Chapter 169 The Guardian Tower!

Alan grinned. He advised, "Don't get too cocky. Stellaria's got plenty of hidden experts, so watch your back."

He added, "James, I didn't snag you any free attribute points. Got any thoughts on that?"

James shook his head. He replied, "Nah, Alan. I want all my free points to go to Robert. With his stats boosted, my health and resistance will skyrocket."

Alan nodded approvingly. He praised, "Good thinking. What you need is more speed, counter damage, and control skills. Dump all your free points into speed. And after this mission, switch to a god-level hidden class."

James's eyes widened. He gasped, "A god-level hidden class?!"

Alan smirked. He explained, "Yep. One of the rewards from the Black Robe Leader is a god-level hidden class transfer scroll for shield warriors."

James got excited. He exclaimed, "Awesome! If I switch to a god-level class, I'll be unstoppable."

Robert stayed quiet, feeling grateful for the free attribute points.

Alan turned to Robert. He mentioned, "Robert, the only class that suits you is a super high-level hidden class, and we can't get it yet."

"Super high-level?" Robert asked and looked a bit uninterested.

If he had just started the game, he'd be thrilled about a super high-level hidden class.

But now... it was just okay.

Alan noticed Robert's thoughts and smiled. He pointed out, "Actually, Robert, your biggest issue is that your magic power and magic penetration are going to waste. You should switch to a class that combines magic and physical skills."

Robert nodded in agreement. He said, "I agree. Combining magic and physical skills sounds exciting."

Alan said, "Let's move. Next stop is Lone Wind City. I took down Flora City, and there'll probably be experts blocking us in Lone Wind City. I'll need your help."

James grinned. He said confidently, "No problem. Anyone who tries to stop us is toast."

Alan led James and Robert towards Lone Wind City, but before they got far, someone blocked Alan's path.

It was Ashley. She asked, "Ice King, do we really have to go this far?"

"What? I didn't finish you off last time, and now you dare show up again?" Alan sneered.

Ashley sighed. She remarked, "Ice King, I didn't want it to come to this, but you've gone too far."

Alan shrugged. He urged her, "Bring them all out. You alone can't stop me."

Andrew stepped out, holding a beginner's wooden sword.

Lisa stepped out too.

Not just them, but Matthew and several other level 100+ golden generals.

All of them had beginner's equipment.

Alan complimented, "Beginner's gear, indestructible. Smart move."

Alan wasn't surprised. He had shattered Ashley's platinum shield in two hits before, so it made sense for them to be cautious.

"So many of you, just to take me down?" Alan asked, amused.

"Pretty much," Ashley nodded. She informed, "The king said, no lineup is too much to deal with you."

As she spoke, a light blue small tower appeared in her palm.

Seeing the small tower, Alan squinted slightly.

"Looks like you're really pulling out all the stops, even bringing the Guardian's Tower," Alan said, eyeing the small tower.

The Guardian's Tower was a special device designed to trap powerful opponents. It could lock both the enemy and the user inside, restricting the battlefield and space.

Usually, the enemy was alone, while the defenders could be multiple people. To escape, you had to kill the tower's guardian, as the tower itself was nearly indestructible.

Alan took a deep breath, a cold glint in his eyes. He knew there was no escaping this.

"Robert, James, I might be stuck here for a bit, but their experts will be trapped too," Alan said.

"So, you want us to attack the city?" they asked.

"Exactly. With their experts here, no one but Stellaria's king can stop you," Alan replied.

"Got it," they said.

Alan didn't actually expect them to succeed in taking the city. He needed Robert and James to experience high-intensity battles to better utilize their combat awareness and power.

Later, there would be a comprehensive combat power ranking based on their attributes. Besides numerical combat power, there was also practical combat power. Most people's practical combat power was lower than their comprehensive combat power.

For example, if someone's comprehensive combat power was 100, their practical combat power might only be 75. The goal was to maximize their combat power.

Some skilled people, with a comprehensive combat power of 100, could achieve 120 or even higher practical combat power, allowing them to defeat stronger opponents.

James and Robert's attribute panels were already impressive, but they lacked high-intensity combat experience. There was no shortcut for this; they needed to go through more high-intensity battles.

"Just the two of them? Not enough," Andrew sneered.

Alan didn't respond but looked at Ashley.

"Let's begin!" Ashley yelled as she activated the Guardian's Tower, quickly trapping Alan, Andrew, and Matthew inside.

Inside the Guardian's Tower was a dense forest. This was the power of the Guardian's Tower, able to simulate various battle scenes to target the enemy.

Having archers in a forest would have their vision and attacks easily blocked. The forest also provided good hiding spots, with Alan in the open while the others were in the dark, allowing for endless ambushes.

Alan knew today would be troublesome, but he wasn't worried. Since they wanted to play, he would play along.

Alan immediately took out the Book of Life and Death, writing down Ashley's name. Although prioritizing killing Ashley wouldn't let him leave the Guardian's Tower directly, it would make the tower lose control, reducing the chances of being targeted.

Alan's feet exploded with power as he dodged, spotting a golden mage. This must be Derek's brother, Kyle Hernandez.

"Your brother died by my hand, and today, you will too," Alan said.
