Chapter 255 The Three Major Domains Emerge

Elowen noticed Alan was totally ignoring her and just kept attacking others, which made her super mad.

The two tentacles behind her whipped out at Alan like lightning.

Alan heard the sonic boom and got a bit startled. "Supersonic!"

Besides attack speed and movement speed, there was another way to boost an archer: the flight speed of their arrows.

Alan's attack speed was quick, but strong NPCs could still block his arrows because they didn't fly fast enough.

Later in the game, players could boost the flight speed of their long-range attacks. This wasn't just for archers; mages, priests, and other long-range classes, even warriors, had long-range attack methods.

If your long-range attack speed was too slow in the late game, some fast-moving enemies could dodge them.

Oberon and Kenneth did just that. If they had to block all of Alan's arrows head-on, their weapons would be toast, even if they were demigod level.

Plus, with their attack speed, blocking all of Alan's arrows would be impossible. A big reason they could dodge Alan's arrows was their movement.

Right then, Elowen's two tentacles came crashing down on Alan like lightning. The first tentacle got blocked by Alan with the Divine Whip of Striking and retracted instantly, like it got shocked, with Elowen letting out a painful scream.

At the same time, the second tentacle hit Alan, and a huge damage number popped up above his head.

-1001980!

Over a million damage, and that wasn't even a critical hit.

At this point, probably only Alan and James could take such a hit.

"What is that in your hand?" Elowen asked, even though she had hit Alan. She didn't keep attacking and instead eyed Alan's Divine Whip of Striking warily.

Alan wasn't in the mood to chat and kept firing arrows.

Over at the resurrection altar in Siren City, SnowflakeChaser looked pale. She had only taken on Ambrose's task to transport them somewhere. With just one trip, she'd get a nice reward.

But before she even got there, she got attacked out of nowhere and ended up back at the resurrection altar in Siren City.

If that was all, she wouldn't care much. Ambrose had paid her well for this trip. But the problem was, she kept losing health. She had died five times now. Every time she resurrected, she died again. The altar couldn't protect her.

She had a good mount and top-notch gear, but even with that, she was getting one-shotted.

"Who the heck is it?" SnowflakeChaser opened the kill log, but the killer's name was hidden, just showing as "hidden nickname."

She had no idea why this was happening and no way to deal with it.

Suddenly, she remembered hearing about a streamer who had badmouthed Ice King and kept dying afterward.

It seemed like Dashiell's brother had ticked off Ice King in Siren City before and had a similar experience.

"It's Ice King!" SnowflakeChaser realized, but she was still puzzled. She had only taken on a task to transport people; how did she end up offending Ice King?

Then it hit her. She muttered, "Ambrose and his crew are going after Ice King? Damn it, they set me up!" She wanted to scream.

She quickly sent a message to Ice King through her friends list.

SnowflakeChaser: [Ice King, I just took on a transport task, it's all a misunderstanding. If I had known they were going to deal with you, I would never have taken their task.]

After sending, a red exclamation mark popped up.

System prompt: [Sorry, you are not his/her friend. Please add him/her as a friend to chat.]

SnowflakeChaser was stunned. "Ice King, such a petty person?" She was furious. She was a goddess-level player, and he was being so petty with her.

She cursed, "What kind of man is that?"

She cursed Alan a thousand times in her head, but now she couldn't contact him, and her health points were still dropping. She'd die upon resurrection.

Losing one or two levels was fine, but if she dropped to level one, SnowflakeChaser couldn't handle it. If she dropped to level one, she wouldn't be able to equip ninety percent of her gear, and her strength would take a huge hit.

The worst part? She didn't know how long this would last.

'Send a server-wide announcement,' she thought. But then she realized, in Chaos Territory, there were no server-wide announcements, making it useless.

Without hesitation, SnowflakeChaser messaged her guild members, asking them to send a server-wide announcement. Even though Chaos Territory couldn't send them, they could still hear them.

She had been in Chaos Territory long enough to know that.

Meanwhile, in the Ashford Mansion, Alan was fighting Elowen. After getting burned by Alan's Divine Whip of Striking, Elowen's attacks became more cautious. With her being careful, Kenneth was the one taking the heat.

Kenneth kept backing off, trying to get out of the fight. But Alan was relentless, and arrows kept flying at Kenneth.

"Ice King, you're going too far!" Kenneth shouted angrily.

Alan stayed calm. "It's just us left, is there any need to hide? Come on, let me see your domains."

Kenneth sighed. "Ice King, why did it have to come to this?"

A cold wind blew around Kenneth, freezing the ground and making snowflakes fall. "Reintroducing myself, Kenneth, emissary of the Ice Goddess, at your service, Ice King."

Oberon chuckled. "Giving up so soon? I wanted to toy with Ice King a bit more, how boring."

Deep blue seawater descended from the sky, surrounding Oberon. The vampire marquis had a sinister smile on his face. "Oberon, emissary of the Sea God, at your service, Ice King!"

The void around Elowen turned dark red, with silver-white eyes opening in the darkness. It was eerie and creepy. "Elowen, slave of the Silver-Eyed Void God, at your service, Ice King!"
