Alan feigned intrigue, saying, "That sounds pretty good."
"Wait." Alan looked at Barbara. "When can you fulfill this promise?"
"When Princess Lisa ascends to become the new king," Barbara replied.
Alan shook his head without hesitation. "According to what you're saying, I have no idea how long that will take."
Hearing this, Barbara pondered for a moment. "Leona is the ultimate reward. As long as you help this time, I can reward you with a set of bronze-level equipment suitable for an archer."
"That's it? I can totally grind for that myself."

"Two hundred."

Barbara's face darkened. "Fine, then there's nothing to discuss. I'll send you to the Revival Altar for a bath."
With that, an extremely terrifying aura erupted from Barbara.
Alan's first reaction was to put away his equipment and then smile at Barbara.
"We can resolve this through dialogue. No need for violence."
"So you're agreeing?" Barbara asked.
Alan shook his head. "No, what I mean is three hundred free attribute points, not one less."
"You're courting death!" Barbara's gaze was as sharp as a knife, staring at Alan like a demon ready to devour him.
Alan showed no fear and coldly stared back at Barbara.
"You can kill me, but if I die here, I guarantee that the Queen's dealings with the Netherworld clan will reverberate across Stellaria."
Upon hearing this, Barbara's expression changed dramatically. Her aura didn't recede; instead, it became even colder.
"No one will believe the words of a criminal like you."
Alan shrugged indifferently. "I don't know. Anyway, I don't lack gold coins. I can make it echo three times a day."
"Aren't you afraid of being permanently imprisoned?" Barbara shouted angrily.
"Do you dare?" Alan disdainfully pushed Barbara away. "I haven't killed anyone in Central City. Such slander would merely warrant my detainment for a few days at most."
"But if the King hears it, I wonder what will happen to your Queen."
"And if I'm not mistaken, it was your Queen who sent Silver Commander Otis to kill me, right?"
At this point, Alan changed the subject.
"If it weren't for the Silver Commander's issue, I could agree to even a hundred free attribute points, let alone one hundred fifty."
"But because of the Silver Commander, three hundred free attribute points, not one less!"

"Leona, you're finally here."

Alan didn't hide anything. "Where's my reward for helping you kill Grelorin?"
"First, tell me what Barbara wanted from you just now," Leona said.
"Not giving it to me? Then I'll go tell the King that you collaborated with a notorious criminal like me to kill Grelorin."
Leona's face darkened. "I've never seen someone as shameless as you!"
Alan grinned. "Hand it over."
Leona took out a scroll, a skill book, and a rune.
"Just this?"
"I carefully selected these; they are very suitable for you," Leona said, annoyed.

Alan's eyes lit up.
