Chapter 194 Captain Samuel!
"Instant Slash!"
In a blink, Alan was right behind Leona, his Divine Whip crashing down. "Super Armor!"
"Fire Ring of Resistance!" Leona quickly cast her spell.
But before the Fire Ring could even kick in, Alan's Super Armor was already up.
The Divine Whip came down so fast and so close that Leona couldn't react in time.
But instead of hitting her, the whip was blocked by an ice shield.
The ice shield shattered, but it still stopped the whip.
"Auto-Protection Shield?" Alan raised an eyebrow.
He knew Leona hadn't had time to cast the ice shield herself; it had to be automatic.
Just like his auto-defense flying sword, which kicked in whenever he was attacked.
It wasn't surprising for a mage to have such a life-saving skill.
Thanks to the ice shield, Leona had time to react.
She flickered and disappeared, leaving an ice clone behind, reappearing thirty meters away, safely distanced from Alan.
"Substitute Ice Clone?" Alan recognized Leona's trick.
Substitution techniques were common for mages, though only a few could learn them early on.
Alan stayed focused. As soon as Leona landed, arrows rained down on her.
"What a madman," Leona muttered, frustrated. Alan's weapon-switching speed was insane.
Almost the moment she flickered, he switched to the Nether Longbow.
As soon as she landed, the arrows came.
Leona used ice shields and ice walls to block the arrows again.
As Alan's arrows rained down, he moved closer to her.
In the distance, many players watched this epic battle unfold in Lindataria.
Leona had dragged a crystal coffin, crushing everything in her path until she reached Lindataria.
They were eager to see the outcome.
More importantly, they hoped for another national war, as each one brought immense rewards.
"Amitabha," Tranquil Zen Master said, looking at Leona with sympathy.
Others didn't know who had killed the God of the Undead, but he did.
Tranquil Zen Master believed Alan could slay Leona since he could defeat the Undead God.
"Watch closely. Ice King's strength isn't just in his skills and attributes but also in his combat awareness," a tall, middle-aged man said to those around him. "His battlefield control and weapon use are worth studying."
A mage behind the man looked puzzled. "Captain Samuel, his combat is impressive, but I don't think we're worse than him."
The middle-aged man glanced at the mage and sneered. "Rainfall, you're lucky to have dual master-level talents, but in terms of skill and combat awareness, you're still far behind."
Rainfall pouted. "Fine, I'll learn, but if I have to learn, it'll be from Leona."
The middle-aged man watched Alan and Leona's battle and spoke again, "Ernest, you've confronted Ice King before. How did it feel?"
Ernest looked surprised for a moment before replying, "Back then, I felt his skills were top-notch, his stats were high, and I died after just a few exchanges."
The middle-aged man nodded, then said sternly, "But Ernest, when are you gonna change your ways?"
Ernest lowered his head in shame. "It's hard to pass up a low-health wild boss when you come across one."
The middle-aged man sighed. "We don't lack wild bosses. Moreover, you failed to seize it and still continued to cause trouble. How should I even address you? Do you truly think this is just an ordinary game?"
Ernest said helplessly, "Captain Samuel, I know I was wrong."
Samuel Fisher said, "In terms of character, you're far behind Blade Warrior. Take some time to learn from him."
Samuel hesitated for a moment, then took out a Talent Evolution Flower. "Take this with you. Have Blade Warrior find an opportunity for you to apologize to the Ice King."
Rainfall chimed in, "Captain Samuel, that Talent Evolution Flower is extremely valuable. We can't just give it away. Besides..."
"Enough!" Captain Samuel cut Rainfall off. "Are you really that dense?"
He continued, "Earlier, the whole server announced someone had killed the God of the Undead. Who do you think did it? In our Jinse Empire server, who has the strength to kill a god?"
"Most likely Ice King," Ernest said.
Rainfall pouted. "Even if it was him, so what? I don't believe he killed a god at full strength. It was probably a newly revived god, not even a fraction of its peak power. Give me Ice King's stats, and I could kill it too."
"You!" Samuel gritted his teeth, clearly angry. "You don't even have his stats with your dual master-level talents, and you think you can kill it? Strong stats, strong skills, strong combat awareness—do you know how powerful that makes someone?"
"Moreover..." Samuel's tone shifted, his eyes growing more intense. "I think he understands Ragnarok better than we do."
Ernest pondered for a moment. "Captain Samuel, in that case, forget the Talent Evolution Flower. I saw the Cox Group offering a bounty for Ice King. How about I log off and take a trip abroad?"
Samuel raised an eyebrow. "Can you handle it alone?"
Ernest replied, "Not a big problem. You know me."
Samuel nodded. "Go and come back quickly. Besides, only report it as a trip abroad."
"Understood." Ernest smiled faintly, returned to Mad War Territory, and logged off quietly.
This was just a small interlude.
By now, Alan and Leona had already clashed thousands of times.
In close combat, Alan was stronger than Leona.
Plus, with Alan's Divine Whip, he was almost unstoppable.
Leona's various defenses couldn't withstand the Divine Whip.
After another clash, Leona retreated to create distance from Alan.
"Ice King, does it have to be this way?" Leona's expression grew serious. She had initially forced Zachary and Lorenr to their deaths, thinking that with her four-time job change strength, defeating Ice King would be effortless. But now, she realized she might have been wrong!
