Chapter 54
Lexi
I saw the nursery where they kept the infants up to one year olds. The next room was for one and two year olds. Then the three and four year olds. Each room was colorfully decorated with cartoon characters and stuffed animals. I saw the small lunch room they had set up for meals and snacks. It is no more than a few kid sized picnic tables. It was a great set up and all the kids seemed to like it here. After a round of hugs the kids asked for and good-byes we left to our next stop. “ Luther, where do the kids go to school?” I asked. “ We have a small school on the grounds for kindergarten up till fifth grade the parents can use. There is also an elementary school, middle school and high school in town they use.” he said.
I held my hand out towards Aiden who was still walking behind us. I didn’t like it. I felt the need to have him close. He seemed to understand and grabbed it. “ Do you have something similar in your pack?” I asked him. “ Yes, we do. Some parents choose to homeschool as well.” Aiden said. We toured the clinic next and Luther introduced me to all the staff from the receptionist to all the nurses. There I got a mix of greetings from welcoming to looks of jealousy and envy. Some didn’t even try to hide it. A few braver ones or stupid disrepected me in front of Luther. “ Alpha are you sure she is your mate? She doesn’t look like much.” one woman said. I could feel a slight shift in my body when she said that and my glow pulsing.
“ You dare disrespect your future Luna. In front of me?” Luther growls letting out a powerful aura. Everyone instantly bows except me and Aiden. It was strong. I could feel it go through me but I felt no need to bow. Aiden was watching me, smiling that I wasn’t bowing as well. Just one more thing I needed to ask about. The woman who was being rude was on her knees whimpering. “ I’m sorry. I won’t do it again.” she cried. “ Do you know what happens to people who disrespect the Luna and Alpha?” Luther asked. The woman nods still crying. “ Yes. I’m sorry.” “ Good. Take her away.” Luther said. Suddenly two large men I didn’t see before grabbed her by the arms dragging her out the door. If I remember my studies right she will be put in a cell to wait for further punishment.
Once she was gone Luther turned to me and placed his hands on my face “ Baby, I’m sorry about that. This was meant to be a fun outing.” I placed my hands on top of his. “ Luther my love, you can’t control everyone’s thoughts. A few are going to speak out. I’m prepared for it. I will just have to prove them wrong. We have more important things to worry about than a few naysayers. Now show me the rest of your land. Can we see the forest next?” I asked.
Luther smiled and Aiden laughed. “ Anything you want.” Luther said. He led us out the hospital down a path behind it and out to the woods. We were about fives into the woods when Luther stopped us. “ Lexi, a couple of weeks ago I made a deal with you that if you beat your time on the gauntlet I would show you my wolf. I haven’t done it yet. I’m going to fix that.” he said. I start jumping up and down clapping and giggling. “ Really, I can finally meet Diesel.” Luther laughs at my reaction. “ Yes, baby. And Diesel loves how excited you are.” he said.
I quickly spin around to Aiden “ Oh can I meet Razor too?” I asked. “ I don’t have a problem with it as long as Luther doesn’t mind. This is his and your time I’m invading.” Aiden said. I looked back towards Luther. “ You aren’t invading our time. I have no problem with you being here or I would have said otherwise. You are her mate too. If your wolf wants to come out and join me go for it. It probably isn’t a bad idea for our wolves to meet.” Luther said. I was so happy I couldn’t contain my glow and I didn’t want to. Aiden and Luther go behind a tree to take their clothes off. I know they have to get naked or they will rip their clothes.
Yum, the thought of them without their clothes on puts naughty images in my head of what they would look like naked. I have seen them topless and I do enjoy the sight. I feel my body warming thinking about how they look from the waist down. I know they both have strong, thick muscular legs. Their pants give that away. Before I can go too far into dirty thoughts Luther calls out “ Remember baby, it is still us just as our wolves.” “ I’m not afraid. Excited. Hurry up.” I yelled out. It is nice that Luther is concerned but there is no reason. After seeing Jesse change I’m not shocked anymore. Jackson and Melissa change all the time in front of me.
The first wolf to come out is huge. At least three times larger than a regular wolf and about twice the size of Jesse’s wolf. His fur is a mix of dark brown and blonde. Although he was intimidating in his size he didn’t scare me. When he sat down I walked up to him to show I wasn’t afraid. As soon as I was close I knew right away who he was. I don’t know how but something in me recognizes him. Even though he is sitting he is still a bit taller than me so I had to reach up to scratch his snout. “ It is nice to finally meet you Razor.”
He bows his head to me and I look into his eyes. I know he can’t talk to me in this form, at least not yet. But I think I have a way. I look deep in his eyes and let my eyes glow freely. I can’t hear him but I can feel his emotions. I feel excitement, happiness and love pouring out of him into me. I pull back to wrap my arms around his neck and pour all that I’m feeling into. I may not love Aiden yet but I do love Razor and I want him to feel it. He nuzzles my head letting me know he feels it.
I pull back from Razor when I feel another presence. I look over and see a light brown wolf with white paws. I have seen him before when I was sitting by the lake I had found. “ Diesel, I would say it was nice to meet you but we have met before haven’t we.” I said. He nods. I walk up to him and rub his face “ I forgive you for keeping your secret.” I hugged him like I did Razor letting him feel me as well. “ I must say I’m a lucky girl to have two handsome wolves by my side.” I said, stepping back looking at both of them. I decided to have a little fun. “ Now let’s see if you can catch me.” and took off running, laughing as I went. I didn’t hide my speed this time. They were shifters. They would catch me.
