I felt Lexi last night. I don’t think she did it on purpose. I know she didn’t. I spoke to the Elders after Lexi left. They said that Lexi would have no control over her glowing and projecting as she got closer to her birthday. That is unless she is trained. I talked to Patsy and she told me that Lexi will be twenty in three weeks. So Lexi is losing what little control she had as she gets her news gifts. I walked around the back to see if she was affecting anyone else. I didn’t want my pack getting hurt or passing out again. I saw that a few were affected but it seemed to be only mated couples.

What is Lexi projecting, you ask? She is turned on. We can feel her pleasure,her excitement and if I’m not wrong nervousness. I can feel it more than the others. Razor said it is because of the mate bond. I can feel everything on a deeper level. I thought Razor would be going nuts or at least pissed that someone was touching Lexi that wasn’t us. “ I am upset it isn’t us but I’m not going to let it get to me because I know it is her other mate. Do I wish that was us turning Lexi on? Yes. I always wanted to be there for Lexi. If she accepts the rejection I’m going to lose her. If she doesn’t and you win her back then I need to understand I won’t be the only one touching her. We are going to be touching Lexi at the same time if we mark her. So no, I won't let it bother me. And neither should you. Not if you want Lexi.” he said.

All valid points. I need to get used to Luther touching Lexi. He was smart. Accepting Lexi immediately, like I should have. I have never been ashamed of anything I have ever done. Until Lexi. She made me feel ashamed of the she-wolves I have fucked in the past. And I have been fucking since I was sixteen. She made me ashamed of the way I treated her. And the way I talked to my dad. The funny part is the only thing she did was be there. Be around me. I watched how she talked to the Elders and my parents. Hell, anyone. She has no idea about the shifter world but treated everyone with respect and kindness I have only ever seen from the Luna's I have met.

The more I think about her, I mean really think about her. I looked past everything I just learned and looked just at Lexi as a person. Her smile when she was working. Her laugh how I wanted to hear all the time. How she didn’t care who you were, she treated you with respect. I saw Lexi when we all had lunch. Before that shit went down with Carman, Lexi was polite and talked to everyone. From the highest ranking to the lowest.

And that body. Holy fuck, the things I want to do to it. And then I think about what Razor said about sharing her. The images I came up with. The things Luther and I could do to her. It was hot as hell. I can’t wait to try them. “ You are going to have to easy with Lexi. You know that right?” Razor said. I was getting ready to go to campus to pick Lexi up. At least I hoped. I was going to ask her out to lunch. A date. I know she doesn’t have her truck today because Jesse took her to school. We have all agreed that Lexi should never be left alone.

So I was hoping I could convince Lexi to have lunch with me. Just the two of us before I brought her home. I jump in my truck and head out. Lexi will be getting out of her last class soon. Thanks to Standish we all have Lexi’s class schedule. Invading her privacy. Just a little. It was necessary. We needed to know so we would have her covered. Jackson is even wandering around the campus. “ What do you mean, I have to take it easy with Lexi?” I asked Razor.

Razor laughed, “ You know that she is a virgin,right?” I jerked when he said that almost running off the road. If it hadn’t been for my wolf reflexes I would have. “ What? How do you know this?” I screeched. I swear I could see Razor doubled over laughing. “ When Lexi was projecting yesterday so was Luther and his wolf Diesel. Just like her they didn’t know it. I used it to talk to Diesel. I didn’t know it was possible but it worked. He told me that Lexi is a virgin in every way. Luther was her first kiss. And that Lexi doesn’t want to have sex yet. She is waiting for both her mates. What you felt the other day was not sex. Lexi is not like the she-wolves you are used to. The Goddess gave you someone pure as freshly fallen snow.”

I didn’t know what to say or think. I never thought my mate would be a virgin. Even in the human world it is rare to be a virgin at her age. Not that I’m not happy she waited and is still waiting but I’m curious as to why. Was she not interested? I find it hard to believe no one was interested in Lexi.Razor broke through my thoughts “ Lexi told Luther she has always had this instinct telling her to wait. I’m guessing her wolf or the Goddess whispered to her even though she didn’t know it.” And Lexi listened. Amazing.

I pulled into the parking lot just beside Jesse’s truck. I link Jackson “ I’m here. I’m going to stay with Lexi for a while if you want to head home.” “ I will. Thanks Aiden.” he said. “ Any problems today?” I asked. I needed to know if I needed to be on the lookout for anything. “ Just some unworthy fuckers checking Lexi out. I set them straight.” Jacskson said. “ Good man.” I said.

I was out of the truck and headed towards the entrance of the science building. I was nervous and I’m never nervous. But I have never had to win back a mate before or ask anyone on a date. I see Lexi walking out with Jesse not far behind her as I get close to the door. “ Lexi, slow down. You are going to slip on some ice and get hurt.” Jesse said. He was maybe two feet behind her. “ Well, hurry up slowpoke. You promised me food and I’m starving. So let’s go. Let’s go.” Lexi laughed. She picked up her pace going down the stairs. Jesse ran in front of her and picked her up, throwing her over his shoulder causing her to squeal and giggle.

“ I’ll show you slow poke, Luna.” Jesse said. “ Put me down.” Lexi laughed. “ And why do you keep calling me Luna?” Lexi asked. “ Wishful thinking. Or holding out hope. I’m not sure.” Jesse said. “ No hush so we can go eat.I wouldn’t want you wasting away.” he said. “ If my best friend would hurry, I wouldn't waste away.” Lexi said. Jesse stopped and carefully lowered Lexi to the ground. “ I’m still your best friend?” Jesse asked. When he hurt Lexi’s feelings it hurt Jesse. He didn’t like lying to her.He was upset he had lost her trust.

“ Of course you are, silly. I was upset. Was. I get it. There were things you couldn’t tell me. I’m not going to hold a grudge. I would lose more than I gain.” Lexi said. Then she grabbed Jesse by the jacket and yanked, making Jesse almost fall into her. “ Now feed me.” Lexi laughed. I like watching them together. And I’m not jealous. I can see it is just two close friends being silly together. I don’t get to see Jesse this way much anymore. Since I started training to be Alpha and him my Beta.

I almost don’t want to interrupt them but if I’m going to take Lexi to lunch I need to do it before Jesse does. “ Hey, Lexi.” I said when I got close to them. Lexi is still smiling when she turns to see me. That’s a good sign right. She is not as pissed at me anymore. “ Hey, Aiden. I didn’t know you go here.” she said. “ I don’t. I came to see if you would like to have lunch with me? I was wondering if we could talk.” I said.
