Chapter 161

Luther

As the wolves went for their snack Mary came up to us. “ My kings, breakfast is being put out.” That was Mary’s way of telling that we needed to get Lexi moving or she would never get a warm meal. Each cook gives us a ten minute heads up so Lexi can make her rounds. Now it is time to get Valerose involved in Lexi’s routine. He needs to learn so why not start now. “ Baby, why don’t you grab your coffee and head to the dining room.” I suggest. Lexi finally gets up off the floor. She has been watching the wolves since they left to eat. Lexi has always been protective over them. I feel it will get worse now that there are pups on the way. I don’t have a problem with it.

It’s her motherly instinct. Her Luna instinct. “ She will be a wonderful mother to our pups. Arya as well.” Diesel said. “ I know buddy.” I agree. Lexi smiles, gives me a kiss on the cheek before doing the same to Ryan and Valerose before grabbing her coffee and heading to the dining room. Ryan stands from his chair as I do. “ Come on Valerose. Time to get you used to Lexi’s routine.” Ryan says. As we are walking I say “ Think of it as the beginning of training in all things Lexi. We will walk you through as much as we can today. Some you will have to learn on your own.”
Valerose didn’t skip a beat “ I want to know everything about Lexi. And Arya.” I’m glad he included Arya in that statement. He needs to understand that they are the same but different at the same time. They are one person but two separate beings. They are to be treated as such even if Valerose may not be able to connect with Arya the same way Ryan and I can. As Lexi made her rounds, greeting and catching up with everyone, Ryan and I, with Valerose’s help, got a plate made for Lexi. Well, two plates. One filled with eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns. The other has Lexi’s favorite buttered rye bread, a blueberry muffin, mixed fruit and a strawberry yogurt.

As we make our way to our spots at the table I see Valerose eyeing the plates. “ These are for Lexi. We will go back and get ours in a minute.” I told him. It was comical to see his eyes get big like they were going to pop out of his head. He looks at Lexi who is talking to Alpha Henry, then back to the plates that aren’t nearly as full as one Ryan and I would get. “ She eats all that.” he asks like it is the craziest thing he has ever seen. Ryan and I laugh at his reaction. “ Sometimes, when she has burned too much energy. Not normally. We just make sure she has a variety to choose from.” Ryan chuckles.

Ryan tells me “ Fill our brother mate in. I’ll grab us some food.” We have done this before so I took a seat. “ Hi, King Luther.” came a tiny voice from my side. I look down and see Timmy. He is a three year old that belonged to one of Ryan’s warriors. Before I can respond to him he turns to Valerose. “ Hi, King. Vampire.” he said. I couldn’t help but laugh. Valerose did too. Val holds out his hand for Timmy. “ You can just call me , Val,” he said. Timmy stood a little taller and shook Val’s hand.” You can call me Timmy.” said in his best attempt to sound like a grown up.

Ryan came back with his arms loaded with plates for him and me. As I help him place them on the table. “ Hi, Timmy. What brings you over?” Ryan asks. Not that we mind when the pups come and talk to us. We enjoy it and want the pups and anyone else feel free to do so. Timmy grabs a blueberry muffin from a plate before he says, “ Queen Lexi took Anders from mommy. So I came to visit.” Timmy said. I look up and sure enough I see Lexi walking over to us with an eight month old Anders on her hip. Just like every time I saw her holding a baby I saw our future pups. I noticed Valerose was looking at Lexi with the same look Ryan and I have when we look at her.

Like he could see Lexi holding his future children. Hell, he probably is since the Goddess’s told us that Lexi will be able to bear him children. Something unheard of until now. .Lexi kissed my cheek first, Ryan next then Valerose before she sat down. Kent and my dad had just sat down at the head of the table. Kent sees the baby in Lexi’s arm and smiles.” Who is our young guest?” My dad asks. The little guy has his head on Lexi’s shoulder. His eyes red from crying. You can tell he has been fussy. “ This is Anders. Poor little guy is teething. He kept his mom up all night. So I took him so she could eat.” Lexi says. As if to prove how miserable he is, Anders begins to fuss. Did Lexi get up and give the pup back to his mother? Nope. She rubs his back and hums. Much like she does with Vinny and the other wolves. I see she pushes out just a bit of her calming glow as well.

In a matter of moments Anders is calming down. “ As if I didn’t know it already, Lexi is going to be a wonderful mother.” Dad links me. “ I know.” I said. Lexi looks over at me and tilts her head in question. Probably because I’m staring at her. I’m not the only one. I just smile and wink at her. Still holding a much calming Anders Lexi nibbles at her food taking care not to drop any on the baby. “ Lexi, this is supposed to be your day to rest. Do you have plans?” Kent asks. “ I would like for Ryan, Luther and I to take Val around the pack lands. Get people used to him being around. I would like to check on the other vampires to make sure they are taken care of and get anything they may need. Then there is the freed wolves. I need to find out just how many can return to their packs or need to find new packs. I also think the four of us need some personal time. Luther and Ryan need to find a way to bond. Or at least figure out how this is going to work with the four of us.” Laxi stated.

She suddenly giggled “ I also want to make sure Isabelle hasn’t killed Embrose yet.” That got a laugh out of most of the table. Except Val who looked confused. “ Would she really try to kill him?” Val asked. Lexi chuckles “ Belle is an excellent warrior. She could kill him. There will be no try. Though I doubt she will since he is her mate. However she won’t just give in to him either. She is going to make him prove himself to her. My girl knows her value.She bows to no one. Well, except me.” Val thinks on that for a second before he says “ Ebrose could use a challenge instead of women throwing themselves at him.” Ryan chuckles, “ Belle will definitely give him a run for his money.”

That earned a laugh from the rest of the table. “ Lexi, dear. I understand wanting to check on everyone. However you need this day to bond. You now have a third mate and the three of you need to bond with him and him you. Every Luna has taken the day after her induction off.” my mom says. “ But,” Lexi starts. “ I also know how stubborn you are and won’t be able to focus on your mates if you don’t see to the newcomers. So how about a compromise?” Mom says.

“ What sort of compromise?” Lexi asked. Calissa answers “ Christine and I will go with you to check on everyone. Give us a list of what you want done. We will pull in a few people and get it done. That way you can spend the day with your mates.” I can see the wheels turning in Lexi’s head. Part of her wants to refuse and do it on her own.To prove she can be a good Luna and Queen. The other part knows there is nothing wrong with asking for help.

“ Yes, I would like that. Thank you. Both.” Lexi said. “ We really want to spend time with our mates. Naked is best.” Arya said. I had just taken a drink of orange juice when she said it, causing me to choke a little. Val suddenly found the table interesting. Ryan was trying to hold back a growl. Lexi just smirked. I haven’t had Lexi in two days. I’m ready to have her naked and screaming my name. Sounds like so is she. “ I’m right there with you.” Ryan links me.

“ Soon, my mates. I need to do a few things first. Then I’m all yours. All three of you.” Lexi says. We drop this line of thought as Anders mom comes to collect him. “ Thank you so much Queen Lexi.” she says. “ Think nothing of it. I want you to remember something. You can always reach out for help. Even if it is just to take a shower in peace. There is an entire pack to help. If you can’t find someone you trust come get me.” Lexi tells her. Lena looks like she is about to cry but they look like happy tears. “ I will, my Queen. Thank you again.” Timmy hugs Lexi, Ryan and me. He shakes Valerose’s hand before leaving with his mom. “ Eat up my loves. You are going to need the energy.” Lexi links us before eating herself. Are we done yet?
