[Durability: Indestructible]
Alan grinned. This thing was practically made for him.
With him, Robert, and James together, it was no exaggeration to say that in Stellaria, whoever they targeted was as good as dead.
Stashing the Guardian's Tower, Alan headed to Lone Wind City. He hadn't forgotten the real purpose of this trip.
Since he didn't get what he wanted from Leona, he'd tear through Stellaria to get it himself.
He arrived at Lone Wind City.
James and Robert were already there.
"Alan, problem solved?" he asked, James's face lit up when he saw Alan.
Alan smirked. He replied, "Not completely. Next, we're attacking Lone Wind City."
At the City Lord's Mansion, Zoe, the City Lord, was arranging her personnel, clearly planning something.
"City Lord, bad news, they're attacking the city again."
Zoe frowned and snapped, "They've attacked three times already, no threat."
"No, City Lord, this time it's not just them, the black-robed archer is here too."
"What?" Zoe gasped as she stood up abruptly, fear flashing in her eyes.
Zoe complained, "What do those scum from the Abyss want? Do they really want to destroy Stellaria? Where's the new king? Is she just going to sit by and do nothing? The old king personally led the charge!"
As Zoe spoke, a communication talisman flew in, delivering a message to her ear.
Hearing the message, Zoe's face showed disbelief.
The message was simple: "Activate the city protection array and evacuate with the treasures."
Zoe said, "It's easy for them to say. How are we supposed to evacuate? Lone Wind City has been the stronghold of the Parker Family for so many years. Do they not know how much effort we've put into it?"
An elder beside Zoe squinted his eyes and said, "Miss, the black-robed archer is powerful, we can't fight him head-on."
Zoe replied, "The Parker Family won't be slaughtered like sheep!"
The elder in green pondered for a moment and said, "Indeed, Lone Wind City holds the foundation of the Parker Family. Abandoning it is hard to accept."
"If it's hard to accept, then we fight!" she insisted, Zoe's eyes flashed with intense killing intent.
The elder in green was worried. And remarked, "But the old king died at the hands of the black-robed archer, and the so-called tactical genius Mia couldn't last fifteen minutes against him."
"I know long-range combat is not an option. In that case, let's have a positional battle." Zoe sneered, "Those scum from the Abyss covet Lone Wind City, so we'll feign retreat and set traps inside the city."
"When they enter, kill them!!" With that, Zoe squinted her eyes. She instructed, "Use the gunpowder we got from the ancient Jinse Empire."
She added, "Lone Wind City is the heart and soul of the Parker Family. If we can't hold it, we'll destroy it rather than let those scum from the Abyss have it."
The elder in green took a deep breath. And inquired, "Miss, should we use the power of the God of the Undead?"
Zoe squinted, deep in thought.
After a moment, she said, "If there's a chance to kill the black-robed leader, then use it. If not, don't expose it."
Outside Lone Wind City, Alan didn't bother with complicated plans.
He acted without hesitation.
Arrows whistled through the air, and the city guards quickly fell.
In less than thirty seconds, Lone Wind City had collapsed, and the army was in disarray.
A faint smile appeared on Alan's face.
This battle had somewhat exceeded his expectations.
Given Lone Wind City's strength, they should have been able to resist his attack to some extent.
Moreover, Alan remembered that in the previous national war, Lone Wind City had used the Lone Wind Black Fire Cannon.
But this time, not a single shot was fired from the Lone Wind Black Fire Cannon, which was strange.
James said, "Alan, you're too fierce. You brought Lone Wind City to its knees as soon as you arrived."
Alan shook his head. He replied, "You're overthinking it. Lone Wind City is stronger than Lindataria and Ice Snow City. The reason it collapsed so quickly must be one of two things."
"Which two?" James asked.
Robert mocked from the side. He said, "James, can't you figure it out? It's obviously to preserve their forces for a counterattack. But what's the other possibility?"
Clearly, Robert hadn't guessed the other possibility either.
"That there's a trap," he explained. Alan smiled and then sent a message to Blade Warrior.
Alan: [Blade Warrior, do you have people at the south gate of Lone Wind City? Check if there's a large number of NPCs evacuating.]
Alan was at the north gate and hadn't seen any NPCs retreating from Lone Wind City, which meant they could only be at the south gate.
From his position, he would have seen if a large number of NPCs were retreating from the east or west gates.
Blade Warrior quickly responded: [No NPCs are retreating]
In fact, his people had come over when they saw Alan heading to Lone Wind City.
Given his previous behavior, there might be some bounty mission.
First come, first served.
Alan smiled faintly. He muttered, "Sure enough, there's a problem!"
James immediately asked, "What's going on?"
Alan smiled. He revealed, "I just asked Blade Warrior, and there are no NPCs retreating from Lone Wind City, which means they're all inside, waiting for us to enter, and then surround us!"
Robert couldn't help but curse, "These NPCs are really smart. I often find that their intelligence doesn't seem like it's from an AI program but more like real people with thoughts and emotions!"
Alan gave Robert a meaningful look. He said, "You're not wrong. Ragnarok can't be simply measured as a game. So, try to get as strong as possible in Ragnarok."
Robert and James both nodded in agreement. James laughed. He added, "I also feel like Ragnarok is a magical world. If not for the fact that many things are digitized, I would think it's a real world."
Alan waved his hand. He suggested, "Let's go, we're entering Lone Wind City."
