Chapter 270 The Attitudes of Various Sanctuaries
"Ice King, I can only sell you ten bottles, tops."
"One million per bottle, and I want a hundred," Alan shot back.
Lysander's eyes sparkled. "Deal!"
Alan was willing to shell out big bucks for the Severe Injury Potion because it could even mess up deities. Normally, deities could shrug off most severe injuries, slow effects, knockbacks, and control effects.
To a regular player, a million gold coins per bottle might seem crazy, but for Alan, it was worth every penny.
"Lysander, can you do me a favor?" Alan asked with a grin.
"You want me to use the Domain of the Sea to wear down Sea God?" Lysander guessed.
"Exactly, it's nice talking to someone who gets it."
Lysander thought for a moment. "What's in it for me if I help you?"
Alan smirked. "Come on, with our relationship, talking about returns just feels wrong."
Lysander said, "Help me take out someone from a guild. Each member needs to be killed at least ten times. Do that, and I'll help you."
Alan asked, "An adventurer's guild?"
"Yeah."
Alan was a bit taken aback. "Which guild had the guts to mess with you?"
"It's not exactly about offending me, but that's not important. The guild's called Nightfall Union."
Alan got it immediately. Nightfall Union had been a pain for him too.
It seemed like the heir of Sea Goddess had a bone to pick with Nightfall Union, and now someone had to slow them down in the game.
"No problem."
Alan had no love for Nightfall Union, so taking them down was fine by him.
"Alright, let's head to Sea God Island now," Lysander said, pointing to a ship. "It'll take about half a month to get there, so be ready."
"That long?"
Alan was a bit annoyed since he was in a rush. But then he remembered that once he reached Sea God Island and took out Sea God, he could use the Royal Portal to zip back to the Hall of Glory. The timing would work out, so he chilled out instantly.
Plus, Alan could also get a handle on the Essence of the Sea while on the ship.
Alan set sail. Meanwhile, in the Mountain and Sea Empire, a ton of players were flooding into the new Central City. The whole region was leveling up from the second job change straight to the ninth.
The spatial barriers had vanished, letting the Vast Continent and the Mountain and Sea Empire mix freely.
The Mountain and Sea Empire quickly got lively.
The Palace of Infinity, one of the oldest sanctuaries on the Vast Continent, was a place that stayed neutral and usually didn't get involved in other sanctuaries' beefs.
Besides, the Palace of Infinity wasn't xenophobic. If someone was a genius, whether they were from the Jinse Empire or somewhere else, they'd take them in and train them.
Right now, in a side hall of the main palace of the Palace of Infinity, the second palace master, Nikolai, looked at the few people below him with a serious tone.
"The Hall of Glory is back, and some mysterious powerhouse has taken over as the hall master. Who's up for going and making contact?" Nikolai asked.
When they heard this, the folks below were a bit taken aback. "The last Hall of Glory master was a beast, took down the Ice Goddess solo. Even though the old master left the Vast Continent, a new one’s in charge now. We should make contact to get some trade going between the Vast Empire and the Mountain and Sea Empire."
A tall, thin old man on the left stepped up. "Nikolai, I’ll go."
"Great, bring some gifts. We don’t want anyone thinking the Palace of Infinity is cheap."
"Got it, Nikolai."
The Divine Peak Summit was the highest mountain on the Vast Continent; there was a sanctuary at its peak. The Celestoria Empire, the most united empire on the Vast Continent, was backed by this sanctuary.
Right now, in the grand hall of the Celestoria Empire's sanctuary, a tall man named Lachlan was grinning ear to ear.
"Good, very good. The Hall of Glory is back. Even though that old geezer left the Vast Continent, I still need to check it out."
A middle-aged man in a silver-white robe bowed respectfully.
"Mountain Lord, I know you were tight with the old Hall of Glory master, but he's gone now. The Hall of Glory caused a lot of trouble before. If we get too chummy now, it might bring trouble to our Divine Peak Summit."
"Always worrying about trouble. When have I ever been scared of trouble?" Lachlan snapped.
"Alright, enough. In half a month, I’ll visit the Hall of Glory myself. Get some good gifts ready, and don’t make us look bad."
These were the neutral parties and those who had good ties with the Hall of Glory. But not everyone was happy about its revival.
On Icefire Los Island, in the southeast of the Vast Continent, a dominant force in the Icefire Ocean controlled the Icefire Empire, which was made up of numerous islands.
At the top of a towering tower in the central part of Icefire Los Island, a woman with a pale face, bright red lips, and hair styled into a scroll stood with a sinister expression.
"The Hall of Glory is back," she hissed.
"Master, should we gather the thirty-six island masters? The Hall of Glory took a big hit before. If we strike now, we can catch them off guard."
Ayla nodded slightly. "Gather them. If the Hall of Glory dares to come back, I dare to destroy it. Besides, reach out to the other sanctuaries. That old Lachlan from Divine Peak Summit might try to butt in again."
"Yes, Master!"
The revival of the Hall of Glory had stirred up all the sanctuaries on the Vast Continent.
Meanwhile, Alan, the new hall master of the Hall of Glory, was drifting at sea, getting a handle on the Essence of the Sea.
With the Creation Jade Plate's help, Alan's progress was skyrocketing. One day of understanding now was like a hundred days before.
"We're here."
Lysander looked ahead, showing no sign of nerves even though they were facing a deity.
Alan looked around but didn’t see an island. "Is Sea God Island in a secret realm?"
