Chapter 40

Lexi

Is it a good idea to give Aiden a chance just so Razor doesn’t get hurt. “ Lexi, as much as I love the idea of spending time with you, that would be selfish of me to ask,” he said. “ That is the thing. You didn’t ask. You haven’t asked for anything. You have sat back and put your feelings aside. And it isn’t fair to you. Razor, I want to do this for you. My gut is telling me that this is right. At least I think it is my gut. Luther and the Elders have said it is probably my wolf helping to guide me. Either way I want to follow it. So what do you say?” I asked.

“ I say I’m the luckiest wolf in the world.” Razor said. When he looked at me I could see adoration and love in his eyes. I giggle “ Good, now before you give Aiden back control there is one more thing I want to do.” “ What’s that?” Razor asked. I didn’t answer, I just got up on my tip toes, wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed him. It was supposed to be just a quick kiss. That was my intention anyway. But Razor took control and slipped his tongue in my mouth. I didn’t even try to hold the moan back. The sparks went into overdrive running from the top of my head to my toes.

It may have been Aiden’s lips but the kiss was all Razor. I knew there were people around us so I didn’t let the kiss last too long. And I was going to have to explain to Luther what had happened and my decision. I just hope he understands. I pull back and smile “ Thanks for letting me do that.” “ The pleasure was all mine, my beauty.” Razor said.

“ Now the hard part. Razor I hate to see you go but I do need to talk to Aiden and tell him what I have decided. But there is something I want you to do for me. I want you to remind him every chance you get that he is getting a chance because of you.” I said giggling. “ You have got a deal,” he said. Just because I’m giving him a chance doesn’t mean it has to be easy. Oh no, Aiden was going to have to work for it.

When Aiden has control again he looks down and notices how close we are. And his eyes get big but he doesn’t say anything. I take a step back. “ Aiden, I heard what you said and I had a nice talk with Razor. Before I tell you my decision I have to tell you this. You have the sweetest, caring and selfless wolf. He has put his needs aside for you and is suffering. You owe him big time. Razor is a wonderful wolf and you are lucky to have him.” I told him.

“ I know I am.” Aiden said. At least he knows that. “ That being said. I’m going to give you a chance. But it won’t be easy. And I’m only doing it for Razor. I still think you are an ass.” I said. “ Thank you, Lexi. I promise you won’t regret it. How about I pick you up tomorrow after classes?” Aiden asked. “ Nope. I have lessons with the Elders. Shift history and protocols. Then I’m meeting Christine. You can pick me up after.” I informed him. I may be giving him a chance but I will not neglect any of my training or my time with Luther. And we already have lunch plans tomorrow before I meet with the Elders. Aiden agreed instantly and told me he would see me tomorrow leaving me to get back to training before dinner. I just hope I don’t have my time wasted.

Luther

I wanted to be pissed and jealous when I saw Lexi kissing Aiden. I know she can’t help but want to be near him because unfortunately the bond is still intact. But I didn’t think she would cave in so easily. I know I have to share lexi. I do. And I’m prepared for that. But Adien did her shitty and I don’t want to share her with him. But I also have to trust Lexi and her instincts. When she pulls back I see it isn’t entirely Aiden she was kissing. It was his wolf, Razor. I noticed the few times they have interacted that Lexi is closer to Razor than Aiden.

I tune in to what they are saying. It turns out she hasn’t forgiven Aiden at all. She is going on a date with him but it is for Razor not Aiden. I feel if she could separate the two she would. Lexi feels like Razor has been giving up so much because his human is an ass. She thinks Razor got a shitty deal. I tend to agree with her. The one time I met him it seemed like he was a good wolf. I think he and Diesel would get along.

When Lexi was done talking to Aiden letting him know that she would go on a date with him tomorrow evening. I like that she was making him wait and not taking away from our time together. She also told Aiden she was only doing this for Razor. When Aiden left Lexi finished up her training for the day. The rest of the day Elder Ross had Lexi projecting out her glow. We still don’t know what else to call it so we are just going with that. I can see Lexi is nervous. Last time she practiced she did it with grandpa. She was scared that she was going to hurt him so they had her projecting the calming glow into him. When they were done grandpa was smiling and told Lexi he had never been more relaxed in his life when Lexi asked if he was hurt. And he did look relaxed.

Today they were working on projecting her anger. Sounds like a bad idea right? I thought so. But the Elder assured me it was fine. And needed. They want her to project her emotions out when this war comes. They believe it will help. Send anger out to rile up our fighters. Send out calming for the injured or scared. And we hadn’t even tapped into her other emotions. I was there as back up in case it got out of hand I could Alpha command anyone to stand down. She was projecting on Freya and Scott. Their job was to try to resist.

Freya and Scott did well for the first few minutes. They were able to resist. Then Ross had Lexi push harder and I could see them reacting. And they weren’t the only ones. I noticed other warriors around us were feeling it too. I saw the warriors getting more aggressive as they trained. I watched Freya and Scott growl and their eyes change. They looked like they were ready to attack anyone who came close. Dean and Ross were standing beside them not looking much better. And neither was I. Diesel was close to the surface ready to charge.

Something caught Freya’s eye and she took off. I was ready to go after her but we were all blasted with a sudden and strong wave of calm. Once everyone was calmed Ross came over and told Lexi that she had done a great job. You could tell it had taken a toll on her. A little physical and a lot emotionally. This is the part of the training that Lexi hates. She hates making people feel what she feels or being able to control them.When she is dismissed Lexi looks at me and says “ Luther, I need a shower.” I nod and lead her to my room.

When she stays over this is where she sleeps. With me. We haven’t slept apart since our first night. We tried. Once. Lexi, Diesel and I didn’t like it. I raced over to her house three hours after she left. When we got to my room Lexi headed to the adjoining bathroom. Lexi got to the door and looked over her shoulder. She looked me up and down. “ You could use one yourself.” she said then winked at me before taking her sports bra off.

I shredded my shorts and shirt getting out of them. I would get more. I wasn’t wasting a second with an invitation like that. By the time I got to the glass shower door Lexi was already under the four shower heads I have. Her back is facing me. Her head was laid back, water dripping over her hair and down her back. I traced the path the water made with my eyes. The way the water slid from her back over her ripe ass that I want to reach down and take a bite of. I follow the water drops down her toned legs.

This is the first time I’m seeing Lexi completely naked. And fuck she is making my dick jump up and slap against my lower belly. Diesel and I are anxious to mate with Lexi. I want my mark on her neck for all the world to see. I want my scent all over her body. “ I want my paws on her wolf. I bet she is going to be as beautiful as mate.” Diesel growled. “ I bet she is, buddy.” I said. I want so bad for Lexi to turn around so I can see the rest of her.
