After we got to Luther’s pack we went to his parents just like we were asked to. Lexi has been clinging to us since we left Aiden’s pack. No that isn’t right. She has been glued to our side. Figured she would with Luther since he was the one who got hurt. But she has been equally glued to me. I can feel s bit of fear coming from her. It isn’t strong. In the background but there. Even when we got to my pack. Far from Gwinn and Aiden’s pack. She has been on edge since the attack. She looks over her shoulder like she expects danger. She can’t seem to shut it off even though she is in the safety of the pack.
To help her we have an extra guard with her at all times. Even when we are with her outside the bedroom. Luther’s mom suggested it. To give Lexi an extra sense of security. Christine said the attack shook Lexi more than she was willing to admit. Luther and I are trying different things so Lexi feels safe again. Like always having our hands on her. Not always in a sexual way. Oh, trust me there has been plenty of hands-on sexually. Just a few hours ago I watched Lexi ride Luther in my office while I waited my turn. Lexi won't let Luther do anything strenuous yet so she does all the work.
Trust me, Luther is enjoying every minute of it. At least for now. I give it another day before he takes control. Two tops. Arya talked to Deisel and Stone last night while Lexi was having a fitful night's sleep. Lexi kept tossing and turning between Luther and me. She could lay still. Arya told Stone and Deisel that Lexi was reliving Luther’s attack. Arya said Lexi kept seeing the moment the vampire’s claws entered Luther’s side over and over and couldn’t get out of it. Aya to us to wrap around Lexi and hold her tight. Let her feel us. Feel our love for her.
As soon as we did Lexi was able to relax and get a decent night's sleep. Luther and I didn’t care that my arm was touching his while it was wrapped around her waist. Or that our hands touched. There was nothing sexual about it. It was all about comfort. Comforting Lexi and comforting each other. Hell, I would have held his hand if I thought it would help. Once we were sure Lexi was in a deep sleep we felt it was safe to fall asleep as well. Luther was out before I was. He looked drained even before we made it to bed. Me it took a little while longer.
I had Stone help me talk to Arya. I still haven’t figured out how to talk straight to her yet. She keeps saying she will walk Luther and me through it but things keep coming up and we haven’t had the time. You see I can communicate with our wolves in human form. When in wolf form we can talk to to other wolves, just not in human form. Our wolves can use us to talk to anyone if they want. Arya on the other hand can talk to any wolf or human no matter what form she is in. Lexi can do the same. It is one of the gifts the Goddess gave her.
Anyway, I wanted to talk with Arya about the best way to help Lexi. “ Just be there for her like you have been. Hold her tighter in her sleep. Let her see Luther healing. For fuck sake let Stone and Deisel out so we both can see that they are alright. Then let us go for a run. I want to see my mates.” she told me. I hadn’t even considered the toll all of this was taking on Arya. Diesel is her mate. She had to have felt his pain just like Lexi did. She has talked to him and knows Luther is almost healed but it isn’t enough. She needs to see Deisel with her own eyes.
She needs to check him for injuries. Smell him. Rub against every inch of him and Stone to give her some piece of mind. We have to heal the human and the wolf. Luther and I know this. We should have said something before now. Lexi doesn’t know that. I know Arya didn’t say anything to her because Lexi was too upset so Arya took a backseat. Until now. We are standing in the backyard at the tree line stripping off our clothes. Well, Luther and I are. Lexi gets the cool gift of never shedding her clothes when she shifts.
Lexi is watching us like we are her private strip show. So we made sure she enjoyed it. I could smell her arousal so I knew it is working. “ Enjoying yourself, baby?” Luther asks Lexi. Lexi looks us both up and down slowly licking her lips. “ Defiantly enjoying the extremely sexy view. I’m loving the show. I always do when you get naked for me.” Lexi giggles. “ Enough flirting with Lexi. We get it. She likes you naked. I want to see Arya. It feels like forever since I have got to run with her.” Stone grumbles. More like whines. It has only been a week since I let Stone out.
“ You see your mate every day.” Stone stated. Shit. Now I feel like an ass. “ You are. You can make it up to me by shifting,” he growled. Luther had already shifted while Stone and I were talking. Lexi is walking around Deisel dragging her fingers through his fur. When she got to the spot on Deisel’s side where Luther was hurt Lexi squatted down and parted his fur with her fingers like she was looking for scars, or any sign he wasn’t healing. I shifted as she did that. When she was satisfied she stood up. Diesel nudged her stomach with his snout and rubbed against her stomach.
Lexi giggled before walking over to Stone. “ Hey, handsome. Arya will shift in a minute. I promise. I just need you to myself for a few seconds.” she said. She rubbed her fingers through Stone’s fur like she did Deisels. When she is happy she stands and looks at us. “Let’s get you boys your mate.” In the blink of an eye, Arya’s beautiful form was standing in front of us.
