Chapter 109

Luther

We sat holding Lexi until it was time for dinner. We always have to go down to the dinning room ten minutes early because Lexi likes to visit with everyone that shows up to eat in the packhouse. It happens no matter what packhouse we are at. She wants to find out how everyone is doing and how there day was. She also uses the time to find out if anyone is having any issues Ryan or I need to be aware of. It took us three times to figure out a system so our food wouldn’t get cold. The first time it happened it was at my pack and the second was at Ryan’s. We figured it was just Lexi getting to know everyone. Nope, she does it every time.

The people in Ryan’s pack were taken back by Lexi wanting to get to know them. All of them. She would talk to the kitchen staff, the gardener, the house keepers, nurses, daycare workers, warriors, you name it. If you are part of the pack Lexi is talking to you and making sure you were doing well and had everything you needed. It took Ryan’s a little whiled to get used to it. Apparently the old Luna never talked to anyone unless she had to and she limited it to certain people. But once they got used to it the people loved it. They loved that Lexi would not only talk to them but knew their names as well as mates and childrens names if the had them and their job.

While we eat my mind is anywhere but on the food. Don’t get me wrong the food is always good. I just have so many things going through my mind and food isn’t one of them. It on what Lexi did today. It is with wanting to figure out how our wolves are talking and interacting without us knowing. I haven’t talked with Deisel about it yet. And a Luna that is way over due. Thank the Goddess for my mom and Luna Cline. Ryan and I told my mom about it and she took over. We are keeping it a surprise for Lexi.

With everything going on we wanted to give Lexi a happy surprise. Add in the two things Lexi asked Ryan and I earlier. Those things are at the forefront of my mind. Lexi wants to have pups with us in the future.I love the idea. So does Diesel. He keeps sending me images of a very pregant yet smiling Lexi. He send me and image of him rubbing against her stomach. Then I moved to what she asked about Ryan and me doing double penatration. That it was a fantasy of hers.

In all the talks Ryan and I have had about having sex with Lexi, that didn’t come up. I don’t know if it is because we never thought it was possible. Or if we didn’t think Lexi wouldn’t be into something like that. Maybe it is because it isn’t something we would be into. I won’t those answers until I get a chance to talk to Ryan in private. “ You can do that later. You need to focus. Lexi is trying to talk to you.” Diesel said. Shit. I turn my head towards her and see she is worried.

“ Luther?” Lexi asked. I take her hand off the table and kiss the top. “ I’m sorry, baby. I zoned out. What were talking about?” I asked. Lexi says out loud “ We were telling Annabelle about the first time I met Jesse, then Remus. And the first time I saw someone shift.” I nod. She linked me “ Are you sure you’re okay?” “ Yes, baby. Diesel keeps sending me pictures of you pregnant. It is making it hard to focus.” I told her. So it was only the half truth but I didn’t think having a sex talk at the table surrounded by people was a good idea.

“ Arya says he is excited about the prospect.” Lexi said. “ Yes, I am.” Diesel answered. Arya and Lexi chuckled. Ryan linked me “ I know you want to talk. We can do it after Lexi falls asleep.” I do a small nod so he knows I heard him and put my thought in the back of my head for now. Dwelling on them wasn’t going to solve them right now so no sense in ruining our evening. I sit and listen to the story of how Jesse met Lexi and what he was to her.

I laughed when he told us about Lexi feeding him hots dogs on a plate when the met and she thought he was a regular wolf. Annabelle asked him what he did with them after she left. Jesse said he ate them. He didn’t want to hurt Lexi’s feelings after she went to the trouble to get them and heat them for him. We all got a good laugh at that. With everything that is going on it is nice to just sit and relax with good friends. Laughing, telling stories, not having too many worries. At least for now.

We were still talking as the kitchen staff cleared out dishes. I was about to ask Lexi what she wanted to do with the rest of our night when Lexi tilted her head like she was listening for something. That is when I heard it. The sound of little feet running and “ Luna. Luna wait.” We all turn to the soundto see a little girl around four, maybe, with blonde pigtails running towards us with something in her hands. I have seen this little girl around from time to time. Her name is Patricia, but is called Patty for short. I see her stumble and jump to catch her but I’m not fast enough. In a blur of light Lexi has gotten to her and picked up the giggling cutie.

Lexi walks back to her seat saying “ Patty, you need to be careful. You don’t have your wolf healing yet, you could have gotten hurt.” “ I know. I’m sorry. I just wanted to bring you and the Alpha’s a treat before you left.” Patty said as Lexi say down with Patty in her lap. That is when I see the plate she was holding. “ You brought us a treat?” Lexi asked. “ Yes Luna. I helped mommy make cupcakes today and she said I could bring some to you.” Patty said. Lexi, Ryan and I look at the cupcakes on the plate. You could tell a child had helped or someone got carried away with the sprinkles and icing. Lexi pointed to the plate “ You helped make these.” Patty nods. “ Then I am honored that you want to share with us. Come I’ll help you pass them out then you can sit and eat with me.” Lexi said. Lexi placed Patty on the floor before standing up. Patty carefully takes the plate and goes to Ryan who is just on the other side of me first.

Lexi holds the plate so Patty could hand Ryan his cupcake. It is white cake with chocolate icing covered in red sprinkles. “ Here you go, Alpha Ryan.” patty said placing the cupcake on the table in front of him. Ryan leans down and hugs her. “ Thank you Patty.” he said. She comes to me next, this one has dark purple icing with gold sprinkles on it. I bend down and give her a kiss on the top of her head “ Thank you.” She smiles at me “ Welcome, Alpha Luther.”

They get back to Lexi’s chair and the two sit down with the last one. “ I picked this one just for you, Luna.” Patty said. This one had a greenish, blue icing with silver sprinkles on it. “ It reminds me of your wolf.” Patty said. “ Thank you very much. I have a favor to ask. You see I’m pretty full from dinner and don’t think I could eat the whole thing by myself. Will you share it with me?” Lexi asked. Lexi looks across the room at Patty’s mom “ If that is alright with you?” Patty looks over “ Can I mommy?” Patty’s mom nods.

Patty claps her hands together “ Yeah, I get to have cupcakes with Luna.” Lexi giggles at Patty. Lexi peals the wrapper from the cupcake and lays it flat on the table. She carefully divided the cake into two giving Patty her piece first. Patty waits until Lexi has hers before they take a bite at the same time. When the pull their hands back they both having icing on the lips. The sight makes Patty laugh. “ Luna, is wearing icing.” she giggled. I noticed a few people tense up. Why is that? Lexi taps Patty’s lip with her pinky. “ So are you. We are icing twins.” Lexi laughs.

I watch as people start to relax again. “ Ryan, why did people tense up when Patty laughed at Lexi?” I linked him. “ You saw that too. I’m not sure. But I kids didn’t come around my mom often. I didn’t think much about it but now I think they were afraid of her. I have noticed differences in the way my pack acts now that I have had Lexi coming around and the way they acted with my mom. After being around your pack I really notice a difference.” Ryan linked as we watched Lexi and Patty be silly with icing. Now Patty has some on the tip her nose. How did that happen? Lexi and Patty are cracking up.

I can see it is contagious. Others are watching the two playing and are quietly chuckling at them. “ What do you mean?” I asked Ryan. I see him staring at Patty and Lexi. “ We will talk later. I think we are getting a glimps of our future.” I nod and watch the girls. I see what he means. I can see Lexi sitting with our pups being silly about wearing an icing mustache, or having bubble fights. I can see her rocking them in her arms looking contant and happy. “ She is going to be a great mother one day.” Diesel said. “ Yes, she is.” I heard Stone say.

I see Lexi’s eyes flash. Patty let’s out an excited squeal “ Luna Arya. Hi.” “ Luna Arya?” I asked Ryan in a link. He just shrugs his shoulders. He has no clue. “Hello, Patty. You are a messy pup. Just like Luna Lexi.” Arya giggles. “ Luna Lexi and me were having cupcakes.” Patty giggled. “ I saw that. I’m going to give Luna Lexi back to you. I just wanted to say ‘Hi’.” “ See you later Luna Arya.” Patty said. When Lexi eyes change back Lexi says “ Patty, let’s go see if your mom will help clean us up before we stick to everything.”

Patty jumps down “ Come on Luna. I’ll take you to mommy. She has special soap that takes the sticky away.” “ I’ll be right back.” Lexi links us before slowly chasing after a giggling Patty. When they are out of hearing distance Ryan looks at Annabelle. “ May I ask you a question?” he asks. “ Of course Alpha.” Annabelle said. Ryan shakes his head “ It is just Ryan from now on. Alpha Henry Cline will be your new Alpha soon.” Annabelle nods. “ I want you to be honest with me. You will not be in any trouble. How did you feel about Luna Skyline? Did you feel like she was a good Luna?” Ryan asked.
