Chapter 231 Your Subordinate Greets the Son of the Sea!

The Sea God Temple Master looked like he finally got it.

"Not too long ago, I heard the famous Ice King showed up in our chaotic land. Didn't think you'd come after our Sea God Temple so fast."

Alan chuckled. "You're kidding, right? I wasn't gunning for you at all."

"Killing our Great Elder at our HQ isn't targeting us?" the Sea God Temple Master shot back.

Alan shook his head. "I said he deserved it. He attacked me first. I was just defending myself."

The others around them couldn't help but twitch their mouths.

Defending himself and taking out a four-time job change gold-level expert in under four seconds?

"So, why did he deserve to die?" the Master pressed.

Alan stayed calm. "He accused me of being an Evil God follower without any proof and then attacked me."

The Sea God Temple Master eyed Alan with interest. "And how do you prove you're not?"

"Why should I? He made the accusation, so he should back it up. If you accuse me, you should prove it, not me."

The Master's eyes narrowed. "Fair point. But you still killed our Great Elder. Don't you owe us an explanation?"

Alan nodded. "Sure, an explanation is needed. Seawise Elder slandered me and you took an equipment evolution scroll. Now you're slandering me. I think two equipment evolution scrolls should cover it."

The Master sneered.

Alan's words were clearly testing his patience.

"If I wasn't standing right here, I'd think I misheard. Killing someone in our Sea God Temple and then demanding compensation?"

The Master's smile turned icy.

The blue-haired woman and Lumi took a couple of steps back.

They knew their Temple Master was getting pissed.

"What, got a problem with that?" Alan asked, acting like he didn't notice the Master's anger.

"They say young folks who succeed get cocky, but I've never seen anyone as cocky as you."

Alan smirked. "Guess you haven't seen much then."

"Good, very good, excellent."

The Master laughed angrily, a trident appearing in his hand.

The trident glowed faintly blue.

With the trident in hand, the Master's aura got way more intense.

"Watch out, sir. That's a divine weapon," the voice of the God of the Undead warned Alan.

Alan was a bit surprised but quickly got it.

Since the Sea God was in the chaotic land, and this guy was his top follower.

Even though his four-time job change platinum-level strength didn't really qualify him to be a direct subordinate of the Sea God, the Sea God had no better choice and had to settle for him.

Alan also had divine equipment, so he knew how scary it could be.

"Sea Domain!"

The Master didn't hold back, swinging the trident and using the Sea God Trident's domain skill.

Seawater surged from all sides, engulfing Alan.

It was a seriously powerful move.

No matter what job you had, once you hit a certain level, you'd unlock a domain.

At that point, regular skills couldn't decide a fight anymore.

It was all about domains and rules.

Take the Sea Intent Alan was working on—it was like a baby version of a rule.

But when the seawater swallowed him up, Alan didn't freak out. Instead, he had this weird look on his face.

Because in this Sea Domain, not only was he fine, but he also felt lighter.

His attack speed, movement speed, and health recovery all got a boost.

Alan muttered, "That's the Sea Son title kicking in."

"Still feeling cocky, kid?" The Sea God Temple Master taunted.

He figured with the Sea Domain up, Alan would lose his fight.

Most people couldn't move or breathe underwater, making it impossible to battle.

And his Sea Domain wasn't just any underwater scene; it could crush opponents in every way.

Their Sea God Temple ruled the chaotic land mostly because of this Sea Domain.

"Ever think that if someone's cocky, they might have a reason?" Alan strolled up to the Master, totally chill in the Sea Domain.

"How is this possible?" The Master was in disbelief. "Even if you got the Sea Intent, you shouldn't be this relaxed in my Sea Domain."

"Surprised?" Alan grinned. "Have you ever considered that I might possess another identity, one so lofty that you would be compelled to bow down?"

The Master's eyes locked onto Alan, his voice shaky. "What other identity?"

He didn't think Alan was bluffing.

Someone who could walk around in his Sea Domain had no reason to lie.

Alan pulled back his hood, showing off his Sea Son title.

The Master looked like he'd seen a ghost, his pupils wide, breathing fast, body shaking with shock.

"Sea Son, the Sea God's Son?"

The usually calm Master was more rattled than he'd been in the last ten years.

After a moment of shock, he quickly pulled back the Sea Domain.

Everything went back to normal.

The others had no clue what went down inside the Sea Domain.

But they saw both Alan and the Master unharmed.

Lumi and the blue-haired woman thought Alan had been scared by the Master's Sea Domain.

That was a skill tied to a divine weapon, and it was terrifying.

But what happened next blew their minds.

The Master, after pulling back the Sea Domain, took a step back and knelt before Alan.

"Subordinate greets the Sea Son."

Lumi and the blue-haired woman were stunned.

Only then did they notice Alan's disguise was gone, revealing the Sea Son title.

In a flash, they got it and knelt too.

"Subordinates greet the Sea Son!"
