Chapter 260 The Descent of the Deity: Night Spirit God
The creepy kid didn't give a damn about what Alan was thinking. He swung his staff down at Alan again.
The Reaper's Domain spread out, with dark tendrils snaking everywhere, and a beam of black light started forming in the sky.
That dark beam shot down from the heavens, hitting Alan in a flash.
A horde of undead burst out from the Reaper's Domain, attacking the dark beam and tearing it apart bit by bit.
"Let's get out of here."
Alan didn't have time to overthink.
With one quick step, he pulled Dashiell into the Royal Portal, and they vanished.
"They actually blocked it."
The creepy kid wasn't fazed by Alan's disappearance; his eyes turned pitch black. They looked like an endless abyss, filled with nothing but fear.
"I found you."
A grin spread across the creepy kid's face.
He took a step forward, and a dark door appeared in front of him.
He stepped through the door and disappeared.
Not far away, Lysander, in the middle of a fight, suddenly turned his head, shock written all over his face.
"To stop the revival of the ancient Jinse Empire, have the gods really gone this far?"
"Getting distracted while fighting me? You're asking for it!"
The elite warrior, who had gone through four job changes and wielded a long spear, roared and charged at Lysander.
Lysander didn't even look back. A chain of seawater from his domain lashed out at the spear-wielding warrior.
The warrior, who could usually hold his own against Lysander, was sent flying by the lash.
In Lindataria.
For safety, Alan left the Chaos Territory, taking Dashiell to Lindataria in the Oceanus Kingdom.
"Hurry up."
Alan urged.
Dashiell said, "No."
Just as Dashiell was about to act, Alan yanked him back.
Dashiell asked, "What's going on?"
Dashiell was confused, but before Alan could answer, a black hole appeared on the resurrection altar in Lindataria.
The creepy kid fell from the black hole, smashing his staff onto the resurrection altar.
A loud explosion occured.
The resurrection altar in Lindataria shattered.
Other players near the altar were stunned.
"Who is this guy? He looks like he's been drained of blood."
"Is that the main issue? He just destroyed the resurrection altar! What are we gonna do?"
"No way, the Ice King just wrecked this place, and now another tough guy appeared? Maybe it's good to overthrow the regime again; will everyone get rewards if a new kingdom is established?"
In Siren City!
The moment the creepy kid showed up, Alan used the Royal Portal to escape.
But it was the same story. As soon as they got to the resurrection altar in Siren City, the creepy kid followed and destroyed the altar.
"Seriously, is this never gonna end?"
Alan was getting pissed.
With Three Heads and Six Arms, he went all out, unleashing a storm of arrows at the creepy kid.
The creepy kid moved and vanished.
When he reappeared, he was already behind Alan.
If it weren't for the God of the Undead's domain, he might have popped up right next to Alan and killed Dashiell.
"Dashiell, do you know this guy?" Alan asked.
Dashiell shook his head. "Nope, if there was someone this tough in the Netherland before, our Chaos Territory would've been toast ages ago."
The creepy kid stayed cool, like he had everything under control. "Gonna keep running?"
Alan sighed. "Plenty have tried to stop me before, and it never ended well for them."
The creepy kid didn't flinch. "I'm not like them; I'm the exception."
"And how do you know you're the exception?" Alan shot back. "Let the one inside you come out and talk. Some things are beyond your pay grade."
The creepy kid, who had been all calm and collected, looked surprised for the first time.
Then, his body trembled a bit, and when he spoke again, his voice had turned into a hollow-sounding female voice.
"You figured me out? Well, I guess I've been pretty obvious with my powers."
Alan was stunned.
Damn!
There really was a god inside this creepy kid.
"To stop the revival of our ancient Jinse Empire, you'll go to any lengths" Alan said.
The creepy kid waved a hand dismissively. "At worst, I'll just sleep for another few millennia. I've slept through so many years already; a few more won't matter."
"Is that so? You should know a cataclysm is coming. For you gods, it's a big opportunity. Have you thought about what you might miss if you sleep through it?" Alan asked.
The creepy kid looked surprised.
"You really do know a lot."
Then, switching gears, the creepy kid continued, "But so what? If I sleep, does that mean the end of your Jinse Empire's revival?"
"I'm actually curious. With so many powerful gods in our Jinse Empire, why did they choose to sleep?"
"Aren't our gods strong? Yet they all chose to sleep collectively."
The creepy kid seemed to be losing patience and waved his hand.
"Here, you can't beat me. Even with the Royal Portal and the God of the Undead's artifact, it's not enough."
"I am a god, unless you can summon one yourself."
Alan grinned. "You are a god, but I think you're just a god who's revived more. Your true form is still sealed, right?"
"So what? Even if I can only use one ten-thousandth of my peak power, it's still enough to mess with you." the creepy kid laughed.
"And aren't you the same? You can only use a tiny bit of the God of the Undead's artifact's power, otherwise, you might actually give me some trouble."
Alan didn't deny it. The god inside the creepy kid thought his divine domain came from the God of the Undead's artifact and that he was only using a tiny bit of its power.
The God of the Undead indeed only used a tiny bit of his domain. If he fully unleashed it, it would immediately attract the attention of other gods.
It might even bring about the chaos of Ragnarok.
The current domain was a weakened version of the God of the Undead's domain.
"Night Spirit God, I didn't expect you to be so low as to come in person."
At that moment, a voice Alan found somewhat familiar rang out.
As the voice came, Lysander was seen walking over casually.
On his deep blue seawater chains, he was dragging the corpses of two people.
They were the female assassin and the spear-wielding warrior who had come with the creepy kid.
