Chapter 113

Ryan

Getting pampered by Lexi was nice but not something I thought I needed. That was until I got it. It was nice to have someone take care of me for once. I wouldn’t ask Lexi to do it often or at all. All my life I have always had to put my pack first. I knew I was going to take over one day and trained with my dad from the time I was fourteen. But even before that I put my pack before anything else. Don’t get me wrong I wouldn’t change it for anything inn the world. I love being the Alpha. But it was nice to be put first for once. I never thought about it before but I guess that is what mates are supposed to do. I know my dad did it for my mom all the time.

I don’t recall her doing anything for my dad though. Just another way to prove how much of a bitch she is. It was all about power and what someone could do for her. I’m not going there and it will piss me off. I have other things that need my attention. Like my sweet mate for instance. We are in the backyard getting ready to go for a run. I guess Patty got the word out that she was going to run with Arya because we are surrounded by pups. I swear every pup in the pack under the age is fifteen is here with thier parents.

The older kids are a little further back looking around in curiosity. Most of the kids that are bouncing with excitement can’t even shift yet. We don’t usually have our first shift when we turn thirteen. Some earlier,some later but thirteen is the general age. That being said I’m not entirely sure what Lexi is up to. The fun is waiting to see. “ Is it true?” a teen boy to my side asked. I turn to look at the kid. I don’t remember his name. I bet Lexi does. She knows the names of most of mine and Luther’s pack if not all. “ Is what true?” Luther asks the kid. The kid points to Lexi “ That the Luna is going to let anyone who wants to run with her? Whether they can shift or not.”

I nod “ She is.” “ So cool.” the kid whispers. We don’t get a chance to say anything else. “ Alright, my pups. Are you ready?” Lexi calls out from a few feet away from us. “ Yes.” all the little once call out making the grown-ups laugh. “ Good. Now remember once I shift you ccan come up two at a time to meet Arya.” Lexi said. Okay, I didn’t expect that but it is a good idea. Letting all the kids get to know Arya by scent and sight as well as letting Arya know their scent.

That way they can always identify each other. Luther and I need to do that as well. It will make it easier to know if we have an intruder. I don’t know why I never thought about it before. “ Here we go. Arya do your thing.” Lexi said as she leans forward. The next second Lexi had a bright white light surround her in the next second it was gone and Arya replaced Lexi. “Wow, ooh and awws.” followed from the pups. I can’t blame them. I have seen Lexi shift a few times since the first time and I’m still amazed.

Arya laid down and made herself look as least intimidating as possible. Arya is the same size as an Alpha wolf and you can feel the power coming off her telling you she can be dangerous. Deadly even. I know she doesn’t want to scare the pups. Two by two the pups went to Arya. Most reached up to pet her. Arya rubbed her snout against each pup making them giggle. It was contagious. Arya even laid on her side so the pups could rub her belly. “ She looks so good with the pups. She is going to be a wonderful mother one day.” Stone said. “ I have to agree.” said Deisel. “ Is it wrong of me to think that her playing with the pups is a little sexy?” Luther asked.

“ If it is I don’t want to be right.” I chuckled. “ Thank you my mates.” Arya said. “ I can’t wait for us to have pups. Look at them they are adorable.” Lexi giggled. “ Mommy, papa. The new Luna is so nice. I like her.” a little boy about six maybe said. “ Thank you, little one. I like you too.” Arya said. Everyone gasped because we all heard her. And she isn’t linked to the pack yet. Arya/Lexi shouldn’t be able to do that. Arya explained to us it is a gift. “ You can talk to us?” Patty asked. “ Yes, my pups I can. The Goddess gave me this gift to talk to anyone I wish. And you my sweet pups I wanted to share it with.” Arya said.

I swear every kid here stood a little taller and smiled brighter when they heard that. “ Are you ready to run?” Arya asked. A chorus of “ Yes’s” went out. Arya stood up and looked around. When she saw the kids standing behind her ready to go she let out what I can only describe as a happy howl. The kids all did the same. Then they were off. Luther and I stripped quickly and shifted. Arya was going at a snails pace compared to what she could do. She kept her head constantly moving keeping an eye on the kids following her. If a kid fell back or had trouble keeping up Arya would go to the kid’s side and run along with them.

Everyone was watching every move Arya made. I know they were keeping a critical eye on her to see if she was going to be anything like my mom. But every move Lexi/Arya made I could see her wining over the pack. I’m sure there are some that think Lexi is putting on an act but I know differently. What they are seeing is who Lexi is. The sweetest, caring person I know. And there isn’t a day that goes by that Lexi doesn’t do something that makes me want to thank the Goddess for choosing me to be on of Lexi’s mates. “ You and me both. She is worth the wait. I’m happy our first mate rejected us.” Stone said. I agree with him.

We didn’t run far, pretty much just around the backyard and for only about fifteen minutes. Arya headed back to the packhouse when she noticed several of the young kids were getting tired. I didn’t mind sharing Lexi with the pack but I was ready to get her to myself. During our run Stone and Diesel were projecting pictures. One of Lexi rocking a new pup in her arms, smiling down at it. Another with a pup riding on Luthers back while Lexi and Stone run beside them. And another with Arya curled around an infant. Me chasing around a giggling pup in the backyard. That is the future we all want. And I aim to have it.

I know we aren’t planning on having pups too soon but noone said we couldn’t get in some practice. “ Yes, we need lots of pup making practice. I recommend several times a day.” Stone laughs. If we weren’t so busy I would go along with his idea. Keep Lexi locked in our room for a day or two making sure there isn’t a spot of her body I haven’t mapped out with my tongue. We may not be able to do that but I get her naked often as possible. “ Yes, we need Lexi naked.” Deisel said. Horny wolves. But I do like the way they think.

When we got to the packhouse we all shifted back and gotr dressed. Lexi was smiling when she shifted. “ Parents, thank you for giving me the honor of running with your pups. You trusted me with your most precious gift. That is something I don’t take lightly.” Lexi bows to them giving them high respect. “ Pups, Arya and I thank you for spending time with us. Arya was very happy to meet all of you. And we hope you can run with us again sometime. With your parents permission, of course. Now I bet if we go to the kitchen and ask nicely we might be able to have a snack.” Lexi said to the pups. They all took off to the kitchen.

Lexi watches them go. Luther wraps his arms around her waist from behind. He places his chin on her shoulder. “ You did good with them.” he told her. “ How could I not. Don’t you see how cute they are? And sweet.” Lexi said looking over her shoulder. She looks back at the kids and parents “ One day that is going to be us.” she said learning into Luther. “ One day, it will be.” I agree with her.
