Chapter 133

Lexi

Three days. That is how long we were having sex on and off. That was how long it took my heat to end. We had a steady supply of food and drinks that I found out came from Christina. She forbid anyone to come on our floor. She has some female kitchen omegas bring a cart for each meal and made sure there were extra snacks. Christina didn’t allow any males, mated or not near our floor. Apparently even mated males lose their minds when the smell of a female is in heat. It is kind of gross. I’m going to have to do something special for Christina to thank her for all her help. By the time my heat was done Ryan, Luther, and I were exhausted and didn’t want to move. I hurt everywhere. The good hurt but still I don’t think I will be wanting sex for a while. A couple of days at least. What? We are wolves with a high sex drive. Something I discovered the day I was marked. I swear I turned into a nympho. When I said something to the guys about it they said as long as I was their nympho they were happy to serve.

As if I would be with anyone else. On day four we stayed in bed and did absolutely nothing but rest and relax. We soaked in the jacuzzi to help with our sore muscles. No sex this time. Just relaxing and enjoying each other. There was part of me that didn’t want to leave our blissful bubble but I knew we had life to get back to. My Luna ceremony was two weeks away. I still had to deal with Val. Packs to run and combine. A new packhouse to oversee the build and school. Yep, life goes on. So the next day we got up early, dressed, and went downstairs to have breakfast with everyone.

We walked into the dining room holding hands. They have been wrapped around me for days and still want to touch me. I think it is cute. When we walked in I expected jokes or wisecracks but we just got knowing smiles and winks. I went around the Alpha table where we usually sit and gave hugs to everyone before taking my seat. Ryan and Luther are getting my food. No, I don’t make them do it. They want to. The truth is they say it is faster for them to get the food while I say my hello’s. Once Luther and Ryan are seated next to me, Evan, Luther’s dad said “ I’m happy to see you boys survived Lexi’s first heat.”

I choked on my juice and started coughing. Ryan started patting me on the back to help. Luther helped me wipe up the juice from the corners of my mouth. After a minute I calmed down. Luther looked over at his dad “ Really, Dad.” “ What? I was concerned about it. I barely survived your mother's and it only lasted two days. And that was because she got pregnant with you. It took me two days to recover. I didn’t think I would ever walk the right way again.” Evan said. Luther and Ryan groaned at this. I felt my face turn red and kept my head down. Christina is giggling at our reactions. Evan looks clueless. “Dad,” Luther whines.

“ What? Evan asked. “ First no kid wants to hear about his parents' sex life. Doesn’t matter if they are human or shifter. Second, you know Lexi still isn’t used to us talking like that.” Luther said. Ryan was nodding his head in agreement. I can agree with the first part. I would never want to hear about my parents. Or my mates' parents in this case. “ Oh, Lexi. I’m sorry if I embarrassed you. I keep forgetting you aren’t used to it.” Evan said. As shifters talking about sex isn’t something that is looked down on. Same as seeing each other naked. It is humans that have an issue with it. Evan and Christine have been accepting of me from the second I walked into the door. They have even adapted a few things for me until I got used to the idea of being a wolf.

And now he was apologizing for behavior that is normal for them. I’m not having this time. I left my head and look him in the eyes so he can see how serious I am. “ Evan, you don’t have to apologize for being yourself. You wouldn’t feel the need to apologize or watch what you say if I was raised as a shifter or if there was another she-wolve sitting in my place.” Ryan and Luther growled in displeasure when I said something about another wolf sitting there. I placed a hand on their legs to calm them. “ My point is don’t stop being who you are. So I’m a little prudish and get embarrassed easily. I will get over it.” I said.

“ There was nothing prudish in what we did the past four days.” Ryan mumbled. It wasn’t low enough to not be heard by the table and caused them all to laugh. I turned bright red again. Once everyone calmed down Christina asked, “ So what are your plans for the day?” I explained that I was Tyler should be here any minute and we needed to go to Calissa’s pack. “ What for, may I ask.” Evan inquired. I told him about my talk with my mother and how she said I needed to take Tyler over there. I also told them I wanted to visit with Calissa and Henry. It has been a while.

“ I figure I will deal with Tyler first because it sounds like it is going to be fun. Then we can settle down for the hard work.” I said. " Do you think about why the Goddess said to send Tyler to Aspen Rain?" Christina asked. " No, but she was giggling so I figure it can't be bad," I said. I was about to tell them the rest of my plans and what I needed to sort out when I felt the energy in the room change. I looked around and it was like everyone was moving in slow motion. " Lexi, pay attention. It is Mother." Arya said. I look over and see Mother standing behind Evan. It looks like I am the only one who can see her because no one is reacting to the glowing Goddess. I stand up and walk over to her. Ryan and Luther make no effort to stop me. " They can't see me, child. I can't stay long but I have an important message. Things are changing fast. When you sleep tonight the Vampire Goddess, Amira and I will visit you. We will tell you everything you need to know. " Mother said as soon I was in front of her. She kissed my forehead in affection and then disappeared. She left me standing behind Evan, along with several confused glares. I shook my head. " Mother decided to show up and have a quick chat," I said making my way back to my chair.

" The Goddess was just here?" Christina asked. I took a sip of my juice and nodded my head. " Yeah, she was standing behind Evan. She couldn't stay long." I said like it was the most normal thing in the world for a Goddess to come in the packhouse and then leave before anyone noticed. " What did have to say that was so important?" Ryan asked. " Nothing that couldn't have waited until after I finished eating," I told him. When I saw that he wasn't satisfied with that answer I went on to explain. " Mother said changes were coming fast and that she and the Vampire Goddess would see me in my dreams tonight to explain," I said.

“ That’s it. Not a word on what changes?” Luther asked. “ No, honey. I’m sorry. I won’t know more until later. I know it is frustrating. But it isn’t urgent or she would have told me. Let us go see what the deal with Tyler is. Maybe grab some lunch at the diner and visit with Patsy. There is no sense in worrying until we have to. Let’s not borrow trouble.” I said. Luther went to say something else but I batted my lashes at him and did an exaggerated pout that he thought was ridiculous and always made him laugh. He knew I was right. We just had to wait.
