Chapter 297 Pulling Out!

The ruler of Sunset Peak sneered, "You've got numbers, but what if someone hits Sunset Town right now?"

Alan's eyes narrowed, "So what if they take it? After I'm done with you, I'll just take it back."

The Sunset Peak boss shrugged, cool as ever, "You say that like it's nothing. Let's throw down then. After all, I'm guessing a pre-quest scroll of the Gods' Blessing isn't a big deal to you, Ice King!"

Bingo!

But Alan didn't flinch. "How'd you know that?" he shot back, keeping his poker face.

Both of his pre-quest scrolls of the Gods' Blessing were given to him by Octavius. The ruler of Sunset Peak is an NPC, so how did she know he had the scroll?

Did she issue it herself?

No way!

The ruler of Sunset Peak is tied to the Three Saints Society. She'd probably love to see the Mountain and Sea Empire burn!

Why would she hand out a quest that benefits the empire?

If the scroll didn't come from her, how'd she know about it?

Odds are, a player spilled the beans.

But who?

Someone from Octavius' side?

The masked man knew. The ruler of Sunset Peak knew too.

Seemed like Octavius needed a little reminder.

Right then, Blade Warrior pinged Alan, "Ice King, Sunset Town's getting swarmed by more monsters."

Alan stayed chill, his eyes locked on the Sunset Peak boss. "You really think I'd bail for some pre-quest scroll of the Gods' Blessing?"

The ruler of Sunset Peak grinned, "No worries. If you don't care, then let's fight. Last time, Sunset Town suffered heavy losses. This time, I'm betting it'll be toast in under fifteen minutes."

"Really?" Alan gave a vague smile, "Still don't know how you figured out I've got the scroll. But doesn't matter. Today, since you're here, none of you are walking out!"

The ruler of Sunset Peak frowned, "Are you really willing to give up your pre-quest scroll of the Gods' Blessing?"

"Not willing, but why can't I have both? I want it all, is that a problem?" Alan said with a smile.

The ruler of Sunset Peak snorted coldly, "Is that possible? Fifteen minutes. Although we are fewer in number, it's impossible for you to take us down."

"Bit of a hassle, but I gotta break it to you—I've got people set up in Sunset Town." Alan stayed cool as a cucumber.

"No way! How the hell did you know about this?" the Sunset Peak boss snapped, grinding her teeth.

"Spot on. I had no clue you'd pull this stunt. I was prepping for someone else," Alan shot back.

Last time, when wild monsters suddenly attacked Sunset Town, Alan found it strange.

Sea God sensed a similar power from those wild monsters as from the masked man's mask.

To be precise, the power source was the same, but the energy on the mask was divine, while the monsters' was watered down to almost nothing.

It wasn't divine anymore, but its roots were.

Even if the masked man wanted to get back at Alan, attacking Sunset Town didn't make sense.

So, from that moment, Alan had a hunch that the details of his Gods' Blessing pre-quest scroll had been leaked.

This time, with the major forces of the Mountain and Sea Empire in play, Alan knew he had to watch out for the masked man.

That's why he stashed the undead Loff White in Sunset Town—just in case things went sideways.

"Alright." A robed middle-aged dude cut in, "Ice King, you should know—no matter how slick the plan, it's toast against raw power. Doesn't even rate."

A powerful divine aura was released.

Around the middle-aged man in the robe, silver eyes appeared continuously, as if tearing through the void, observing Alan, making one feel creepy just by looking.

"Pushing your domain to the max without Ragnarok catching a whiff? Seems like you're scared," Alan smirked, his tone dripping with sarcasm.

"To take you down, this is more than enough!"

Alan shrugged it off, "Tentacle freak, let me tell you something. Luring out Sunset Peak and the Three Saints Society is just the cherry on top. You're my main event today. I knew you'd crawl out of the woodwork when I tangled with the big three families—always looking to cash in."

The middle-aged man's eyes narrowed. "You're trying to off a god?"

"Off a god? If the last temple master could do it, why not me?" Alan shifted gears. "Besides, I've already taken down one. What's one more?"

The guy took a deep breath. "I know you killed the God of the Undead, but I'm not some weakling like him. And you've got it twisted about divine remnants. You think they're some kind of handicap?"

Alan waved him off. "Whatever. Today, we'll see what you're really made of."

Just like that, the Death God domain erupted, crashing into the silver-eyed domain of the middle-aged guy.

"Advanced Death God domain?" the man muttered, his eyes flickering with shock. "The God of the Undead, I underestimated you. You actually managed to latch onto the Ice King. Too bad your domain's still weak sauce! If it were Thanatos' sixth-grade Death God domain, maybe you'd have a shot at me!"

Alan was at a loss for words. This guy actually thought he was possessed by the God of the Undead?

Still, it kinda made sense.

"Whether I can take you down, we'll see once we throw down. And you're scared of Ragnarok's rules, but I'm not!" Alan's eyes went icy.

The true form of the God of the Undead burst out of the Soul Gathering List, landing right in front of the middle-aged dude in a flash.

"No way," the guy gasped, totally stunned.

He'd assumed the God of the Undead was just a remnant soul, like him. But here it was, fully intact, unleashing its divine power in full force!

As soon as the God of the Undead unleashed all its divine power, thunderclouds gathered in the sky, thunder dragons rolled, and lightning descended from the heavens.

However, the God of the Undead didn't care, directly grabbing the middle-aged man's forehead, pulling out a semi-transparent Silver-Eyed Nicholas from his forehead.
