Chapter 193 The Grand Mage of Ice and Fire!
Alan found himself back at the Footprints of the Snow Corpse.
His goal was simple; he wanted to stack his life points to ten million before moving on.
But when he got there, he was in for a shock.
The snow was gone, replaced by cracks of magma everywhere.
As he moved forward, he noticed the village had vanished.
'Okay, it's normal for the beginner village to reset, but what the heck happened here?'he wondered.
Alan kept going until he reached the Hall of Glory.
It was completely trashed. The statue of the Lord of the Hall of Glory lay shattered in pieces on the ground.
What had gone down here since he left?
When he reached the spot where he had killed the remnant soul of the Snow Goddess, his face changed. Because the seal of the Snow Goddess was broken, and beneath it, he saw five crystal coffins.
In the first coffin was a giant woman's head, the size of a millstone. Even through the crystal, her extraordinary beauty was clear.
The second and third coffins each contained an arm.
The fourth, the largest and most central, held the main body.
The fifth contained the right leg.
"Didn't expect the Snow Goddess to be dismembered and sealed here. How tragic," Alan sighed. It also confirmed the power of the gods. Even dismembered and sealed, she could still gather a remnant soul.
"No left leg?" Alan noticed something odd. The Snow Goddess had no left leg.
"Could she have been a cripple?" Alan's expression was somewhat peculiar. Of course, he didn't really believe that.
Moreover, the broken seal meant someone had been here.
Alan murmured, "Someone probably took the left leg."
A chilling glint sparked in Alan's eyes;someone was about to stir up trouble.
He didn't think who would go through the trouble of taking the left leg just for a fetish. There had to be a plot.
What could be done with a god's left leg?
"Divine Power!" Alan's pupils shrank. If someone could harness divine power like he could...
Holding a god's left leg filled with divine power, what would happen?
At least in Stellaria, that person would be invincible.
The Footprints of the Snow Corpse dungeon was usually reserved for the King of Stellaria.
Not everyone had a Royal Portal, such a divine piece of equipment.
The Royal Portal was considered very powerful among divine equipment.
The true Royal Portal could traverse time and space. The one Alan had was weakened, only able to traverse space, but still very powerful.
So, the one who took the Snow Goddess's left leg was almost certainly the current King of Stellaria, Leona.
What would she do with it?
"Counterattack!" Alan could almost see it.
Leona could use the divine power in the Snow Goddess's left leg to suppress the strong in the demon cave, sweeping all the way through.
"Not good!" Alan's face twisted in alarm. If Leona killed the leader in the black robe, the task he had painstakingly obtained to receive the gods' blessings would be lost.
He quickly opened the Royal Portal and stepped out, arriving outside Lindataria.
As soon as Alan got there, he saw countless ice spikes bombarding the city.
The night walkers in Lindataria were getting wrecked by the divine power and couldn't put up any real fight.
Alan scanned the scene and spotted Leona.
She held a staff in one hand and an iron chain in the other.
The chain extended out, binding a crystal coffin.
Inside the coffin was none other than the Snow Goddess's left leg.
Without hesitation, Alan launched a barrage of arrows at Leona.
Leona sensed the attack and looked up at him.
"Ice King, you finally showed up," she sneered, summoning shields to block his arrows.
Each shield could take two of Alan's arrows before shattering.
"The damage limit of one shield is about a million," Alan muttered, not caring. He kept increasing his output, trying to pin Leona down.
But then he was dumbfounded; Leona's attack on Lindataria didn't stop.
"She can fight me and still attack Lindataria? How is that possible?" Alan muttered as he knew Ragnarok's combat power well.
Even if Leona was a platinum-level mage with three job changes, it shouldn't be possible for her to handle both him and the city at the same time.
Unless she had reached the terrifying level of four job changes!
In Stellaria, the limit was two job changes. Three job changes were already rare, with only the former King Rex, Andrew, Zachary, and a few others reaching that level.
Alan was stunned. 'How could someone reach four job changes? It's simply unreasonable.'
But he had no time to ponder. He couldn't let Leona destroy Lindataria.
"Divine Whip!" Alan turned into a shadow and rushed forward.
Leona saw this and sneered. "Overestimating yourself. Do you think you can fight me just because you're immune to ice damage?"
She dropped the iron chain, and a new staff appeared in her hand. It was filled with fire attributes.
Alan's face changed slightly as he realized something.
Before he could fully grasp it, flames erupted under his feet, enveloping him.
He dodged to the side, avoiding Leona's attack. "Ice and Fire Archmage! You stayed in the beginner village to absorb Lysandra's source power, breaking the limit of three job changes and entering the realm of four job changes."
He had wondered why someone like Leona stayed in the beginner village.
Now, seeing her attack, he had his answer.
"Ice King, you're very smart. I didn't want to be your enemy, but Zachary and Lorenr gave you the task of becoming the King of Stellaria," Leona spoke slowly. "With your temperament, you would never give up the temptation of two blessings of the gods, so we are destined to be on opposite sides."
Alan's expression was indifferent. "There's no point in talking now. Since we've decided to fight, then let's fight!"
With that, Alan didn't retreat. He held the Divine Whip and rushed forward again. "A four-job-change Ice and Fire Archmage, let's see how strong you really are!"
