I can’t believe how beautiful and amazing Arya is. From the first moment I saw her I was in love with her. I fall more in love with her every day. There would be no wolf better for me. I don’t know what I did to earn this kind of favor from the Goddess but I make sure to thank her every day. I watch her nuzzle Diesel’s neck burying her nose in his neck. I wanted to laugh when I watched him nip at her neck. Arya playfully growled at him before moving over to me. “ Hello, my beauty,” I said. Arya gives me a wolfy grin. “ Hello, my sexy mate,” she says. I rub my nose against hers before moving down to her neck.
I buried my nose deep into her fur and just breathed her intoxicating scent in. Arya places her head on top of mine and purrs. “ I have missed you, love. Both of you.” she purrs. “ We have missed you too.” Diesel said as he rubbed against her side. Yes, even in wolf form we both touch her. It is no different from our human forms. The need to touch our mate is always strong. I was about to nudge Arya when she suddenly stepped on full alert. Her ears are twitching as she turns her head towards the woods. What is she hearing? A split second before Arya runs off I hear a child’s cry.
Diesel and I run after her through the woods. We run for about five minutes and deep in the woods before we come across a child six maybe seven leaning against a tree looking around. When Arya is about five feet from the kid Arya stops gets on her belly and crawls to the kid. “ Mitchell, what are you doing this far from the pack house?” Arya asked the child when she got close to him. The kid looked up like he just noticed we were there. “ Luna Arya, I was playing hide and seek with Andrew, Sara, Nick and Kerry. I didn’t know I went too far until I couldn’t find my way back.” Mitchell told us.
“ How long have you been out here? Your parents must be worried sick.” Arya said as she looked him over. I could see some cuts and scraps but nothing major. “ I’m not sure,” he said. Of course he doesn’t. He is a kid.I don’t remember keeping track of the time when I was with my friends. “ That’s okay. Here is what we are going to do. I want you to climb on my back and we are going to take you to the pack house. The Alpha Ryan is going to link your parents.” Arya said. Mitchell’s eyes got big like they were going to pop out of their sockets. “ Really? I get to ride on you, Luna Arya?” Mitchell asked.
Arya didn’t say anything she just lay flat on the ground. Mitchell giggles, gets to his feet and carefully climbs onto Arya’s back. Diesel and I got on the sides of Arya to protect Mitchell in case he fell. Once Mitchell was settled, Arya told him to hold on tight because she was going to run. Arya stood up and then took in a casual run with a giggling Mitchel bouncing on her back. Diesel and I follow them. “ I’m sorry, loves. I know we were supposed to have time and go for a run. We will. I promise. I have to make sure he is safe.” Arya said.
“ We understand, babe. You are right. The safety of this pup. Of the pack will always come before ourselves.” Diesel told her. “ We can run later. Let’s go make sure they haven’t sent out a search party for Mitchell.” I told her. Ryan saw what was going on and said “There is going to be a wonderful Luna and mother.” “ No, my silly human. Not going to be. They already are.” I told him. It didn’t take us long to get to the back to the pack house. The entire time Mitchell is giggling. As soon as we got to the steps of the back porch the back door flew and two frantic parents came rushing out.
“ Mitchell, oh thank the Goddess you are alright.” the woman cries. Arya turns to the side and lays down so Mitchell can climb down onto the step. “ Mommy. Daddy, did you see Luna Arya let me ride her? It was so cool.” Mitchell gushed. Mitchell’s dad helped him get off Arya. “ Yes, we did.” his dad chuckled. Once Mitchell was on the ground Arya shifted. Lexi explained what had happened and where he was found. “ Arya took a quick look and didn’t see any major injuries. Just to be safe you might want to take him to get checked out.” Lexi said.“ Luna, Alphas. Thank you so much for finding him.” Mitchell’s mom said.
“ You never have to thank us for doing the right thing,” Lexi said. Mitchell charges Lexi’s legs almost knocking her down. He wraps his arms around her legs. “ Thank you, Lunas’. I hope when I get my wolf he is just like Arya.” he giggles. Lexi unwraps his arms and squats down so she is at eye level with him. “ Mitchell, as sweet as it is that you want your wolf to be like Arya it isn’t possible,” she said. Poor Mitchell looked so heartbroken.
Arya pushed forward and took a deep look into his eyes. “ Mitchell, you can’t be like me. I was created just for Lexi. Just like Stone was created for Alpha Ryan and Deisel for Alpha Luther. Each wolf is created just for the person they are given to. The Goddess, Lexi and my mother have chosen a special wolf just for you.” Arya told him. Mitchell was looking at her in aww. He wasn’t the only one. “ And you know what?” Arya asked him. “ What?” he asked.
“ I can see him,” Arya told him. Mitchell gasped. “ You can?” he asked. “ I can. He is with you right now. Curled up, sleeping at the back of your mind. Getting stronger every day until the day he can show himself.” Arya said before retreating. Mitchell hugs Lexi again. “ Thank you so much Lunas,” he said before going off with his parents. Lexi turns to us and says “ Take your girl for a run.” before shifting.
