks Lexi up to monitors. “ Did she hit the floor?” doc asked. “ No, I caught her and yelled for Freya.” Jesse answered.
“ What is wrong with my mate?” I growled. Doc turns around and looks as if he just noticed us. Maybe he did because his focus was on Lexi. “ I’m not sure yet, young Alpha. I’m going to run some tests. But you are going to have to keep yourself calm or you will have to leave. I understand she is your mate but you need to let me work.” he says. Aiden growls out not happy with what doc said.
Doc gives some instructions to the nurse before coming over to us. “ You have my word, I will do everything I can for our Luna. Nothing will happen to the daughter of the Goddess under my watch. I know it is hard to see your mate like that. But you are doing no good here if you can’t keep your wolves under control. Both of you.” he says before going back to Lexi. He is right. He can’t do his job if I’m growling at him all the time. I look at Aiden and motion with my head for him to follow me to the other side of the room so we won’t be in the way.
“ Aiden, we have to maintain control. Can you do that?” I asked. Aiden never takes his eyes off Lexi. “ I’m trying but Razor is freaking out. This is the second time he has seen her unconscious and he doesn’t like it.” he said. “ Let me talk to him for a minute. It might help.” I said. “ It is worth a try.” Aiden said and let Razor out. “ Hi Razor.” I said. “ Luther” he growls. “ Razor, I know you are worried about Lexi. But you need to back off a little and quit bothering the doctor. Let him do his job and Lexi will be giving you one of those sweet smiles of hers. You know she would want you to lose control. Can you do that? For Lexi?” I asked. I expected him to growl and snarl at me but all he does is nod and say “ For Lexi. But I want one of those smiles just for me.” I grasp his shoulder and say “ I’ll make sure of it.” I see Razor recede and Aiden look at me like I had grown wings.
“ What did you do? Razor is much calmer.” Aiden asked. “ I appealed to his love for Lexi. She would want the doctor to work without a fuss.” I said. When we were sure our wolves were calmer we talked. Aiden explained why he thought both of us taking Lexi on a date was a good idea. He thought that if she could see what it was like to have both her mates by her side. She can also see that we were willing to work together. I didn’t think it was a bad idea. I asked him if he was training to take over yet. He said his dad only started training him after he decided to get Lexi back. His dad wasn’t happy about Aiden’s choice to reject Lexi. Aiden laughed “ My parents love Lexi. Even after just a short meeting. I swear if they could trade me for her they would.”
We were silent for a minute before Aiden asked “ Luther, I know you have been with Lexi every night. And I know you have had some sexual contact. I could feel it. But you haven’t had sex with her have you?” I could tell him yes to piss him off but I see the guy is trying so I’m going to tell him the truth. “ No we haven’t had sex. I know that isn’t how it normally is when mates meet but Lexi is anything but normal. Lexi said she isn’t ready so I’m not pushing her. And the Elders say it is important to wait until her birthday. We have made out. What do you mean you could feel it?” I asked.
He told me he could feel when she was turned on. And not like we have heard when a mate is cheating on you. It wasn’t painful, he was just aware of it. He thinks he could even feel when Lexi had an orgams. “ Razor said Lexi is a virgin. He was able to talk to your wolf briefly one day. Still not sure how that happened.” Aiden said. I will ask Diesel about that later. “ Yes, Aiden. Lexi is a virgin. I was her first kiss. When we mate her it will be her first time. So we will have to take it slow.” I told him. Then I think back to the day I made her come just by playing with her tits. “ What are you smiling about?” Aiden asked. “ Young Alphas.” the doc called us. I look at Aiden “ I’ll tell you later.”
“ Your Luna will be fine. We just need to adjust her diet.” doc says. “ What happened to her?” Aiden asked. “ Luna’s blood sugar dropped causing her to pass out. When she was shaking her head it was probably to clear some dizziness.” doc explains. “ How did this happen?” Freya asked. “ Luna’s wolf is close to emerging so her body is getting ready. Her metabolism sped up to match a wolf’s but Lexi hasn’t been eating enough to counter it.” he said. “ So how do we fix it?” Jesse asked. “ Frequent meals and snacks. Also slowly increasing the amount she eats at one time. Lots of protein and carbs.” Doc says.
“ When will she wake up?” I asked.” When her sugar is back to normal. I have her on a drip to help. We should see a difference in about thirty minutes. For now we just let her rest. It is her body’s way of recovering.” he said. I thank him and pull a chair up beside Lexi. Aiden does the same on the other side. “ She looks like she is sleeping.” Aiden said. I shake my head “ No she doesn’t. I hope you like to cuddle. Lexi likes to lay on my chest and listen to my heartbeat to fall asleep. She says it soothes her. Fucking Deisel purrs when she does it. And she likes it better with a bare chest.” I said.
“ Razor can purr all night if I can get her to sleep on my chest. I want her in my arms.” Aiden said. I hate to say it but the guy looked so bad. I could see the remorse coming off of him. “ Keep doing what you're doing. Give her some time. Lexi will come around. I can see the bond she has with Razor. She doesn’t want to let it go. And if she has to put up with you to do it, she will.” I told him. Aiden grabs one of Lexi’s hands and I see his shoulders sag in relief. “ When I picked Lexi up for our date I noticed the sparks starting to fade. And it scared the shit out of me. They got stronger as the night went on. I can still feel them just as strong.” Aiden said.
“ They will get stronger as you get closer to her. Like you are getting zapped by electricity. It is fucking awesome. And when you see a glow surrounding both of you. You will know the bond between the two of you is strong.” I told him. We talked some more while we waited for Lexi to wake. It turns out he was just misguided in his attempts to reject Lexi. He isn’t a bad guy. If Lexi accepts him I can see myself working alongside him.
