Chapter 195 Defeating Leona!
Leona had just heard the big news about the God of the Undead getting taken down.
Even with the name hidden, she knew there was only one person in Stellaria who could pull that off—the Ice King.
In their last fight, Leona felt Alan's overwhelming power, making her lose the will to keep going.
"Want to negotiate again?" Alan chuckled. "Ridiculous! How you always want to chat after a fight."
Leona blurted out, "Only after a fight do we know how to negotiate."
Alan looked at her, intrigued. "Alright, tell me, how do you plan to negotiate?"
"You name the terms, but I don't have blessings from the gods," Leona replied.
A cold glint flashed in Alan's eyes. "I gave you a chance to negotiate before, but you blew it. Today, one of us dies."
With that, Alan summoned the Guardian Tower. "Come on, as a first-tier archer, I'll test the strength of you, a fourth-tier grand mage."
The Guardian Tower expanded, enveloping both Alan and Leona.
"Ice King, do you really want to push things to the point of no return?" Leona's face was grim, and Alan could feel her anger.
But Alan didn't care. "I don't know if you got the message I asked Ashley to deliver. I can help you become the king of Stellaria and I can take you down."
Leona knew there was no room for negotiation today.
One of them had to fall.
It was laughable.
Compared to Alan, she only had one chance.
If Alan fell, he could resurrect.
But her? If she fell, she wouldn't get another chance.
At this point, words were useless.
"Come on, I want to see if the Ice King is truly invincible. If killing you once doesn't work, I'll kill you ten times. If ten times doesn't work, then a hundred times, until you're afraid," Leona said.
Alan chuckled. "Alright, I look forward to you killing me."
With that, Alan raised his hand and unleashed a barrage of arrows.
Leona's ice shield blocked all of Alan's arrows.
At the same time, the surrounding temperature kept rising.
"Flame Burst: Boil!" Leona held an ice shield in one hand while releasing a fire skill with the other.
[-3.]
[-6.]
[-9.]
Under the scorching temperature, Alan began to lose health continuously.
However, it was very low.
The purification amulet reduced the damage by ninety percent, but the damage was indeedlow.
Alan quickly realized the problem.
As the temperature rose, Alan's health loss rate also increased.
[-90.]
[-93.]
[-96.]
It was still low, but the rate of increase was fast.
And unlike normal continuous health loss which occured once per second, this scorching health loss happened ten times per second.
Alan wrote Leona's name in the Codex of Life and Death.
However, Alan also realized that relying solely on arrow suppression to defeat Leona was almost impossible.
In that case, he would use his old tricks.
"Three Heads and Six Arms!" Alan activated his skill, equipping the God-Slaying Whip and Ninefold Longbow.
Now, he was wielding both the Ninefold Longbow and the Netherworld Longbow together.
The God-Slaying Whip's armor-piercing effect kicked in right away.
Leona's ice shield, which could block two of Alan's arrows, now could only block one.
With the Ninefold Longbow and the Three Heads and Six Arms ability, Alan's attack power was off the charts.
Before, Leona could handle Alan, but now his attack power had doubled!
The Ninefold Longbow doubled it once, and the God-Slaying Whip's armor-piercing effect doubled it again.
With his attack power doubled, Leona couldn't keep up.
She was quickly getting overwhelmed by Alan.
Plus, the hand holding the God-Slaying Whip could also use mana potions, keeping Alan's MP in check.
Of course, regular mana potions wouldn't cut it. Alan used two-star large mana potions, each costing ten gold coins.
Most mage players might carry two or three bottles. While Alan had his clone buy ten thousand bottles.
A two-star large mana potion could restore five hundred MP in ten seconds, a decent recovery rate.
Itwas costly and consumable, but did it matter? Nope.
Alan had plenty of gold coins.
Seeing Alan use a two-star large mana potion every ten seconds, Leona felt a headache coming on.
She was finding it harder and harder to fend off Alan's attacks.
Even though most of Alan's attacks were blocked by her ice shield, they could still trigger the Meteor effect.
Leona was now in the same predicament as the God of the Undead.
She couldn't out-damage Alan in a direct fight, and her defense was barely holding.
With the Codex of Life and Death's lock-on and the Meteor's area bombardment, she had no chance.
"Fuck! So strong!" Leona cursed. She had many powerful skills, but she was struggling to defend, leaving no chance to use them.
"So this is the power of a fourth-tier ice and fire grand mage? Much weaker than I thought." Alan laughed.
Leona's face was grim, and she shouted, "Ice and Fire Lotus!"
A lotus bloomed under Alan's feet.
Using a skill on Alan meant her defense would be compromised.
[-531089.]
[-531089.]
[Critical hit!]
[-1062178!]
Damage numbers appeared above Leona's head, causing massive damage. In just one exchange, millions of health points were gone.
After all, Leona was just a mage. Even though she was a platinum-level fourth-tier grand mage and the king of Stellaria andher health bar was somewhat over the top, she couldn't withstand Alan's terrifying output.
"Sky Escape Technique!" Leona bit her lip, and an ice-blue flag appeared in her hand.
The flag shattered in her hand.
Instantly, she disappeared from the Guardian Tower.
Alan's expression changed.
He used the Guardian Tower to prevent Leona from escaping, but he didn't expect her to still run away. "I want to see where you can run to!"
