Chapter 150 Attack Snow City Again!
While taking Zachary to find someone, Alan asked, "Who's running the counterattack on Lindataria? Andrew?"
"Yeah, it's him," Zachary replied.
Alan nodded and quickly sent a message to Robert.
Alan: [Robert, find Andrew with James. Andrew's leading the counterattack on Lindataria. Get the mission from him. Remember, take the assassination mission, not the siege one.]
Robert: [Got it, Alan.]
After sending the message, Alan took Zachary to a talisman shop.
Inside the shop, someone who looked exactly like Alan was standing there.
"Who is this?" Zachary asked, surprised. The person had hidden their nickname.
Alan looked around, saw no one else, and had his doppelganger reveal its nickname: Ice King.
"Ice King! Same look and nickname. This is your counterpart," Zachary said, stunned.
Alan nodded. He suggested, "Yeah, stay with him so you can explain things to King Rex."
"Okay," Zachary replied.
After sorting out Zachary's situation, Alan left Starcity.
Once outside the city, Alan found a secluded spot, put on a disguise cloak, and headed towards Lindataria.
At Lindataria, Alan smoothly met the Black Robe Leader.
Having taken Lindataria, the Black Robe Leader was clearly happy. Seeing Alan, he smiled. He greeted, "Ice King, you're here."
Alan sat down. He informed, "King Rex has Andrew leading the counterattack on Lindataria."
The Black Robe Leader frowned. He said, "Is that so?"
He continued, "Last time we attacked Lindataria, Andrew probably guessed your identity. He'll take measures against you this time."
Alan nodded. He mentioned, "Yeah, King Rex sent Zachary to keep an eye on me."
Hearing this, the Black Robe Leader's expression changed. He remarked, "If that's the case, it's troublesome."
Alan waved it off. He assured him, "Don't worry. I've already handled Zachary."
The Black Robe Leader was surprised. He probed, "Handled? Would Zachary help you? That doesn't seem right. If he doesn't watch you, he can't explain to King Rex."
Alan smiled mysteriously. He reassured him, "Don't worry. It's taken care of. Establishing a regime needs at least three cities and one capital."
The Black Robe Leader's eyes lit up in excitement. He asked, "Are you planning to keep expanding?"
"Of course," Alan smiled. He revealed, "You and I will take the two cities around Lindataria, use Lindataria as the capital, and establish a regime."
The Black Robe Leader squinted doubtfully. He said, "If we do that, Lindataria might not hold."
Alan smiled. He replied, "If another city is in crisis, Andrew won't focus on Lindataria."
Alan added, "Even if he takes Lindataria, it doesn't matter. After we take the two cities around it, we can reevaluate and defeat Andrew's army."
The Black Robe Leader squinted, considering Alan's plan.
After a moment, he nodded. He agreed, "Alright, let's do it your way. Time's tight. Let's not waste any more. We'll take Snow City first, then Red Peak City!"
Alan grinned and set off with the Black Robe Leader to attack Snow City.
When they arrived, Alan didn't waste any time. He sprang into action.
Arrows whizzed through the air, and the two city guards at the gate dropped instantly.
One announced, "Enemy attack!"
Another ordered, "Close the gate!"
The alarm blared over Snow City, and everyone scrambled into battle mode.
Alan stayed calm, firing arrows and quickly taking down the guards at the gate.
The Black Robe Leader saw Alan's skill and let out a sinister laugh as he charged forward.
As one of the top leaders of the Dark Cavern, his strength rivaled Andrew's. Once he joined the fight, the city guards fell back in defeat.
Snow City Lord Eira Hawthorn's face was grim. She ordered, "These Dark Cavern scum, they've targeted Snow City so fast. Send a message to General Andrew!"
Meanwhile, Andrew was already leading his army to Lindataria, preparing to launch an attack.
Someone reported, "General, Snow City Lord has sent a message. They're under attack by the Dark Cavern and need support."
Andrew's expression darkened. He remarked, "The Dark Cavern just took Lindataria. Their position is shaky, and they dare to attack Snow City now!"
"Tell Eira to hold on. I'll take Lindataria and then rush to support her," Andrew ordered.
Back at Snow City, Alan was like a grim reaper, killing everywhere.
Wherever his arrows flew, city guards fell.
The guards on the walls started fighting back, raining arrows down on Alan.
Thousands of arrows, mixed with mage spells, flew towards him.
Alan's speed was incredible. Though he couldn't dodge everything, he avoided most of the attacks.
Even when hit by a dozen arrows, it didn't faze him; he recovered almost instantly.
The Black Robe Leader charged forward, disrupting Snow City's defenses.
"Activate the city protection array!" Eira roared, waving her staff. A formation appeared above Alan, raining down countless ice spikes.
[Immune.]
[Immune!]
Eira saw the word 'Immune' appear above Alan's head and was stunned.
"How is he doing this?" Eira was shocked. She wondered, "A skill? Or immunity to ice attacks?"
If it was a skill, Eira could accept it.
If it was immunity to ice attacks, she was powerless.
"Ice Vortex!" Eira yelled as she attacked Alan again with her staff.
But she was disappointed.
[Immune!]
[Immune!]
The word 'Immune' kept appearing above Alan's head.
"How is this possible?" she muttered. Eira's face showed disbelief.
She kept attacking.
But the result was the same. It was immune, still immune!
Eira wondered, 'How can this be? How can he be immune to ice attacks? That's the ultimate blessing of the Ice Goddess.'
She thought frustratedly, 'The Ice Goddess, how could she give her ultimate blessing to a nightwalker!'
While Eira was lost in thought, Alan's arrows were already raining down on her.
Someone called out to her, "Lord, watch out!"
A shield warrior rushed over, blocking Alan's arrows with his shield.
But after just a dozen arrows, the bronze shield shattered.
The arrows struck, and the shield warrior fell instantly.
