Chapter 143 Full Health in One Second, Shocking Two Golden Bosses!

Thanks to the Bloodthirst Necklace, which restored 1% of max health with each hit, Alan didn't need to worry about the damage he dealt with. Even if he only did 100 points of damage, he'd still get back 1% of his max health.

With over seven million health, one arrow could heal him for seventy thousand points. Five arrows? That's three hundred fifty thousand health points.

Add in his lifesteal ability, and those five arrows could heal him for four hundred thousand points.

"Stop him!" Derek shouted, noticing Alan's lifesteal. His eyes widened in alarm.

General Ryan charged forward. "Wolf Howl Shock!" he yelled, sending a wave of energy at Alan.

Alan felt dizzy and stiffened up, but he broke free in just 0.3 seconds.

"No way!" General Ryan's eyes narrowed in disbelief. He said, "How can your resistance be that strong?"

It wasn't Alan's resilience; it was his Purification Amulet. With an 80% control reduction, now boosted to 90%, it was a game-changer. Ryan's control move, which should've lasted nearly three seconds, barely affected Alan.

"Chain control," Derek commanded, waving his staff.

Alan felt like a mountain had landed on him, and dirt wrapped around his legs, holding him for 0.6 seconds which was twice as long as Ryan's move.

Before Alan could break free, Ryan's wooden sword sent him flying. In mid-air, Ryan showed off a textbook warrior combo; launch, cross slash to knock back, then a three-stage slash to cause stiffness. The three-stage slash was the limit; any more, and Alan would break free.

Ryan yelled, "Earth Dragon Impact!"

Ryan hit Alan again, keeping him airborne and dealing over eighty thousand damage. Ryan sneered, following up with a straight stab, chain slash, and a tricky crescent slash to keep Alan in the air.

The soldiers below watched as both Alan and Ryan fought mid-air. Despite Alan's recovery and the Bloodthirst Dragon Armor's healing, he couldn't withstand the relentless attacks from Ryan and Derek. In less than ten seconds, Alan lost nearly a million health points.

To keep their aerial advantage, Ryan and Derek avoided big moves. Alan's defenses were so low that the damage was almost like true damage.

Derek chanted, "Earth Pulse!"

Derek hit Alan with another Earth Pulse, keeping him in check. But Lindataria was struggling.

While General Ryan and Derek were busy with Alan, two level 100 golden bosses with second job advancements emerged from the demon cave, leading the Nightwalker army in a rampage.

City Lord Frank watched the aerial battle. In ten seconds, they had only taken one-seventh of Alan's health. To kill Alan, it would take seventy seconds. But in those seventy seconds, the two level 100 Nightwalkers could kill plenty of city guards.

Ulysses supported the city guards, but it wasn't enough. Assassins had high burst damage, but they couldn't match mages and warriors in large-scale killing power. The core issue was that assassins had too few area-of-effect skills.

Alan wasn't in a rush. He had a solid combo and purification, besides, he was just toying with these NPCs.

Why?

He wanted to trigger the national war!

If he killed these three level 100 golden bosses directly, the national war might be delayed. Losing a million health in ten seconds, he could wait a bit longer.

One minute later, Alan had lost six million health, and in just ten more seconds, he would be killed. General Ryan and Derek were excited. After all this effort, they were finally about to kill Alan.

But then Alan did something that left them stunned.

Purification! Space Flicker! He shot five arrows at the city guards below, a hundred arrows in one second! In less than a second, Alan's health was fully restored.

Derek and General Ryan were shocked. They had worked hard for a minute, and Alan was back to full health?

"This is too insulting!" General Ryan roared in anger.

He charged at Alan again. Alan kept pulling and pushing, and finally, under the combined attack of General Ryan and Derek, they managed to control Alan again with a combo.

However, they once again demonstrated a textbook-level chain control. If they were at the same level, they wouldn't be able to control Alan continuously. Control duration was also suppressed by level and quality.

A level 10 mage's control skill might have a panel value of one second, but if this control skill was used on a level 100 golden boss, the control duration might only be 0.1 seconds or even lower. This wasn't resilience but level and quality suppression.

As for quality, a player who had undergone a first job advancement could have improved in quality. Wild monsters were classified as normal, elite, black iron, bronze, silver, gold, and platinum.

When players started at level 1, they were considered elite because they could equip themselves with a gear.

A level 1 player, even without a weapon, had higher attribute values than a level 1 Red Eye Rabbit.

If equipped, the player's attributes could be several times higher than those of a same-level normal wild monster.

This was why, in Ragnarok, players could fight solo with same-level normal wild monsters and even go solo against higher-level ones.

Initially, players were elite. With talent awakening, they were equivalent to black iron. A first job advancement was equivalent to bronze, and so on.

Of course, this was just a rough quality classification and only partially accurate, based on expert analysis from the previous life. However, one thing was certain. Lower-level controls on higher levels would be weakened.

Conversely, if a level 100 controlled a level 1, even if the control skill only lasted one second, it might actually control the level 1 player for three seconds, or even five seconds!
