Chapter 57
Aiden
“ Fae, catch me.” Lexi said as she started to fall. The small black and white wolf from earlier is at Lexi’s side, lays on the ground and lets Lexi fall on to her back. Razor and Diesel go and nudge Lexi with our muzzles checking on her. Lexi gives us a tired smile and scratches our snouts. “ I’m fine, my wolves. Just drained. Fae has me. Do what you need to do.” I look down and see scratches and bites on her arms. “She isn’t fine. We need to get her to the doctor.” Razor said. “ You're right.” I said. ” Lexi looks out “ I know all of you have questions. The sooner we get done here the sooner we can answer as many as we can. I’m sure Alpha and Luna will call a meeting.” Everyone gets down on one knee and bows their heads before going off to do what Lexi asked.
Lexi lays her head on Fae and closes her eyes. A minute later I see Dean coming out from behind the trees. He lays a pair of basketball shorts in front of Razor and Diesel. He goes and knees in front of Lexi “ My queen.” Lexi opens her eyes, smiles but doesn’t lift her head. “ Hey Dean.” “ We can handle things here. Let Freya take you to get looked at and some food. You have drained yourself. You need rest.” he said. “ You are probably right. Help me stand.” she said, holding her hand out. “ Razor, she can barely stand. Have them put Lexi on our back.” I told him.
Though I didn’t need to. Razor was already laying down. Lexi giggles “ Dean, meet Razor. Aiden’s wolf.” Dean bows “ Alpha.” Razor nods his head. “ I think he wants me on his back.” Lexi said. Razor nods and says to me “ I want her riding me in more ways than this.” “ Not now, Razor.” I scolded him. He is acting like a horney pup at the thought of Lexi riding him and she looks like she is seconds from falling asleep. “ Like you haven’t thought about it.” he laughed. Yes, I have but now isn’t the proper time. Dean lifts Lexi and places her on my back.
“ Wrap your arms around his neck and lay down.” Dean told her. I am able to see her look around at the blood and gore surrounding us. “ Such a waste. Useless death.” she says as she lays her head down on me.
I can feel her warmth seep through Razor’s fur. Razor purr causing Lexi to giggle. “ Feels good to me too, Razor.” she said sleepily. “ I have linked Alpha and the doctor. They are waiting on you.” Dean said. I will have to thank him later. “ Fae, with me please.” Lexi said. Fea led the way as we walked slowly, careful not to jostle Lexi, back to the packhouse. The whole time we are walking I can feel Lexi lazily running her fingers through Razor's fur. “ She feels good wrapped around me.” he purred. “ I know the feeling.” I said remembering how she slept in my arms last night. “ I don’t want to lose this Aiden. Don’t let her finish the rejection.” Razor whimpered at me.
“ I’m trying. I can still feel Lexi isn’t fully trusting of me yet.” I told him. “ She doesn’t. She trusts me. She is the best thing that has happened to me. I don’t want to give that up.” he said. I remember Luther and I talking. He told me that Lexi is more connected to Razor than me. “ Razor, what if I let you come forward more when we are around Lexi. If she doesn’t trust me yet, maybe by you being forward more she will focus on you and not the rejection. She could spend time with both of us. That may help.” I said. I’m desperate. I will do anything to stop the rejection, even letting Razor have more control. “ I can kiss her more?” Razor laughed. “ If she lets you, yes.” I said. “ She will,” he said with confidence. I don’t doubt him.
As we walk to the packhouse I know we are getting odd looks but I don’t care. We just need to get Lexi to safety. I see Alpha Riverclaw and the doctor from yesterday at the back door waiting for us. I hear soft snores and know Lexi has fallen asleep. At least she didn’t pass out this time. Alpha comes forward “ Let me take her. She will be safe. Luther will show you where you can clean up then bring you to her room. I’ll take Freya with me.” I don’t like it but he is right. I should get cleaned up before I see Lexi again. I know Razor is covered in blood. As much as we don’t like it Razor lowers himself so Alpha can grab Lexi. The one thing that put us both at easy was the way Alpha handled Lexi. He picked her up off my back and cradled him to his chest like I have seen father’s in my pack do with their young kids. “ I have you sweet girl. Just rest.” he said as he walked into the house with the doctor following.
