Ryan

I could feel Lexi’s anger radiating through the bond. When Luther told me what was going on and that he was trying to calm Lexi down before she lost control. I didn’t bother getting into my car. I just shifted not bothering to take my clothes off shredding them as I went getting there faster. I could hear several shifting behind me to follow. It was a few warriors and Lexi’s guardians. She has a close connection with them and were feeling her anger as well. And we were all worried. We raced through the forest to get to the packhouse faster. When they were half way there he could feel Lexi calming down.

“ Luther is trying to calm her down. It is working a little but not enough. Christine is tyring to help as well so no one gets hurt.” Stone told me. He must be in touch with Arya and Diesel. Why didn’t I think to try to contact Luther. “ Because you didn’t want to distract him from Lexi.” Diesel said. That’s true. “ Arya is pissed as well fueling Lexi. Deisel and I are trying to calm her down more.” Stone said and blocked me out. I hope it is to focus on Arya and not him being an ass. By the time we got to the packhouse we were greeted by an omega with clothes for us to change into. Once we shifted and put the clothes on the omega said “ Alpha Ryan, Alpha Luther and Luna Christina said to go to the training field. That is were they took queen Lexi.” I thanked the omega and took off.

I can feel Lexi’s emotions all over the place but no one else seems to be reacting. I wonder why. I follow Lexi’s scent to the farthest training field. Why would they bring her all the way out here? I see Luna Christina walking towards us as I see flashes of light. “ Ryan, sweety, come this way. I don’t want you getting hit by accident.” Luna Christina said. Yes, she can call me Ryan. Since she found out about the shit with my own mom Christina has been treating me like one of her own. “ Luna, what is going on? What happened to Lexi?” I asked her in an agitated tone. I was on edge because of Lexi’s feelings coming through the bond.

Luna Christina stops and places her hands on my shoulder. “ Ryan, I need you to do your best to calm down so you can listen to me.” she said. I stop and take a deep breath to try to calm down. Not an easy feat. I was feeling two sets of emotions so it was hard to calm myself. And being an Alpha doesn’t help either. Everything is heighten with us. Luna Christina smiles at me. “ Good, now follow me and I’ll tell you what I know. “ she said. I walked beside her as we went to where the flashes of light and Lexi’s smell where coming from. “ We aren’t sure what happened today at school. You know she met with Valerose. Melissa told us Lexi kept to herself since the meeting. But they could feel her stress.” Christina said.

Christine then told me about Lexi coming home and the omega disrespecting her. And that was just enough to push Lexi over the edge. “ With everything that poor girl has been through the omega running her mouth and Lexi couldn’t hold it in anymore. Luther got her to calm down a little but not enough. I made the suggestion for Lexi to come out to the field to let is all out. All the stress, worry, anger, frustration, and fear she has been hold ing in. A few elite warriors even volunteered to spar with Lexi to help her. Even saying Lexi could use her powers if she needed to.” she told us. “ And the light show?” Isabelle asked. “ Lexi took out five warriors in under five minutes. They are in the clinic now. Minor injuries that will be completely healed in a few days. One concussion. A few broken arms. They told Lexi to not hold back and she didn’t. It looked like a large bowling ball took them down in one shot. Luther put a stop to it before she seriously hurt someone. Luther and I came up with the light show so she would hurt anyone. We told her to blast everything into the sky for the moon Goddess to take. Her and Arya.” Luna Christine said.

I look into the sky and see blasts of various colors. “ I’m still a little confused, Luna. You said Lexi was stressed but I haven’t gotten that from her until earlier.” I said. “ Stone have you felt any stress from her or Arya?” I asked. “ No, or I would have said something.” he said. “ She has been good about hiding it. Everything that has happened to her from the moment she found out who she is and what she has supposed to do. The mating, the luna ceremony that she knows she is supposed to have but hasn’t yet and she doesn’t know why. School, training, trying to be a Luna to two packs. The list goes on and on. She kept it all to herself trying to do it all. And what ever happened today was just too much for her to handle.” she said.

I look over at her and see she looks upset . I know how much she adores Lexi. See’s her like a daughter. “ You didn’t let Lexi down. You know that right?” I asked. “ Feels like I did. Calissa will feel the same when she finds out. Right now Lexi needs both her mates. Go to her. Calm her down and take a night or two off. Get your beta to take over the pack for a day so you and Luther can focus on Lexi. She needs it and I think it would be good for you and Luther.” she said. It isn’t a bad idea at all. Because I have something to make up for. How could I not see Lexi was stressed out? Why hadn’t I picked up on anything? “ Because our mates were able to hide it very well.” Stone said. “ I just got through to Arya. You need to get up here.” Diesel said.

Before I can respond we all hear a scream that would make your ears bleed followed by a bright blue light. I ran not caring who followed. When I got to the field I see several warriors and guards surrounding it watching. In the middle is Lexi floating ten feet off the ground encased in a ball of light blue glow. Luther is standing to her side looking up at her. “ Baby, Ryan is here. We have got you now. Just let us in.” he said. I see Lexi look around so I run to wear she can see me. “ Ryan? Luther?” she asks with tears in her eyes. “ We are here, honey. Come down to us. Please.” I said. “ It was just too much. I didn’t mean to lash out.” Lexi cries. I hear crying in my head.

“ Shush, we have you. You two don’t have to do this alone anymore.” Stone said. He must be talking to Arya. “ Lexi, we know that. We know you would never hurt anyone unless it was necessary. Come down and let us hold you. We will figure this all out together. Just like Stone, Diesel and Arya are.” Luther said. “ But I hurt people. It is safe for them with me up here.” she cried. “ Lexi, I want you to listen to me very carefully.” Luna Christine bellowed. Lexi turned her teary eyes on Christina. “ No one was seriously hurt. You can check on them yourself tomorrow. But they knew going in they could be hurt and they wanted to help. You do not need to feel bad because they did. They all volunteered. Please sweet girl come down and let your mates comfort and help you.” Christina said.

“ I’m scared. I don’t know if I can do all of this. It just gets more confusing.” Lexi said as floated a little lower to where she was only five feet off the ground. “ We know you are scared, baby. And we know you can do this with all of us helping you.” Luther said. “ And tonight it will be just the three of us. You can unload and tell us everything that is bothering you. Or we can put everything on hold and just relax. No interuptions.” I told her stressing it would be the three of us. “ Yea? We can do that?” she asked timidly. “ Yea, baby. What ever you want.” Luther said. Lexi floats to the ground with mine and Luther’s arms waiting for her.

When she is in our arms everyone stays close but turns their backs to give us some privacy. When Lexi’s glow fades she lays her head on Luther’s chest. That is when I notice the dark circles under her eyes. And it looks tired. No not tired exhausted. “ How the hell did we not notice this?” Luther linked me. “ I don’t know man, but from here on out we will have to do better.” I said. “ Agreed.” he said.
