Chapter 146 The Angry Andrew

Andrew was floored.

His ultimate move had been completely nullified. What kind of skill was this?

But Alan didn't wait around. He took off.

Andrew was furious and helpless. Alan was too fast to catch.

At a speed of 45, Alan felt like he was gliding over the ground. This was way faster than he was in his previous life.

Back then, his speed was around 20, similar to Andrew's. Andrew used Wind Wings to boost his speed to about 30 or more, but he still couldn't match Alan's 45.

Alan gloated, "Those free attribute points were worth it!"

Alan grinned as he ran and attacked at the same time.

Andrew squinted. He remarked, "I can't catch up to Alan. He can run and attack the city guards simultaneously. At this rate, Lindataria is in serious trouble."

With that thought, Andrew charged into the Night Stalkers' formation like a war god. Each strike took down at least one Night Stalker. If he used an area-of-effect skill, dozens or even hundreds would fall. The Night Stalkers were like vegetables before him.

Alan grinned, firing five arrows at once, a hundred arrows per second. While attacking, he used his speed to scoop up equipment and experience points.

Every national war was a goldmine for ordinary players. Each enemy unit killed granted free attribute points. Plus, there was the opportunity to loot for equipment and skill books.

The main forces in national wars were usually NPCs, wild monsters, etc. When they were killed, they might drop equipment and skill books. With tens of thousands of casualties, the loot was endless.

With his speed, Alan started collecting spoils of war, focusing on skill books. Most of the gears were transitional, but skills could be upgraded. Even if a skill was trash, he could give it to guild members.

Different stages meant different skill needs. But Alan mainly relied on basic attacks, so he didn't care much for other skills. Skills that increased attack power or damage were useless to him.

Too many skills would mess with his operations. He wanted powerful skills, not mediocre ones.

In terms of harvesting ability, Alan was on par with Andrew. None of the city guards could withstand a single arrow from Alan. Hundreds of arrows a second meant hundreds of city guards fell every second.

In reality, it was even more because Alan also had Lightning Leap and Meteor Shower, two area-of-effect passive skills with terrifying damage.

Seeing Alan's insane harvesting ability, Andrew's face showed pure shock.

But wanting to kill Alan and not being able to touch him was driving Andrew nuts.

Just then, a dagger came at Alan from behind. The attacker was Ulysses.

Alan's expression changed, and he twisted his body instantly. With his high speed, he easily dodged Ulysses' attack.

Ulysses wasn't surprised. As Alan moved, he threw a thumb-sized metal bead. The bead exploded instantly, and the massive impact sent Alan flying.

"Now's the time," Derek shouted from a distance, waving his staff.

Derek commanded, "Earth Dragon Impact!"

Ryan commanded, "Earth Pulse!"

Two knock-up skills hit Alan one after another. At the same time, General Ryan turned into a shadow and rushed up, chaining a series of knock-up skills, keeping Alan airborne.

"Don't let him land! Kill him directly!" General Ryan yelled.

Seeing Alan being knocked up, Andrew was ecstatic. A sinister smile spread across his face as he charged at Alan.

Andrew yelled, "Dragonspine Slash!"

Andrew continued, "Icebound Impale!"

Andrew added, "Venomfang Slash!"

Andrew roared, "Celestial Spear Thrust!"

One knock-up skill after another hit Alan, quickly depleting his health while keeping him airborne.

Three level-100 gold bosses, along with Andrew, poured attacks on Alan.

Andrew said excitedly, "He's finally going to die!"

Andrew's face twisted with excitement. Being toyed with by Alan had made him extremely angry. Now that he finally had a chance, he wasn't going to let Alan get away.

Alan remained calm. He had been careless, thinking his speed boost would let him dodge basic attacks, so he hadn't kept moving. This gave Ulysses the chance to beat him up.

But it didn't matter. The real despair would come after they killed him.

Alan's skill, Lunar Purification, had just cooled down, but he didn't use it. He knew the national war hadn't started yet because these people still thought killing him would turn the tide. So, he decided to let them kill him once, making them fall into complete despair.

Snowflake Chaser wondered aloud, "Is he finally going to be killed?"

SnowflakeChaser frowned from a distance. Many others had the same thought. Alan's strength had exceeded their imagination.

"The undefeated myth is finally going to end," Blade Warrior said and smiled, thinking that if Alan could be defeated, he wasn't strong enough.

Andrew delivered the fatal blow to Alan, who fell on the spot.

"Finally killed this bastard," Andrew said as he smiled. "Follow me to counterattack the demon lair and make sure these Night Stalkers never return!"

Andrew led the city guards into the Night Stalkers' formation.

However, three seconds later, Alan resurrected and began a new round of harvesting.

"General Andrew, he's back," Derek said, looking at the resurrected Alan in disbelief.

Alan was now level 49, proving he had indeed been killed. But after being killed, he should have resurrected in Central City or his territory, which would have taken time. How could he appear here so quickly?

Seeing the resurrected Alan, Andrew roared in anger, "This pisses me off!"
