Chapter 163

Three Months Later

You thought you were going to get a steamy sex scene with my three mates. Sorry. The first time with the four of us is just for me. Trust me you will get one later. I give you my word that we were all definitely pleased with the outcome. Things have been going well with the four of us. Not perfect. That is never going to happen. We have had fights. Especially the guys. They don’t always get along. There is only one thing they agree on. Well, one person. Me. I have a little surprise for them today. I hope they like it. You will find out about that in a minute. Let me tell you everything that has happened in the last three months.

First thing we did after our day off was finding packs for the freed wolves to go to. A few of the Alpha’s that came to my Luna ceremony were still here. I approached them and explained what I needed and what I was trying to do. The Alpha of Mackinac Island offered his pack as well as two Wisconsin packs. We arranged tours for anyone wanting to join. In the end we got all the first set of freed wolves placed in new packs. Ten stayed with Luther and Ryan’s pack. Five went to Aden’s pack. Two found mates there. Ten ended up at Mackinac Island and three found mates. The rest ended up with the two Wisconsin packs.

With our help Val freed the rest of the wolves he took. Other packs found out what I was doing and volunteered to help the wolves. As we were getting the freed shifters settled word had spread about who I am, what I have done and what I am doing. We have been initiated with requests to meet me and my kings from around the country. And some outside the United States. Some from Canada, Europe and one from Scotland. So far. Not just from wolf shifters. We had one lion pride, a few bear shifters, a rabbit clutch, a panther pride and a dragon. That was just in the first month. I was so overwhelmed with it.

Luckily I have some wonderful people to help me. Kent got with Alpha Henry and Alpha Evan and even grandpa Nevel. They talked it out with Ryan, Luther, Val and me. We decided we needed a council of advisors to help. They talked with several Alpha’s in the area as well as the elders and created a small counsel to help guide me. We hope to add more people to it. At least one representative from each type of shifter so everyone can have a voice and be heard.

We also decided to have one big meeting at first that will be held next month. We responded to everyone that had made requests and ones that haven’t. Kent explained that they had just sent something akin to a magic email.I am interested to see how it goes. Luna Calissa and Christine have taken on the planning of the gathering. It is going to be a week-long event. I’m so glad I don’t have to deal with the planning. Not my strong suit. That’s okay though. I’m not going to be the best at everything. That’s why I surround myself with people more knowledgeable than me.

Now let me tell you about the vampires. It was an interesting mix. Some had no issues with what had happened with Val and me. That group has been trying to get used to the new way of things. No longer fighting with shifters and trying to kill them. They were making a real effort to try this new way of life. Some have even made friends with some shifters. A couple have even found mates. Then there is the other group that wants nothing to do with us. They believe in the old way. Vampires are the superior race and all others should be taken over and made to bow to them. Utter bullshit but whatever.

There is nothing we can do to change their mind. We know they are going to cause problems for us in the future. So we continue to train so if we have to fight we will. And we will win. Let me tell you about Belle and Embrose. That was funny to watch. The first week they avoided each other. The next I guess it was too much for Embrose. He didn’t like that a woman, his mate was ignoring him so he attempted to talk to Belle. Well, more like demanded her to pay attention to him and be his mate.

That went over like a lead balloon. Belle literally knocked him on his ass. I laughed so hard I couldn’t catch my breath. Val had tears running down his face. Ryan and Luther were rolling on the ground. Embrose was confused and shocked. Val, Ryan and Luther felt bad for the guy. They pulled him aside and convinced Emborse to woo his mate. I have to admit the guy put in some serious effort. Flowers, dates, trinkets he thought she would like. It took weeks but it finally worked. A month and a half after they discovered they were mated they had marked each other.

I have never seen Belle so happy. Val says the same about Embrose. He is a doting mate. I’ll give him that. Now let’s talk about today. I have a little surprise for my mates. We are in the main dining room of our new packhouse having breakfast. We make a point to have meals down here three times a week if not more. It gives us a chance to talk with everyone and catch up. We had just started eating. They guys are talking about some game they watched last night with some of our warriors.

To my right I see Kent looking at me funny. He might have figured I’m up to something. I just wink at him and he smiles. We have Evan and Christine with us as well as Belle, Embrose, Tyler and Danny. They guys are still in a heavy conversation. This is going to be fun. “ Hey my mates, I just wanted to tell you that you’re going to be dads.” I say causally before going back to eating. “ That’s great, baby.” Luther says as he continues his conversation. “ Sure.” Ryan obviously not understanding what I said. “ Good to know.” Vall said.

The rest of the table has gone silent and is staring at me. Christine’s eyes are watering but she is smiling. Even looks like he is about to jump out of his chair. Kent grabs my hand, giving it a squeeze. Belle is looking at my mates like they have lost their minds. Me, I just count lowly. “ One. Two. Three. Four. Five. Six. Seven.” Tyler looks like he is trying not to laugh. “ Eight. Nine.” “ Wait. What did you say?” Val suddenly shouts. Suddenly my three mates swing towards me. “ Did you say we are going to be dads?” Ryan gasps. “ Took you long enough.” Danny whispers.

“ Baby, is it true?” Luther asks, looking hopeful. I lean back in my chair and place my hands on my stomach. I smile at my mates and calmly reply. “ Yes.” All three jump up, knocking over their chairs, and race over to me. My chair is jerked around so that I’m facing all three of them. They get on their knees and each place a hand on my stomach. “ You have a baby in there.” Ryan says with awe. I giggle. “I take it you three are happy?” “ Are you kidding? You are having our baby. I’m ecstatic.” Luther yells. Ryan just nods, not taking his eyes off my stomach.

Val though hasn’t answered. He has his head turned like he is listening for something. The baby’s heartbeat maybe. “ Val?” I ask. He is making me nervous. Is he not happy? He leans his head a little closer to my stomach. He stays like that for a few seconds before he snaps his head back to me. I swear I see tears in his eyes. “ Not just one baby. Three. I hear three heartbeats.” he says with a giant smile. “ Triplets.” Kent gasped. Ryan and Luther put their ears to my stomach to try and listen.

“ Arya, is it true?” I ask my wolf. “ Yes, my sweet human. We have three blessed babies.” she says. “ Blessed?” I ask. “ Let mother explain.” she said. I knew I wasn’t going to get more from her. Before I can even think of asking anything else Ryan lifts his head and shouts to the entire dining room and I’m pretty sure the entire packhouse can hear “ Our Queen is making us fathers of triplets.” Shouts of congratulations can be heard from so many directions I can’t keep up. I’m pulled out of my chair by Luther who holds me so tight it is hard to breathe. “ Thank you, baby. You have given us the greatest gift possible.” he whispers.

Next are Ryan and Val. Ryan just leans his head into my neck breathing me in. He doesn’t need to say a word. I can feel his emotions through the bond. Val holds me next. Gentler than the others. He presses his forehead to mine. “ My queen, my love. Again you have made me the happiest vampire alive. You have given me things I dare not dream about.” “ Oh, Kent, Evan we are going to be grandparents.” Christina gushed.

Once Val let me go we were swarmed by well wishers. Starting with Christina.Belle was beaming when she got to me. Vowing to be the triplets favorite aunt. Tyler said he couldn’t wait to brag to Jesse how he was the first to hear about the babies. After ten minutes of talking my stomach grumbles loudly. I didn’t get to finish eating so yeah still hungry.

Ryan helps me sit,offering to get me anything I want. Luther peppers me with questions. How am I feeling? Fine. How far along am I? Two months. I got pregnant during my last heat. Since wolf pregnancies only last six months I don’t have much longer. Do I have any cravings? Not yet. Have I been to the doctor yet? Yes, I went yesterday. Just to find out I was pregnant. I wanted to tell my mates first and have them at the first ultrasound with me.

Christine asks me why I went for testing. I explained that I have been extra tired, some smells bothered me and I noticed Arya slept more. Funny thing was I didn’t even consider pregnancy an option. When my stomach rumbled again the questions stopped and they let me eat. The only people I didn’t hear from were Diesel and Stone. I began to worry.Were they not happy? Did they not want pups yet?

“ Lexi, calm down.” Arya told me. “ Arya, I’m worried. Diesel and Stone haven’t said one word to me.” I said. “ They are too busy yapping to Luther and Ryan.” she said. “ Don’t be sad. My queens, my loves, my beauties. You have made me the happiest wolf in the world. I’m sorry I didn’t say anything to you. I was howling in excitedly and talking to Luther.” Diesel spoke. “ So you’re happy?” I asked. I needed to hear him say it.

“ Happy doesn’t begin to describe what I’m feeling. I am going to get on my hind legs and thank the Goddess for the gift you both have given me.” he said. “ Aww, Diesel. You are such a sweet talker.” Arya purred. “ Stone?” I linked. “ I have no words, my queens. I feel like I’m going to explode with joy.” he said. “ Come my queen, you need rest. Let us take care of you.” Stone said to Arya. Those two are going to spoil her rotten. Even more than usual. “ As it should be.” Arya said before going off with Stone and Diesel.
