"David, when do we take action?" Alan asked directly.

David gave a mysterious smile. "Right now!"
Alan nodded and asked, "What's the plan?"
David smiled and said, "I've had many secret confrontations with Daniel before. This time, you're the game-changer."
Alan was a bit surprised. "What do you mean?"
"In a direct fight, neither Daniel nor I can be sure of defeating the other. But with your help, the outcome could be different."
"I see." Alan smiled. "So, we're heading straight to the cliff to find Daniel."
"Exactly. But first, go to the tavern and buy me two jars of wine."
"Alright."
Alan was a bit taken aback that David actually needed to drink.
Tavern.
After buying the wine, Alan didn't poison it as he had agreed with Daniel.
In this battle, no matter who won, Alan hoped it would be a hard-fought victory.
Because only then could he benefit.
When David received the wine from Alan, he first tested it with a silver needle.
"Charles was Daniel's man; even if he's dead, we still need to be cautious."
Alan was a bit stunned. So much for Daniel's "absolute trust"?

As he spoke, a silver-white set of armor appeared on Daniel.
