Chapter 80 Ancient Kingdom, Resting Here

The deceleration attribute didn't work here, but if used outside, it would definitely be a powerful weapon against enemies.

Slowing either attack speed or movement speed was already strong; reducing both was truly overpowered.

Especially for some warrior classes, whose attack and movement speeds were already slow. Knock their speed down by twenty percent, they'd be sitting ducks.

The same went for wild monsters.

However, it didn't say if it hit automatically. It can probably be cleansed.

But it didn't matter!

Normal attacks could trigger it. As long as Alan kept attacking, cleansing wouldn’t matter.

Alan snapped back to realit

There was a knock on Amanda’s door, followed by an old voice from outside.

"Amanda, is that adventurer here?"

"Yes, Chief."

Amanda opened the door, revealing a short, gray-haired old man outside.

[Chief Terry: ???]

[Health: ???]

[Attack: ???]

[Skills: ???]

All question marks.

Seeing this made Alan's scalp tingle.

"Brave adventurer, thank you so much, but just killing those snow wolves is far from enough."

"This place used to be peaceful, but ever since a deity passed through, it’s been snowing heavily for six months."

"Since then, this place has been covered in snow for half the year, and monsters appear with the snow."

Alan knew he had triggered a dungeon storyline quest.

"Chief, is there anything I can do to help?" Alan asked.

"We all hope this place can return to how it was. If you can destroy the traces left by the snow corpses and bring peace back to our village, we will offer our most precious items," Chief Terry said.

[Terry has issued a quest. Do you accept?]

[Quest Objective: Destroy the traces of the snow corpses and bring peace to the village.]

[Quest Penalty: None.]

[Quest Reward: Weapon Evolution Scroll +1.]

Alan's eyes lit up!

A Weapon Evolution Scroll was definitely a valuable item because it could evolve a weapon.

Imagine if the Code of Life and Death evolved ; what changes would its attributes undergo?

Just thinking about it made Alan uncontrollably excited.

After all, these were unexpected surprises for him.

"Please rest assured, Chief, I will do my best."

Upon hearing this, Terry's face showed a satisfied smile.

"Brave adventurer, good luck."

Alan nodded and walked out of Amanda's house.

"In that case, I'll leave."

Alan continued his journey.

As he walked through the village, many people watched him through their windows.

But no one came out.

They all just watched from afar, as if afraid more monsters would appear.

Heading forward, he found himself surrounded by an endless expanse of snow.

Suddenly, Alan kicked something underfoot. He kicked away the surrounding snow and saw a stone tablet.

Alan brushed off the snow on the tablet and read the words on it.

"Ancient Kingdom, Resting Here."

The simple sentence made Alan think of many things.

The players from Jinse Empire should have arrived in this kingdom upon entering Ragnarok.

For some reason unknown, this ancient country from their culture was resting here.

It was this allure that had drawn players from the Jinse Empire into the mysterious world of Stellaria.

Alan pressed onward.

He felt a sense of oppression, as if some force was pressing on his heart, making it race.

'This is divine intimidation!'

Even in his previous life, Alan had rarely felt divine intimidation, but now he was feeling it in this dungeon.

[You are affected by divine intimidation, all attributes decreased by ten percent.]

Suddenly, Alan's expression changed.

His Purification, once a beacon of protection, now  had developed cracks.

In an instant, Alan secured the Purification Amulet.

[Purification Amulet: Special Equipment.]

[Requirements: Can be worn by the person it is actively transferred to. Cannot be dropped, taken, or worn by anyone not actively given it.]

[Effect: Immune to eighty percent of control, deceleration, curses, poison, burning, freezing, paralysis, and other negative buffs.]

[Durability: 80.]

Alan's reacted quickly, but the amulet's durability had still dropped by twenty points.

This piece of special equipment was supposed hard to damage.

Yet, the divine intimidation had damaged the it.

[You are affected by divine intimidation, all attributes decreased by an additional fifty percent.]

[You are affected by the snow. Movement speed and attack speed decreased by an additional twenty-five percent.]

Alan gasped.

Without the Purification Amulet, his attributes were taking a huge hit.

His original attack speed of 6.73 had now dropped to 1.68.

'Fuck!'

A seventy-five percent attribute decrease from divine intimidation was insane.

Alan felt his scalp tingle; his movement speed and health were also greatly affected.

In other words, his damage output would be significantly reduced.

This was terrifying.

The dungeon's difficulty was already extreme, and now he was under such severe effects.

'It seems things were too smooth before, giving me false confidence. This dungeon's hell-level difficulty is scarier than I imagined,' Alan thought.

Despite the divine intimidation, Alan pressed on.

Suddenly, he sensed movement under the snow.

Before he could react, a giant snow serpent burst out, its jaws wide open, lunging at Alan.

Alan rolled away immediately, simultaneously firing an arrow.

[Snow Serpent (Bronze): 50.]

[Health: 30,000,000/30,000,000.]

[Attack: 10,010.]

[Skills: ???]

A bronze boss!

And a serpent!

Everyone knows serpents are slippery, making them difficult to knock  into the air.

If his attack speed wasn't affected, Alan could manage.

But with his attack speed down to1.68, it would be nearly impossible.

Alan had 380 free attribute points. If he put them all into attack speed, it would reach 12.15.

But that's the unaffected attack speed.

After a seventy-five percent reduction, it would drop to 3.03.

Still very low.

But if he controlled his attack rhythm well, it wasn't entirely impossible to achieve an infinite knock-up.

After a brief thought, Alan allocated all 380 free attribute points to attack speed.

This raised it to 12.15, effectively 3.03 with the debuff.

Alan kept maneuvering, using his Twisting String Arrow Technique continuously.

[-11,023.]

[-11,024.]

Due to the fifty percent decrease in all attributes, Alan's damage output had also decreased significantly.
