Chapter 191 The First Spirit Absorbed by the Soul Gathering List!
Alan took a moment to gather his thoughts and check out his latest rewards.
First up, the big prize wasthe God of the Undead.
Alan unfolded the Soul Gathering List and summoned him.
With sixteen arms and sixteen legs, the God of the Undead looked downright ridiculous.
"What did you do to me? Why do I feel like I need to kneel before you?" The God of the Undead stared at Alan, shocked to be alive again.
Seeing Alan, he felt an overwhelming urge to kneel and worship him.
The God of the Undead's face twisted in disbelief. "I'm back to my peak! This is awesome. Ice King, you were so cocky before. Now that I'm back, get ready to die!"
He wanted to attack Alan, but guilt surged inside him.
A voice deep within whispered, 'How could I attack the great Ice King? I deserve to die.'
Alan wasn't worried. Thanks to the Soul Gathering List, he was the master of the God of the Undead.
This wasn't just enslavement; it was a deep, spiritual bond.
"Kneel," Alan said calmly.
Without hesitation, the God of the Undead knelt before Alan, as devoutly as possible. "Great Ice King, is there anything your humble servant Patrick can do for you?"
Just moments ago, he had other thoughts. Now, those thoughts were completely gone. All that remained was absolute faith in Alan.
"Hand over all your good stuff," Alan instructed.
The God of the Undead didn't resist and handed over his sixteen main weapons and his life-bound artifact.
Alan picked up a complete spear.
[Undead Spear: Demigod Level.]
[Requirements: Undead Demigod Level or higher beings.]
[Effect 1: +30 million HP.]
[Effect 2: Enhances undead abilities by 100%.]
[Effect 3: +1 million MP.]
[Effect 4: +100,000 attack power.]
[Effect 5: Increases normal attack range by 100%.]
[Effect 6: +30% lifesteal.]
[Effect 7: +10 attack speed.]
[Effect 8: +100% critical hit.]
[Effect 9: +45% armor penetration.]
[Effect 10: 10% chance to tear the opponent's soul, causing continuous soul damage.]
[Durability: Indestructible.]
Alan took a deep breath. This was a demigod-level piece of equipment, something he couldn't even dream of in his previous life.
Then, Alan picked up a long knife with cracks.
The attributes were equally impressive, but the indestructible part had changed to Durability: 91.
"Was this long knife originally indestructible?" Alan asked.
"Yes," the God of the Undead answered respectfully. "But under the Ice King's assault, its indestructible property was broken."
Alan nodded. "So indestructible equipment isn't foolproof. It can still be destroyed."
The God of the Undead sighed helplessly, "Not entirely. Indestructible equipment usually requires an exceptionally severe impact to compromise its indestructible properties."
He then added, "My equipment is demigod-level indestructible. To break its indestructible property, you would need at least indestructible pseudo-god-level equipment."
Alan took a deep breath, trying to wrap his head around what the God of the Undead was saying.
Indestructible wasn't absolute. Even among indestructible gear, there were different levels.
Higher-level indestructible equipment could destroy lower-level indestructible stuff.
Got it. Alan felt like he understood a bit more now.
"By the way, do you have any god-level talent awakening stones?" Alan asked.
He really needed one right now.
When he first awakened his talent, the god-level stone only partially awakened it.
So, if he could get another one, he might fully awaken his super-god-level talent.
The God of the Undead thought for a moment. "I don't have any more, but besides giving one to the Tranquil Zen Master, I also gave one to someone else."
"Who?" Alan's eyes lit up. If it hadn't been used, he could snag it for himself.
"His nickname is Physics God," the God of the Undead replied.
Alan's eyes sparkled. Physics God was Michael's nickname.
Alan couldn't wait any longer. He logged off and called Michael.
After a few rings, Michael picked up. "Alan, what's up?"
"Michael, do you have a god-level talent awakening stone?" Alan asked directly.
"Yeah," Michael replied.
"Have you used it?" Alan's heart raced. If it was used, he'd break down.
"No, James gave me a master-level talent awakening stone, which awakened my talent," Michael said.
"Can you give it to me?" Alan asked, barely containing his excitement.
"Sure, but I'm still in the ancient tomb. I can give it to you once I get out," Michael replied.
"Okay." Alan hung up, pumping his fist in the air.
After all this effort, it felt like a stroke of luck. He was finally going to get the god-level talent awakening stone.
Re-entering the game, Alan calmed down and checked out the God of the Undead's life-bound artifact.
The attributes were insanely powerful. But Alan couldn't use it. It was useless to him.
"What about other stuff? Like the Blessing of the Gods? Or free attribute points?" Alan asked.
The God of the Undead shook his head. "I don't know. There used to be some, but after dying and returning to my peak state, those things that could be given to adventurers are gone."
Alan frowned. This was kind of like summoners.
In his previous life, someone had enslaved a wild quest NPC. After being enslaved, the NPC couldn't issue quests or give rewards anymore.
The God of the Undead seemed to be in a similar situation.
Though a bit disappointing, Alan was still thrilled.
A peak-period God of the Undead could easily take down other gods in their revival stages. After killing them, he could add them to the Soul Gathering List, and his advantage would grow.
After the initial excitement, Alan quickly calmed down.
No matter how strong others were, they were still ultimately external forces. Just like the former king of Stellaria, Rex, who had strong summoned beasts and protectors but still died at Alan's hands.
It was due to the fact that, as a summoner, King Rex himself lacked considerable strength.
