Chapter 261 Battle of the Two Gods: Thunder Dragons Devour Souls
The gloomy kid was a bit thrown off by what he saw.
"Well, this is a twist. Looks like there are some big shots in this Chaos Territory."
Lysander laughed and said, "It's me, cut the crap."
Alan was stunned because Lysander's voice had turned into a woman's. He was totally floored at this point.
Was the revival of the ancient Jinse Empire really that big of a deal? Two gods broke the rules at the same time.
Even though they were just here with a piece of their leftover souls, it still broke the rules of Ragnarok.
If all the gods started doing this, it would turn into a divine war and probably wreck Ragnarok.
"Sea goddess?"
The gloomy kid raised an eyebrow, staring at Lysander in shock.
It looked a bit silly with two female gods taking over two male divine envoys.
But no matter how silly it was, Alan couldn't bring himself to laugh.
Even though these two gods weren't at full power, they were still pretty strong.
He had the God of the Undead as his ace, but that god had used up his heart of origin to lift Alan's curse and was now super weak.
Among the three, it was hard to tell who was stronger.
"Night Spirit God, back off. None of us have really made a move yet. If we back off now, the punishment won't be too bad."
The sea goddess suggested, clearly not wanting to fight.
The era of great contention was coming, and as gods, they both had the chance to level up.
If they had to go back to sleep for thousands of years because of a fight now and miss the era of great contention, it would suck.
Night Spirit God shook her head, saying, "I don't want to fight, but I have to. We can't let the ancient Jinse Empire come back. Plus, I came here ready for the worst."
At this point, the Night Spirit God's aura suddenly spiked, and Alan felt his body get heavy, almost dropping to his knees from the pressure.
"If you're a man of the Jinse Empire, stand tall."
The sea goddess's voice came through.
Alan forced his heavy body to move to the side.
A fight between two gods wasn't something a small fry like him could get involved in.
"Dark Night Domain!"
Night Spirit God shouted, and the clear sky suddenly went dark.
In the second job change area, there was no night, and players could grind monsters 24/7.
But now, it was pitch dark. A sense of dread started creeping into Alan's heart.
His emotions were beyond his control, a manifestation of the gods' absolute dominance over mortals.
The Godslayer mark heated up a bit, pushing away the dread in Alan's heart.
"Why does it have to come to this?" The sea goddess sighed softly. "Sea God Domain!"
On the horizon, deep blue seawater surged, raising waves that stretched for miles.
These massive waves looked like they could tear the world apart, super scary.
Alan gasped. Was this the power of two gods?
The God of the Undead said, "Not bad, a bit stronger than what I can do right now. Losing the heart of origin really sucks."
Alan couldn't help but roll his eyes.
Back then, it was the God of the Undead who cursed him with the heart of origin. After getting back to full power thanks to the Soul Gathering List, he used the heart of origin to help Alan recover.
What was this? This was called "karma"!
"Hey, my lord, is there any chance you could kill me again and put me back on the Soul Gathering List so I can get back to full strength?" The God of the Undead's voice echoed.
Alan stayed quiet.
"If that were possible, I would've offed you ages ago."
If one got killed after being on the Soul Gathering List, they were done for good.
Plus, the slots used on the Soul Gathering List didn't come back.
Right now, the sky above was split—half dark as night, half deep blue seawater.
If these two domains clashed, it would be a disaster.
"Die!"
Night Spirit God waved her hand, and endless darkness rushed at Alan.
To be exact, her target was Dashiell.
The sea goddess said, "Trying to kill someone right in front of me? That's a bit much, don't you think?"
The seawater surged, forming a water shield that protected Alan and Dashiell.
Alan pulled out the Royal Portal. While these two were duking it out, he had to get Dashiell out of here.
"No, my lord."The God of the Undead quickly warned."Your Royal Portal is just a divine gift, not a divine artifact. Forcing it through this space sealed by deities will definitely damage it."
Alan frowned and asked, "Can you protect the Royal Portal with divine power?"
"In my current state, I can only reduce the damage, not prevent it," the God of the Undead replied.
Alan thought for a moment.
If he retreated now, the Royal Portal might get damaged.
If he didn't, he'd have to wait until the sea goddess and Night Spirit God settled things.
"My lord, don't worry. In terms of divine rank, the sea goddess can easily beat Night Spirit God. This Night Spirit God isn't the real God of the Dark Night, just her daughter, with a low divine rank."
"Plus, if they keep fighting like this, the rules of Ragnarok won't allow it. They'll have to leave soon," the God of the Undead said.
Alan was inside the light shield.
He felt an incredibly terrifying force charging at the light shield several times, but unfortunately, it was blocked each time.
Suddenly, Alan heard thunder outside.
In Chaos Territory.
On the opposite shore of Siren's Slumber Isle, SnowflakeChaser had finally escaped the torment of the Code of Life and Death and was getting ready to leave on her Giant Winged Purple Bird.
Then she saw something she'd never forget.
In the sky.
Half was darkness, and the other half was seawater, terrifying and horrifying to the extreme.
Just a glance from afar made her shiver.
"What kind of existence could be so terrifying?"
SnowflakeChaser muttered to herself.
Suddenly, she saw a purple thundercloud break through the darkness and seawater in the sky.
Within the thundercloud, thunder dragons were rolling.
Two thunder dragons roared and descended from the sky, lighting up the night and parting the seawater.
As for who the thunder dragons struck, she couldn't see clearly because of the distance.
But Alan knew who they hit.
When the thunder dragons came down, both the sea goddess and Night Spirit God threw everything they had to resist.
The water shield around Alan vanished, letting him see the soul-devouring scene of the thunder dragons.
The two thunder dragons bit into the remnant souls of the sea goddess and Night Spirit God, swallowing them whole.
The two people possessed by the remnant souls of the deities trembled violently, spat out blood, and their eyes gradually cleared up.
"It's finally over. This was worse than dying a thousand times!" the gloomy kid complained.
