Chapter 272 The Second Deity on the List

Sea God had been keeping an eye on Alan for a while. He couldn't quite figure Alan out, but he knew the guy hadn't switched jobs too many times.

He had undergone at most three job changes.

What kind of threat could a newbie with just three job changes be?

Plus, he had some dirt on Lysander. It wouldn't be surprising if Lysander brought someone along just to show off.

But now, Sea God was freaking out.

One arrow doing over two million damage, a thousand arrows per second—he couldn't last even a second like this.

"Sea God Vortex!"

Sea God whipped up a vortex in front of him, trying to deflect Alan's arrows.

"Death's Domain!"

Even in a weakened state, the Sea God was not that easy to kill.

He couldn't do it alone. But what if he threw in the God of the Undead? And not just that.

"Elowen!"

"Orlando!"

"Oberon!"

"Kenneth!"

Alan called in four more experts with their own domains.

With Death's Domain in the mix, the five domains combined, trapping Sea God right in the middle, this would keep Sea God from escaping back to his seal.

If he made it back, with his regen abilities, the Code of Life and Death wouldn't be able to touch him.

"No!"

Sea God yelled in despair, "Are you the Ice King?"

"Lysander, you jerk, you actually brought the Ice King and drained my power on purpose!"

Sea God finally got it.

Lysander's taunts were all part of the plan, leading up to this moment.

"Ice King, you can't handle the guilt of killing a god. Stop now! Stop! Do you want to end up like the Hall of Glory's master?"

Sea God was both scared and pissed.

He was scared because Alan was about to finish him off; he was pissed because Alan actually had the guts to kill a god.

"Can gods really not be killed?"

Alan smirked and said, "I'm the Ice King, and I'm killing a god today!"

More arrows flew, and Alan cranked up his damage to the max.

"No. Don't!"

Sea God screamed in terror and despair, "Stop, stop now."

"I'll give you whatever you want, just stop!"

Alan sneered, "Sorry, I only have one thing on my mind—killing a god!"

Sea God was completely hopeless.

He was out of power and couldn't even fight back. "No!"

With one final desperate roar, Sea God fell under Alan's arrows.

[Ding, you have killed Sea God. Since you have not changed jobs, you cannot gain experience points.]

Alan didn't care. Even if he found Billy to change jobs this time, it would only count as the first job change of a super-god-level hidden profession. Killing Sea God would still be stuck.

And with Alan's current strength, leveling up was the least of his worries.

For him, leveling up was as easy as sending his undead army out, and he could level up like a rocket.

Alan immediately added Sea God to the Soul Gathering List.

The Soul Gathering List had a second deity ranked.

After adding Sea God to the Soul Gathering List, Alan immediately checked the Godslayer Mark.

He wanted to see what new abilities the Godslayer Mark had gained from killing a god this time.

[Godslayer Mark: Divine Level.]

[Effect 1: You won't be affected by divine power.]

[Effect 2: For each god you kill, you can steal one of their powers.]

[Currently killed gods:

First: Ice Goddess (You're immune to ice and snow damage and negative effects).

Second: God of the Undead (You can enslave the souls of the beings you kill, keeping them for thirty days, with a max of one million).

Third: Sea God (When in the ocean, as long as you’re not instantly killed, your health fully recovers within one second).]

Alan frowned a bit.

The ability he got from killing Sea God seemed strong, but it felt kinda limited to him.

Unless he ran into someone so powerful he couldn't handle, there wasn't much use for it.

In short, it was kinda meh.

But thinking about Sea God, Alan shrugged off this minor issue.

Because this was Sea God in his prime!

The God of the Undead was also in his prime at first, but he got super weak after using his source heart to lift a curse.

But Sea God was different now. This was the real deal, Sea God in his prime!

With a wave of his hand, Sea God popped back up in front of Alan.

He looked at Alan, confused, then glanced down at himself.

"Didn't I already die?"

Alan grinned, "The once arrogant Sea God is indeed dead."

"Now, you're my top enforcer."

Sea God looked shocked.

But the binding force and affinity he felt made him believe Alan was telling the truth.

"Sea God, bow to your master!"

Alan's tone got serious.

Sea God instinctively bowed respectfully.

"Sea God, at your service, my lord."

Alan was satisfied. "Good, hand over your Sea God Trident."

Sea God hesitated for a moment. The Sea God Trident was his life-bound artifact.

But he still handed it to Alan respectfully with both hands.

"So this is a divine artifact."

Alan raised his hand to touch it. In both his past and present lives, this was the first time Alan had gotten a divine artifact.

[Sea God Trident: Second-tier Divine Artifact.]

[Wearing Requirements: Sea God only.]

[Effect 1: Sea God all-element damage +1000%.]

[Effect 2: Sea God domain power +1000%.]

[Effect 3: Sea God critical damage taken reduced by 40%.]

[Effect 4: Sea God health regeneration +1 billion per second.]

[Effect 5: Sea God mana regeneration +10 million per second.]

[Effect 6: Sea God all-element damage reduction +40%.]

[Effect 7: Sea God luck +99.]

[Effect 8: Sea God magic penetration +50%.]

[Effect 9: Sea God physical penetration +50%.]

[Durability: Indestructible.]

[(Note: Wearer must be Sea God. Attribute bonuses depend on Sea God's state. If Sea God is severely injured, the Sea God Trident's attributes will decrease accordingly.)]

Alan raised an eyebrow. The attributes looked pretty impressive.

But it was still just a second-tier divine artifact, so it would change with Sea God's strength.

Whether higher-tier divine artifacts had the same issue, Alan didn't know. After all, this was the first divine artifact he had ever gotten.
