Valerose

“ It is rare my queen. It is not a gift I intend on taking for granted.” I tell her. Lexi smiles even brighter. “ Good answer, old man.” her wolf says again. I try to talk to the wolf not sure how this works. “ If you are going to continue to insult me could you tell me your name?” I asked hoping it worked. “ My name is Arya. I’m not insulting you. I’m speaking the truth. You are old” Arya giggled.

“ It is good to know that you are accepting your gift. How do you plan claiming your mate? Words won’t be enough. I’m sure you can understand that considering your history with wolves.” Lexi smirks. It seems my girl wants me to prove myself to her. I can do that. Here goes nothing. I look at the vampires around me including Embrose and discreatly nod. Embrose didn’t like this when I told him my plan. After seeing he also wolf mate I hoping this may help sway her. As well as convince him we are doing the right thing..” You are correct, my queen. Words will never be enough.”I tell her.

I lead and my vampires follow. We drop to one knee in front of Lexi. I look Lexi in the eyes as we place a closed fist over our hearts. I make sure to keep Lexi’s gaze. I see her mates watching my every move. “ My queen. I pledge my loyalty and allegiance to you. If you will have me as your third mate it would be my sole honor to serve all your needs for the rest of my days.” I told her. Lexi gasped at what I said. She isn’t the only one. There is a chorus of gasps, “ What?” and a few “ Dear Goddess.” I’m sure everyone is shocked. As far as I know, there has never been a wolf-vampire pairing before. And now Embrose as well. I see her other mates nod in what I can only hope is approval.

“ Smooth. I like it.” Arya says in my head. “ But will Lexi like it? Will she believe I’m telling the truth?” I asked. “ See and feel for yourself,” she said. I turned my attention back to Lexi. I swear I could feel happiness coming from her. She is walking up to me swaying her hips. Judging by the smile on her face she is doing it on purpose. One of her mates is shaking his head and looks like he is holding back from laughing. The other has his eyes clued to Lexi’s ass. Not that I blame the man. I have been blessed with that view myself.

I stay on my knee as Lexi stops in front of me. From here I get a good look at her. I let my eyes slowly work their way up her body. I can’t believe the Goddess choice this incredible creature for me. The ruthless killing machine vampire gets something this pure. She is the light leading me from the darkness that has been my world. The darkness I have been living in for over one hundred and fifty years. “ Pledging your loyalty and allegiance to me is a good start. Yet, I fear it won’t be enough.” Lexi says. The tone of her voice tells me she isn’t mad or demanding. It’s almost playful. I have to say I like it and want to hear it more.

I stay on my knees. I’m not moving until Lexi is ready to accept me. “ Are you willing to serve by my side with my other mates? Will you not only support me but help me unite all the supernaturals that will including your vampires? The keywords by my side. Can you do that?” Lexi asked. I noticed her eyes were glowing white which I have figured means Arya is up front as well. They are trying to get a read on me to see if I’m telling the truth. “ Of course, we are, old man,” Arya states.

I have nothing to hide from either of them. So I continue to look into Lexi’s eyes so they can see to my soul if they need to. “ Yes, my queen. I can. I will gladly serve by yours and your other mate's side.” I tell them. What Lexi does next surprises me. She squats down to my level so we are at eye level. Lexi places the tips of her fingers under my chin. “ What about love?” she asks. I know what she is asking. Before I can answer she asks again as if she needs to clarify “ Do you think you can love me, Val? As only a true mate can.”

I don’t hesitate in my answer. I admitted it to myself days ago. I was feeling it before I just honestly didn’t understand what it was. I have never loved anyone before. Even in my human life. So it took some time for me to figure it out. As well as help from the Vampire Goddess. “ Yes, my queen. I can love you. With everything in me. It is only you that makes my heart beat again.” I said. Lexi smiles brighter than the glow that is now surrounding the two of us. I hear more gasps. I’m sure we must be a sight to see. I don’t care my focus is solely on Lexi. I have never wanted anything more in my life. I need her to feel everything I am saying is the truth.

“ Prove it,” Lexi says as she urges me to rise with her. I’m unsure what she is asking. How can I prove it? When we have fully stood up Lexi does something completely unexpected. For me at least. She lifts her arms to wrap them around my neck. She has to get on her toes to do it so I grab her hips to keep her steady. Just holding her like this is why she feels at home. The next words out of her mouth leave me flabbergasted. “ In front of all these people, yours and mine. I want you to prove your loyalty to me,” she says. “ I will do anything to prove to you my queen,” I tell her.

“ That’s good to hear. Kiss me.” Lexi tells me. What? I take a quick look at her mates to make sure she isn’t joking. Or they aren’t going to attack if I do. They do a quick nod at me. I guess that is their way of letting me know it's okay to honor Lexi’s request. I turn back to Lexi who is looking at me with what I can only guess is expectation, concern and desire. Concern that I won’t kiss her and prove that I’m claiming her and can love her. I’m about to prove her wrong. What gets me is the desire. I have had more women than I want to admit over the years. Most wanted me for the power that came with being with me. Hoping I would make them my queen. I’m used to looks of desire because of it. The look that Lexi is giving me is different.

She doesn’t want my power. She has more than enough she doesn’t need mine. She is looking at me. Valerose the man. Not the vampire king. I have never had that before. “ Well.” Before Lexi can utter another word I remove my hands from her hips and place them on her cheeks. I lean my head down maintaining eye contact looking for any sign to stop before I slam my lips onto hers. Oh holy Goddess her lips feel amazing against mine. I take a chance and lick the seam of her lips with just the tip of my tongue. I’m pleasantly pleased when Lexi opens for me.

I slip my tongue into her mouth and meet Lexi’s tongue. She wastes no time twisting hers with mine. I feel Lexi tighten her grip on my neck and tilt her head allowing me to deepen the kiss. Kissing Lexi, my mate wipes away anyone I have kissed before. They aren’t even a distant memory. Just gone. There is nothing in the world that could compare to this. I can only imagine what fucking her is going to be like. It has to be like no one before Lexi existed. I don’t know how long we stand there kissing. Everything else has faded away. I suddenly catch a new scent in the breeze. It’s still Lexi’s but different. More enticing.

I hear someone clear their throat. “ Lexi, baby. I can smell you.” one of her mates says with a chuckle. That's when it hits me. The new smell is Lexi’s arousal. This one kiss and my Lexi is turned on by me. As much as I was enjoying the scent. I can tell her mates were as well I don’t want to share that with anyone else. Lexi pulls away first. Her face flushed. I believe some of it is from embarrassment. I see her mates have moved to stand behind her as she still faces me.

“ Lexi, honey. I think an introduction is in order.” the other mate says. Lexi gasps and jumps back from my hold. Not far but no longer in my hands. “ Oh, Goddess. Where are my manners?” Lexi grabs one of my hands and turns to her mates. “ Luther, Ryan. I want you to meet Valerose, my third and hopefully final mate,” she says smiling. Lexi points to the one on the left. He is my height yet a little broader than me across his shoulders and chest. I also noticed he had a tan even though it was still winter. “ Val, this is Luther.” Luther holds his hand out for me to shake. Not what I was expecting but I will go with it. It is like they accept me just because Lexi said I was her mate. I firmly shake his hand. Lexi points to the one on the right. This one isn’t as broad but you can tell he is still muscular.

“ This Ryan,” she says. Ryan holds his hand out as well. I shake it. “ This is what we like to see.” a whimsical voice comes from behind Ryan and Luther. We all turn to the voice to see not only the Vampire Goddess but the Moon Goddess as well standing on the platform. Every one of us instantly bow. Well, accept Lexi. She lets go of the hand she was still holding, walks up the steps to the Moon Goddess and hugs her. The Moon Goddess hugs her back and then kisses Lexi on her cheek. When they are done Lexi does the same to the Vampire Goddess.
“ Mother. Amira. Not that I’m not happy to see you, but what are you doing here?” Lexi asks. It is so strange to watch the interaction. Most would dare talk so informally to the Goddess's. Not Lexi. Well, one is her mother so I guess it is to be expected. But the Vampire Goddess? “ You didn’t think I was going to miss my daughter’s Luna ceremony did you?” The Moon Goddess answers Lexi. “ I wasn’t going to miss my son finally claiming his mate.” The Vampire Goddess said. I know the comment was directed at me even though she was facing Lexi.

“ Thank you, mother. It means a lot having you here for me.” Lexi said giving the Goddess another hug. Lexi turns to the Vampire Goddess. “ Thank you for coming, Amira,” she said. Amira smiles at Lexi. “ Oh course, my child,” she said to Lexi. The Moon Goddess looks over Lexi’s shoulder. “ Please rise my wolves,” she said. Then she looked at me, Luther and Ryan. “ Will you join us?” she asks. We don’t waste a second and we are up the stairs standing at Lexi’s side. I’m on her left. Luther and Ryan are on her right.

“ Please turn and face your guests, my dear,” Selene says. We turn as one facing everyone. Some are still looking confused as to why I’m standing up there with Lexi. They will just have to get used to it. I made my choice. I’m not leaving Lexi’s side. “ I want to thank all of you for coming and accepting my daughter as your Luna and queen. I am here tonight because not only do I approve of this union. Which includes Valerose. I want to offer my personal blessing to my daughter and her mates.” Selene says. A personal blessing from the Goddess. Holy shit. There is no higher honor.

I hear gasps and look down where everyone else is looking. I see what looks like a gold string being wrapped around Lexi, Ryan, Luther and me. “ The four of you are now tied together. Valerose will be able to mind link with the packs instead of just Lexi.” Selene states. “ Valerose, my son. I’m thrilled you have decided to be with your mate. I also bless this union. May the four of you live long happy lives as a team. I see a long future ahead. As well as children. Enjoy each other.” Amira said.

“ My wolves, thank you for following my daughter. And your loyalty towards her. With her by your side, I see many great things ahead.” Selene addressed the wolves. Amira went next. “ My vampires, I’m sorry for leaving you for so long. I plead with you to support your kings and queens. Your lives will be so much better now. I see many matings in the future. Just not in the way you may think. It will take time I know but please learn to work with the wolves. You have been enemies for too long.” she said.

Selene looks at Lexi. “ My child, enjoy your ceremony. Have fun. Don’t forget to enjoy your mates. You will need to mark Valerose soon.” she told Lexi. I watch Lexi turn red with embarrassment. It is too cute. “ Yes, mother. I will.” Lexi said. In the next second, they were gone. Lexi turns to the crowd. “ You heard Mother. Let’s party.” Lexi shouts with a smile. The crowd cheers.
